Fer Hotel

We stayed 3 adults and a 2 year old. The room was true to the pictures and had a good size. Me, my husband and our son stayed in the room with double bed, while my dad stayed in the living room with sofa bed. The two rooms have a door in between, so there is possibility for privacy. My dad has back issues which is why we asked for a extra bed instead of sleeping on the sofa bed. The staff made that request possible. The room service was top standard. Elegant products with nice fragrance, slippers, bathing rope, daily water bottles. The staff made us feel like home. They showered my 2 year old with love and attention, so every morning when he woke up, he couldn’t wait to get out of the room to greet them. The owner gifted him apples and he ended up guarding the apples with his life. One apple even made it back to Denmark. We also had a nice chat with the owners dad on the rooftop, who gave us an interesting insight in Turkish politics. Thank you both for taking your time to give us a authentic experience. Breakfast is delicious and various. Would have been nice if it lasted until 11 - our son slept in almost every day, so we had to make a little plate for him, he could eat in the room once he was awake. The location is super; few minutes walk to tram line and metro line. Neighbor to grand bazaar, sultanahmet and Haifa Sofya mosque, 5-10 min walk to mehmetpasha shopping street and Egyptian bazaar, 15 min walk to tokapi. Everything is so easy to reach from Fer Hotel. We took a yellow taxi from airport, around 400 Turkish lira but he dropped us of 1,5 km from hotel claiming cars could not enter. it was possible, he just needed to take another/longer route. Hotel ordered taxi to airport for 500 Turkish lire and the taxi picked us up in front of hotel. For public transport we bought the Istanbul card (50 lira), which can be bought and filled with money at every single tramway and metro station. We were 3 adults who shared one card.

There are 2 glass doors that can be opened in the room. When you open the right glas door, it is secured by a glass wall, so a child won’t fall out unless you climb above. But the other glas door has no glass wall but instead a wooden wall, but it is located about 15-20cm from the glas door. Unfortunately we did not know this when we oppened both glas doors, so our son was very close to fall in between. Luckily we noticed it right away and grabbed him. Maybe you should just lock that glas door permanent so that it won’t be possible to open.

This hotel was AMAZING as a frequent flyer this is the kind of hotel I look for! Clean modern and located so close to the Historic parts. Everything was a 5 minute walk and the bosphorpus was 10min. The staff are so so sweet kind and helpful! Best hotel in Istanbul ✅

Great location, walking distance to many main attractions, restaurants and tram. Helpful friendly staff. Beautiful room and bathroom. 2 quick lifts. Nice big bed, sheets and towels. Great breakfast. Felt very welcome. Nice boutique size.

Rooftop bar and dining area only open for breakast. Complicated electronic light switches made it difficult to get your choice of lights on and off and you needed your phone to illuminate it to turn on the bathroom light at night without lighting the whole room. A bit of a drain smell from the bathroom. Like all hotels in the area, traffic is a nightmare.

Close to Grand Bazaar and short walk to The Eminönü. The rooms are very clean and we had a very comfortable stay.

The breakfast could have been better, it was not great as we were hoping for more variety like sausages, roasted mushroom & grilled chicken or meatballs

This hotel is 5 Star in my mind. Fabulous decorations. Truly comfortable bed and sheets. Spotless clean. Delicious breakfast. Staff was outstanding with help and directions. Every detail necessary for comfort was truly amazing. Plus it was a perfect location to see what we wanted to walk to.

This is the best hotel ever. I wish we stay there again. Very nice, knowledgeable, polite , english speaking personal. We had a small issue with a thermostat and we get better room when we requested it. The best location, high level of security. Great room service. We didn’t try their breakfast since there plenty of places where you can eat Turkish cuisine. My true hotel score is 10 out of 10. Thanks :-) P.S. I wish we have this quality of hotels in the USA .

Breakfast room was in a good location. I loved that the elevators were always available at the ground floor. It felt very welcoming. In my many travels I had never experienced this with the elevator service. Hotel public bathrooms were nice.

Room was not what I paid for . The deal was around $2400 C for reduced rate of $1650 for 6 days. That would mean that the original price of the room was $400 per night. This was NOT a $400 per night room. No extra items like toothbrushes were provided until the fourth day of our stay. Cleaning was OK.

We were greeted by very friendly & accommodating staff. We were pleasantly surprised to learn we’d been upgraded to a corner suite at no extra charge we made our stay even better! We did not take advantage of the breakfast but while we waited for a hotel coordinated airport transportation we were offered & gladly accepted a complimentary americano & bottled water. Great recommendations for food was provided & staff went the extra mile on more than one occasion.

We would have preferred a slightly more elevated bed for ease of getting in & out of. The “volume”ring on the shower worked well but came off in my hand - I informed the front desk when we checked out,pleasantly

From the moment we arrived to when we left, we were welcomed with open arms by the hotel staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean (compliments to the cleaning ladies, who were also very friendly even though they spoke little or no English) but also very modern and extremely well-equipped. The first night, it was a bit of a struggle to get the temperature down, as a warm room is not ideal to sleep in, even when it is near freezing outside. In this again, compliments to the staff, who immediately took my concerns about this seriously and did everything possible to get the temperature in our room a little lower. Breakfast was very extensive - I certainly didn't lack anything - and again, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and all amenities were present (we even got a gift, which was so thoughtful).

The only downside to this hotel, was that there is no bar or restaurant - only breakfast and room service (order via a QR code, wide selection - did not try). This is something we personally did miss quite a bit, to be able to have a drink after dinner in the comfort of the hotel, without having to think about transport to the hotel (now we had to do this on location, and did have to think about how to get back to the hotel).

I like everything about the hotel. During our arrival, after a very long flight, the operational manager greet us and offer us hot drinks to settle during check in process. The staff and the owner are very helpful. The room is nice cozy and clean. Breakfast is great. The hotel looks modern, clean, smells nice and even the emergency staircase looks so expensive and luxury. The staff are so so nice and very welcoming. My husband lost his iphone near the mall, the hotel staff took initiatives by walking me to the nearest police station, they even help my husband to find the iphone too! The operational manager, Ibrahim, are the most helpful staff there. And staff named Fatih, we cant forget him for being really2 friendly and helpful. The staff really take care of us until we are settled in the car to go to the airport Will definitely come to that hotel again!
