Ibis Bangkok Riverside

Great value for money. Lovely location right on the river front so you can watch the boats passing by and the Bangkok buildings light up at night. Short walk to the boat to take you across the river to the BTS and only a 15 minute walk to Icon Siam mall. Lots of great little restaurants on the road close to the hotel as well as a 7/11 on the corner. Excellent breakfast (great coffee machines) which you can eat inside with the air con or outside watching the boats go by. Would definitely stay again.

Rooms a little small but they represent excellent value for money.

This is our second family stay in Ibis Bangkok Riverside, and once again, we were satisfied all in all. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk from the Saphan Taksin sky train station, or Chao Phraya express boat, which easily link you to the public transportation lines. Yet, positioned in a Green and tranquil spot on the river where you are unaware of the city bustle. The breakfast buffet was rich and tasty, and well replenished even after the official closing time. And the staff as usual, were welcoming and smiling. We will definitely return here our next visit to Bangkok.

The water flow in the shower was weak. (both hot and cold). The windows can not be opened at all, and it would have been nice to let some fresh air in the room.

A while ago (maybe 3 years ago) I had already left our feedback about our staying experience at Ibis Bangkok Riverside, and you know what, since then the little has changed. Honestly, we keep coming back here for 4 years in a row, and we don't want even to think about choosing any other hotel in Bangkok, because in our opinion this hotel is literally the best option. It is an Oasis, surrounded by bustling big city life and at the same time it has almost everything for restoring peace in mind of it's guests: lovely dining area with spectacular view of vessels of any kind going by the Chao Phraya back and forth; delicious food; amazing swimming pool surroundedby garden; small but cozy rooms; amazing Wi-Fi signal (million times better than it was, let's say, 2 years ago); perfect location with everything you need just a stone's throw away; spacious parking and, of course, amicable staff, who is ready to help if you need it. And you get all these (and something else I probably forgot to mention) for more than reasonable price. To cut a long story short, Ibis Bangkok Riverside for us it's a love from the first sight which lasts 4 years, and we do hope that our love story will last as long as it's possible.

Clean & tidy, right on the river with plenty of activities on the river, particularly of a night time, giving us a wonderful light & music show whilst sitting in the back bistro-bar area having a cocktail and a club sandwich. Plenty happening all the time, with people coming & going, wonderful pool area and large dining room

Ask for a river view room, we got one BUT we could see part of it and the city behind, as it was only a normal size window not a scenic window!! The pool area is magnificent HOWEVER they close it at 7pm which is way too early with the warm balmy nights we enjoyed there

The riverside location is excellent. Just a nice place to stay with a good pool. Breakfast was included and it was simple but good.

There was a dog in the room across the hall from our room. It barked all night. I notified the staff and they came to see and hear for themselves the disturbance the dog was making but they said they could do nothing about it. They offered to move me to an "upgraded" room. I said, "Move the dog" to an upgraded room but they said they could not do that. The noise was bad enough that I moved to another hotel.

As this is a 3 star hotel it is very good for the price. I always say that you only get what you pay for. The location is fairly central, 1 hour from airport 600bart, on the river, just 10 mins walk from Iconciam and the hop on hop off ferry's are only 30 bart or 150 for the day. Taxi's will take you anywhere for 100 or 200 bart. Room was clean tidy, Breakfast was fantastic, Pool area & bar were great where i spent some time, happy hour from 5-7 buy 1 get 1 free. Overall great place, staff were fantastic & I total recommend The Ibis Riverside Bangkok.

Not much was to dislike

Perfect location for me: loved the view of the river, the green surrounding the pool and the easy access to plenty of places to eat as well as ferry and MRT stations. The staff is very helpful and kind, which is always a plus! The breakfast is good value for money considering the big variety of food and drinks you find at the buffet.

The room could have been cleaner especially the bedding - not a big deal for me but can put some people off. The walls are indeed very thin so it can be very noisy, it depends on what types of neighbouring guests you get of course but with the many families with kids staying, it can be pretty intense noise wise both early morning and at night

Really liked this hotel, riverside location is great and you can spend ages just watching the river go by. We didn't actually get a chance to use the pool during our short stay (too busy sightseeing!) But it looked very clean and well maintained. The common areas were clean and spacious, staff were always friendly and English level was good. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms were spacious and clean. No complaints. Location was ideal outside central Bangkok so not noisy to too overwhelming to walk outside, but close enough that it's easy to get anywhere, I'd recommend using the river boats to get around, but the local BTS station isn't far away.

Breakfast was ok for the price with a reasonable choice

+ the location is very good with a view of the Chao Phraya River + I also appreciate the minibus provided by the hotel that connects with the BTS (rapid train) and MRT (metro) stations + I warmly recommend outdoor massage sessions (next to the hotel pool). The staff is very knowledgeable.

- more attention to breakfast would be very helpful. Especially the eggs (eye-on-the-sky) and the omelet, respectively the coffee! These items ran out very quickly and required staff attention. There were two coffee machine, but due to high demand there were interruptions and queues of 5-6 people! - also, I think it would be useful if more people at the reception were trained to speak fluent English
