Ten out of ten for location. Close to most of the best attractions and Grand Bazaar. Would especially recommend to senior citizens because of the lift in the hotel to reach the upper floors, flatness of surrounding area for easy walking and no uphills at the end of a tiring, but fabulous day, closeness to attractions and meeting points plus the Sultahnamed tram station. Also the absolute best view from the breakfast area!!!

The bed were comfortable but smallish (but my husband and I are taller than your average person.) We needed a blanket each, as one was too small to cover both of us. But this is not a problem, as they gave us a second blanket.

The Star Holiday Hotel is in a great central location, right across the road from Sultan Ahmet Square. This means it is walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapı Palace, the Grand Bazaar & the Spice Market. I would describe it as a small boutique hotel over several floors, the room was small but comfortable, it had a double bed, a bedside table, vanity table & stool, small wardrobe, safe, fridge & an ensuite shower room. The room appeared well maintained & clean, it did seem a little cramped for 2 adults, but we would have had more room to move around had this not been a stop over after a couple of weeks with family; so we had lots of cases in the room too. Breakfast was a standard Turkish/continental breakfast & was served in a rooftop dining room that had a fantastic view of the Blue Mosque. The staff were all friendly & helpful, they helped arrange our transfer to the airport as we had returned our hire car due to not planning on driving round İstanbul over the last 4 days. When you leave the hotel & turn left, there is a little newspaper stand, where you can buy your İstanbul card for travelling around the city, there are also lots of shops & restaurants in close proximity. As an aside, I generally need to sleep with a window opened due to sinus issues if the room gets stuffy. I figured being in a first floor room with window grills that it would be safe to leave the window ajar.....ended up being woken up at 3am with my husband chasing a cat around the bedroom that had sneaked in! Poor hubby was trying to save me from cat allergies, I found the whole situation hilarious 😂 I did however have to sleep with the windows closed thereafter. No fault of the hotel & par for the course in most areas of Turkey as they have a high street cat population, I would ask for a room higher than the first floor though if like me you need to sleep with a window opened.

The location. Always the location and the covered rooftop cafe/breakfast area. (You can actually see new year fireworks from here) This is my 4th time staying at this hotel. hagia Sophia is in very close proximity so does sultanahmet tram and if you are a big fan of Hafiz Mustafa, it’s one of the reason why i stayed here.it’s located beside this hotel.can go to those places early in the morning without the crowds.

Do take note that need to walk around 200-300m from the airport shuttle drop off point. Those travelling with many luggages would want to consider.

The all environment of Hotel was superb & excellence due to very close to Sultanahmet Square, even from the outside not so catchy hotel design but when you get inside the small lobby, Foyer, the rooftop restaurant was very well (Clean, Fresh Air and so well maintained) The staff very helpful 24/7, when our baggage lost in Airport transit country, they help us to call when midnight and when arrive our baggage they keep our baggage when we leave stroll around from the hotel thank you so much for your hospitality

Maybe just for the Room picture at website and the actual very different due to the size, but it is pretty much enough

The location of the hotel, the staff is great, everyone works well.

The card used to open the room did not work well or did not work at all. During 4 days of stay I went to the reception 4 times to solve this issue. It was not very convenient. Once I came, I was asked how many days I was staying here, I said that I was staying for 4 days and they renewed my card. I didn't understand this issue and it seemed to me that the card seemed to work only for a day, and the next day it was simply blocked. I really hope that in the future the hotel staff will resolve this issue).

Very friendly and helpful staff, good location (in the heart of Istanbul, only 1-2 minute walk to Hagia Sofia, 20 minutes to closest metro station), very nice view on Blue mosque from the breakfast terrace. The room was small, but clean snd comfortable.

Some other guests spoke very loudly on the corridors at nights.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel that ticked all the right boxes. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the quality-price ratio was unmatched. The breakfast spread was delicious, offering a great start to each day of exploration. What truly sets this hotel apart is its unbeatable location - right across from Sultan Ahmed Square and a tramway station. Notably, all the key attractions, including Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, were within an easy 3-minute stroll. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist. I recommend it.

The view from our room was amazing- we had a large picture window overlooking the Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet Square. The hotel is light and bright and welcoming. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. The area is perfect for tourists as you are right in the heart of the historic area. Tram stop is outside the hotel and it’s a 10 minute stroll to the ferry piers, Galata Bridge and the banks of the Bosphorus. Hotel staff were very helpful. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

The location is amazing you will never get a better location and the view from the terrace specially in the morning while your having breakfast is crazy beautiful. The vaule for the money and The price for this hotel is the best you can get Familly friendly and you can walk anywhere you want 2 mins from aya sofia I will book it again again for sure

They need to clean more often sometimes I had to ask for things in the room like towels or shampoo it's not a big deal but it would be nice if you just find it there without asking

Perfect breakfast european and local food very nice,very clean the hotel too near from the ayia sofia only three minutes and the other sights of ald town ,very kind and polite the people who were working and the recepion very helfull .I recommended this hotel and the price is not expensive .

they dont speak all english but i communicated with them they are so friendly
