Rast Hotel Sultanahmet

The staff was very accomodating. Sevgi was a breath of fresh air always asking if anyone needs anything, checking if everything was to our satisfaction. The other employee was also very nice and helpful ( didnt know his name). Cleaning staff provided small things that were needed in our room without being told. The receptionists were very helpful in many areas since our stay was a long one. Had an incident in the tram and a walet was stolen along with my credit cards and sim cards.. Mr. Ihsan the receptionist offered great help at the time even gave us the hotel phone to make international calls to cancel the credit cards immedately. Breakfast buffet was good. The view was amazing, I even invited relatives to spend the evening together on the Terrace. Upon leaving, the receptionist gave us a small turkish delight box as a farewell gift. Definetley recommed it.

The size of the room wasnt the same as was written in the website. But it was enough for us so I didn't make an issue of it.

It's a fantastic hotel. The view is probably the best in Istanbul. Terrance is open 24/7 has close views of Aya Sophia, Sultan Ahmed blue mosque and many others. The terrace is an amazing feature with coffee and tea and friendly staff. Great for relaxation. Especially Sevgi and Gokhan made us feel welcomed. Sevgi served us delicious Turkish coffee. It's a great location with most touristy attractions within walking distance. Breakfast is included which makes it a good deal. Thank you Rast hotel and staff. Forgot to mention the lobby was very comfy to wait for cabs and chill at too.

Everything was great one comment is the rooms are smaller and moderate condition which is I heard is usual for European hotels in historic neighborhoods.

Hotel is small and very pretty, but the best part is definitely the view from the rooftop restaurant. You will be seriously stunned! Staff is really kind and friendly, especially in the restaurant, and I need to emphasize, so patient with guests making photos all the time. :) Location is the best you can imagine in the European part of the city.. Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque are in less then 10min walking distance. Breakfast was served even before announced time. It was different every morning and, for me personally, it was great that it had mix of traditional Turkish and international dishes. Even though the hotel is modern, I loved the way they served Turkish coffee. To sum up, we were really happy with our stay!!

The location is perfect. The view from the terrace is amazing. You could sit there all day. The staff serving at the restaurant Gokhan and Sevgi are amazing. They are very helpful and full of smiles

For us personally the pillows were not comfortable and the room size was a tad small compared to other double rooms we have stayed in. Probably my mistake should have booked a king room.

on booking, this hotel is rated 4 stars, but when i arrived i saw at the entrance it is a 3 star rated hitel

Location is perfect, in between Sultanahmet and Cemberlitas tram stops, so Blue Mosque, Hagia Sopia and plenty other sights, Starbucks even are a short walk away. The hotel is 10 steps off the main road so not much incline walking there. Hotel itself is clean, room sizes are average, some are more spacious than others, we book 3 rooms when we go so we've been offered a mix. Breakfast is one of the best I've had in Istanbul (I've been 4 times, 3 different hotels, last 2 times was at Rast), plenty of cold Turkish mezze style options, cheeses, meats, breads, cookies, and 6 hot items. They also offer omelettes/fried egg etc fresh to order. Breakfast is served on the terrace and the views are spectacular. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating, at reception and at breakfast and it really helps that they know English well. You'll most likely meet Isa at reception who'll help you out with day trips, taxi arranging from hotel and any issues you may have during your stay. Hamza the owner, very approachable and friendly, was available a few times during our stay and very helpful too.

The only hiccups we had are that we went in early November so the AC wasn't on from day 1 and it got quite hot so we had to leave the balcony door open during the day. But by day 3 they turned it on, assuming enough people asked! Also, the room entry cards failed quite often so there's that. But other than that, I cant fault them honestly, probably one of the best location and service combos you'll find this side of Istanbul.

Room was on the 5th floor. The floor above is the breakfast room/roof terrace. What this meant was that from 7am each morning there was considerable noise from chairs/tables being moved around the floor above. The same was true if anyone went up to the roof terrace at night (happened once). I would certainly stay at the Rast again but probably ask for a lower floor; if you are an early riser it would not be a problem.

The hotel situated in the city centre , 3 minutes away from the main square in Istanbul. Very beautiful terrace view. Breakfast included, and it’s pretty good and simple. Everything inside the room was very clean and stuff was friendly and nice. The room was comfortable for one person and I think will be enough for two people As well ( as soon as you are not planning to stay indoors the whole day 😀).

Transfer does not accept international card payment. Better to pay with cash.

The hotel is in the perfect location by all the main tourist attractions in Sultanahmet. The tram stop is walking distance too. The hotel was very clean and has all the amenities you would expect. The breakfast terrace is perfect as it has very good views and the hotel provides a very good selection of breakfast items. The breakfast staff Gokhan was very helpful all the time and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable and ensure we were happy at breakfast. Bayram and another gentleman at reception were very helpful in assisting us with our queries and best locations to visit and how to get there which is very useful. The rooms were cleaned and cleaning staff were very nice and always smiling and ensured the room was cleaned everyday. I would definitely stay here again as it is the perfect location. There is also a lift and the reception area is very beautiful. The historical books in reception give a very good history into the famous locations too. Really nice touch.

The manager n the staffs are very helpful and polite. The hotel bfast is reasonable. Hotel location is the best. Near to all the tourist attraction. 5 mins walk to Hajah Sophia blue mosque Basilica Cistern. Hotel near to tram station sultanahmet Station.

Don't take taxi to travel as the driver alway try to cheat the tourist. We had very very bad experience. Best to take train. Grand bazaar n spice Market is another tourist attraction that the store owners will cheat tourist. You can just visit those places but need to be very careful when buying from them. They really a theft ..
