Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but very nice to be able to have it at an outside table by the street, which was quiet as it is a pedestrianised area. The location of this hotel is unbelievable - literally less than 5 minutes' walk from the Haghia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern and the Blue Mosque, a few minutes more to Topkapi Palace and the Archeological Museum. The general manager, Vefa, was great, very accommodating.

Didn't apply to us as we had a room on the first floor, but I'm glad I didn't have to walk up and down the stairs to the second and third floors, the stairs are quite steep!

Location, nice staff, room and interior decorating, cleanliness.

First, in my room there was a lack of electric outlets (I found 1 for phone charging but it was not in good shape. And 1 was behind the fridge, almost not accessible for night lamp, kettle etc). From this point of view the hotel is outdated. I can't say about other rooms, only for the room I got. Fortunately the owner brought me an extension with 3 additional outlets. Also, my room was too small even for my 1 night stand. If you put your suitcase on the floor and keep it open, there is no space to pass. Other than that no complaints.

The hotel is located in the historical center near the Saint Sophia Masque. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has many varieties of food, e.g. lentil soup, eggs, fresh vegetables and cheeses, etc. The room is clean and bed is comfortable.

The room is small, but it’s fine if you don’t plan to stay in the hotel during the day. The bath is not very convenient as it implies that you will be drying there which makes it less convenient to take a shower. Pillows were hard in my opinion.

The Kybele Hotel got my attention the last time I was in Istanbul a few years ago.. because of its colorful appearance outside, - then I discovered the amazing interior - Turkish Kandil lamps - thousands of them all over the hotel, ... along with beautiful furniture and Ottoman antiques. So it's fascinating and interesting venue itself. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and kind. It was no trouble to help me print my travel doc (covid entry form), and help me with transport/taxis etc. My room was lovely- very comfortable bed, small fridge and tv and ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was standard Turkish brekkie... lovely in other words! breakfast olives, cheeses, salads and cooked breakfast too. The restaurant staff were also lovely and chatty.

the shower in my room could have been a bit better - but honestly it was adequate enough.

Loved the decor. Beds were comfortable, even the extra sofa bed I slept on. Would definitely stay here again.

Don't order a beer - twice the price of other restaurants, which we didn't realise until after we ordered. Be aware that you will most likely be woken around 6-6.30am by the calling to prayers from the nearby mosques , but that will happen in most places, to be fair. Not a dislike, but just be aware that there are a lot of relatively steep spiral stairs (needed due to the size/layout).

The hotel is incredibly beautiful! The interiors are so exquisite, with so many Turkish ceramics and furnitures! and the location is great: everything is just a few minutes walking distance. But the real reason to choose Kybele Hotel is the quality of its staff! People are so kind and professional, ready to help any way they can. Lovely place!

Great location, loved the décor and breakfast was authentic to Turkey. Staff was helpful. We had the family room on the top floor. Cute balcony with view of street. Their restaurant is comfy and has a nice vibe and the staff is friendly. Bathroom is clean and spacious and they supply enough toiletries and plenty of towels.

Our room had a lot of extra furniture. liked the look but space for four people with bags was difficult. Balcony a little dirty but didnt affect us

Breakfast can be as big or small as you like. It caters to any possible needs. The fresh, seasonal fruit is great! A great way to start the day! From the overnight staff who helped in all sorts of ways, others helped with learning the public transport system, or making sure I got a set priced taxi -always friendly!

My return visit was great. If you don’t like stairs request a lower level.

The staff is soooo helpful and extremely helpful. Yes the location is so central to sites, but the people, the food, the decor and comfort really make a hotel. This place had it all.

This hotel is a gem. So centrally located but quiet inside. Our room was really big and had a balcony with a superb view - fab fab! The hotel interior is so cute and you just feel at home. The staff are so friendly and really helpful. The quirky pavement cafe was just the icing on the cake! Loved every minute we spent there. Yes, there are steep stairs and this hotel is not five star but it would be my choice every time.
