Arrived early morning and was treated to a complimentary breakfast and luggage storage. Breakfast buffet located at a nearby hotel (Panoramic Restaurant) with a great view. Upon check-in we were offered a complimentary upgrade which we very much appreciated. Hotel staff were very kind and friendly, especially the owner who made you feel like family.

The additional spoils and hospitality made the stay worth it, but if I had to mention minor changes: - A bit more variety in breakfast to stand-out from other hotels - Room/hotel was a bit small (but we were aware of this upfront) - The hotel was on an incline so was a bit tiring to walk-up (but this is to be expected in Istanbul) - The bathtubs are a bit high to climb over (would have been nice if there were rather walk-in showers)

Everything was perfect!!! I felt like I am at home! Dede is one of the sweetest, kindness, helpful person who I have ever met in Türkce :))) astaff are very good people! I love them all!!! They made my time to be wonderful, too! The room is very nice and clean and well equipped.. has everything what we need.. hair dryer, safe, tv, kettle etc. The bed was perfect to sleep very well.. big and hard, whatI like.. if u would like to be in a qiet room u need to ask the rooms what is behind, but I love to hear that noice what is coming from the street… to get that energy what is coming from that amasing people and place.. Choose this small hotel cos you will be in a perfect place.. believe me!!! My heart longs to return!!! The breakfast is on the next street, in the big hotel, u can walk 2 minutes to be there and enjoy the gorgeos panorama during your eating from the top.. The food is nice.. small breakfast place but they have everything! Dede.. I miss you all!!! 🥰🇹🇷❤️🙏🏼

The room is clean, with a good size and lighting. The bathroom is big and has a great shower and a bathtub. The hotel is located in a small building, but has an elevator, which is amazing. The owner is very kind. The breakfast is great, it is at a hotel across the street, with a panoramic view of Sultanahmet. The location is among the best in Istanbul: 5 minutes from two tram stations, Gülhane Park and Hagia Sophia, and less than 10 minutes from Grand Bazaar.

The curtains don’t block much light, which makes it hand to sleep, and the room is noisy at night because of the many businesses along the street.

The location was great, really close to Hagia Sofia etc. The staff were very friendly and gave us recommendations for excellent vegan baklava. The breakfast (in another hotel a few doors up) was good with great views from the rooftop restaurant. The room was small but had everything we needed.

The wooden floor collected alot of dust so socks were needed. We later discovered slippers were provided in the wardrobe, which would have been useful if we saw them earlier.

Very central location, very quiet small hotel. There are 2 rooms per floor and you will never hear your neighbours. It does not face busy streets but at the same time it's a 3 min walk to mosques and public transport. Very kind and friendly staff, daily cleaning. It's an absolute charm amongst all other hotels. I stayed there for 4 nights & felt like at home, very safe too. Everything in the rooms worked, no smell. Highly suggest staying here.

Location is good and very close to main tourist attractions. Quite a few food places nearby as well. Quieter area of Istanbul. The room was comfortable and the best thing was that the building had a lift. The room was cleaned daily. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was served in the adjacent hotel which had a spectacular rooftop view.

The road for going up isn't that steep. But the road going down was quite steep if one is coming back that way. Room looked slightly bigger in the pictures.

We were a short distance from the Hagia Sophia, right in the heart of the city, the location was incredible! The staff was kind and helpful, they gave us useful tips too. The room was really small but clean, but we didn’t plan to spend much time there either way, so it was perfect for us. The breakfast was at a different hotel, but it was really close (40-50meters) and it was a panorama restaurant so we could see the hagia sophia. All in all, it turned out to be a lot greater than we expected! Definitely recommend!

Even though the hotel suited our needs perfectly, the rooms are really small. I would mostly recommend this hotel to people who would like to spend their days in the city looking around instead of staying in their rooms.

I greatly enjoyed my stay at Merial Hotel! The location is amazing -- it is 7 minutes away form the Archaeological Museum and 10 from Hagia Sofia, and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. The room was very comfortable, clean, and nicely looking, and the WIFI worked really well, which was very important for me. Breakfast was very good -- at the top terrace level of the nearby hotel -- and came with an amazing view! I will be definitely staying there again!

Simple, small and charming local style hotel. Very good comfortable beds and cotton bed linen, superb value for money. Breakfast is 10 metres away at rooftop restaurant in neighbouring hotel and a fantastic healthy choice of food. Reception could not be friendlier or more helpful. Location is super. I would not hesitate to book again if returning to Istanbul.

Strongly recommend to stay at this place! it's very nice, cosy and just 5 mins walk from Sultanahmet square. The manager Gurkhan is very friendly, helped us to make HES codes. The room is very good, a lot of toiletries in bathroom, a kettle in the room, a.c. works well. Bathroom has that gorgeous washbasin. An awesome buffet in the neighbour hotel on the roof with a picturesque view on Bosphorous was included. All the best and my recommendation!
