Personal is one of the best I saw in recreation sector: very helpful, didn't tried to push some paid stuff. Breakfast is great as well - full covered rooftop with small Swedish table - but more then enough to get you going in Istanbul. I'd recommend to try backed rolls with cheese The view here great as well The location is great - it is in ~10 minutes from Hagia Sofia and T1 tram stop We were staying at Family 1 room (whole apartment). 2 bedrooms, living area and small kitchen - everything where great I'd stay here for another time if I'd need to be in this area ;) P.s. - photo attached was took from roof at breakfast

Rooms need a bit more complex cleaning between guests in hard-to-reach areas like under the bed For some people it will be difficult to get on floor - the access is through quite narrow spin stairs And location is in downhill - so if you need to get somewhere you'll need to climb for some time. So, bottom line: This place is perfect if you are ready for small physical activity and prefer to use public transportation like us

We were in a 2 bedroom apartment which had plenty of space for 3 people. The location was fantastic close to everything. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking available on a lot next to the hotel. Washing machine and drying rack very useful.

There was black mold on the ceiling above the shower. Stairs up to the rooftop breakfast room were challenging and people were smoking in this confined space.

It was walking distance from a lot of the attractions in Istanbul (i.e. Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Grand souk) and walking distance from the tram (around 10-15 mins). The area is surrounded by a lot of cute cafes and restaurants and the area feels quite safe to roam even in the night. The most amazing thing is that they clean the room everyday! They give new towels everyday and we come home with the rooms cleaned well. They also helped us arrange for the PCR test at the hotel and the airport transfer.

Google maps location is not accurate so follow the address on the booking confirmation. We had to ask around (especially we took the airport taxi who barely understands English), and it was night time it was a bit frustrating although not the hotel's fault. The breakfast could have more variety as it was the same thing everyday. It's a bit of a walk to the nearest tram which was a bit tiring during summer! Otherwise location is perfect.

I had an amazing experience staying at the Spinel Hotel in Istanbul. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The location was also perfect, with easy access to popular attractions and delicious restaurants. Walking to historical places like Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace could take 5-10 mins from the hotel. I highly recommend the Spinel Hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul!

Great recommendations for this hotel. It is very close (walking distance) to all attractions in old town (Topakapi, Sultan-Ahmed Square…). The room was small but cleaned every day (+towels), breakfast was really really good! All the things that are downsizing this hotel, such are steep and small staircase (not for older people/or invalids), very small rooms, carpet with stains, are to be expected from a 3-star hotel and are not so important (at least for us) because the staff is so nice and hardworking.Enjoy your breakfast at the upper terrace and stay in beautiful Istanbul for a very good price/quality ratio.

This is the one of the best Place we stay in Turkeye and this is my second time in Turkiye and stayed several hotels Izmir, Cappadocia and Istanbul ……. this is one of the best place for my family stayed during my Turkiye 2 times. For the families its best. Location wise good just 7 min walk to metro and bus in Sultan Ahmet Centre. Breakfast really good and many varieties and delicious. Front desk staffs really good and helpful 24/7 available. I will definitely consider to stay here again.

We enjoyed everything! The location of the hotel is perfect . It takes 5 minutes to reach the central park Sultanahmet with all its sightseengs. It takes 5 minutes to reach Bosfor also. The reseptionists, 3 guys, are very hospitable and helpful. The breakfast is delicious, especially cheese😊.. There is everything you need to spend good time and feel comfortable. We took two tours from resrptioninsts. Really enjoyed them 👍

The location was excellent, right in the center of the city, close to restaurants and tourist spots. The pillows and bed spreads are very comfortable. The terrace where you have breakfast has an amazing view over the sea and the food is nice.

The rooms are very very small so if you have big luggage you might have an issue to fit it in the room. The beds are very squicky and if you move you might wake up the person sleeping next to you.

No matter how many times you come to İstanbul, it's always a pleasure to stay at Spinel Otel! Years are passing by, but the quality of attendance, service, room cleanness and hospitality of every person in management, service or administration is always at height. It's not just a hotel personnel, but rather a kind hotel team or family. Great location in the very heart of historical district, about 3-5 minutes to Sultanahmet Square. And if you're tired of the city bustle, you may easily approach Kennedy Ave. quay behind the hotel in a minute. In a nearby street there's a taxi park. But you may also find it more comfortable using this hotel transfer from/ to the airports no matter when you arrive or departure. The reception desk is open 24/7 and thus is ready to help you any time. A special prominence should be given to seaview rooms. Fascinating beauty of the landscape! It really worth getting up earlier to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise.. And of course I cannot keep silent about those yummy breakfasts, enjoying a marvelous seaview from the last-floor terrace! That's why it's always a great pleasure and a positive experience to stay at Spinel. Don't hesitate to come and stay here!

There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. During the breakfast, there were always some russian women (customers) discussing loudly how bad the things were in Turkey and the EU. It was really annoying. Although it's not a problem of the hotel itself.
