Hotel Broken Column

All the staff were very friendly, and helpful in booking taxis and tours. The room was comfortable, the aircon worked well. It was small but good value for the price. Our Juliet balcony was great to open and watch the busy street below, and the double glazing really shut off the noise at night. The very best thing was the location in the old city was excellent and within easy walking distance to many of Istanbul's famous sightseeing areas, and a tram station.

Breakfast in the hotel was okay, but more choice of local breads would have been nice. The Istanbul traffic jams are legendary so it's advisable to use the tram system where possible.

Location was excellent and the room was comfortable. Staff was nice and my room was cleaned every day and towels changed.

The breakfast was bad, very little variety of food and nothing really seemed to be fresh. I was there for 4 days, but after having breakfast on my first day, I preferred eating out the following days. Also, their POS machines for card payments are very sluggish and charge a 5 or 10 euro fee per transaction depending on which one they’re using. I was charged 10 euros extra when I paid for my room, although I wasn’t informed of this, I figured it out from a bank statement.

Felt very safe there. Clean welcoming family run small hotel. Really good breakfast up on covered terrace with great view of Sea of Marmaris. Very comfortable bed with big fat pillows, slept really well. Was told I’d booked an economy room but they’d upgraded me at no extra charge because it was off season. Efficient shower with good hot water. All the staff were lovely even though most spoke very little English (and my Turkish is non existent). No meals served other than breakfast but hotel surrounded by restaurants and bars. Helped me organise travel from and to airport and booked a day excursion for me.

Only one person spoke really good English and I only saw him once during my three night stay - but it seems ungrateful to mention this when he was around to book my excursion and transfer to airport and everyone else was so helpful.

A nice hotel in the very center of Istanbul, just 5 min. walk from Aya Sofia. Wonderful view on the Bosporus, especially from the hotel terrace on the roof. The receptionists are really friendly and helpful. The room is cleaned every day. Tasty breakfast with a wide choice of foods and drinks.

Our room "Roma" definitely needed some minor repair: the floor near the window was damaged with the water, the kettle's cover was broken, the tap in the bathroom and room door handle also need to be fixed.

Location was good as near restaurants..tourist sites such as blue mosque ..hagia sophia..topkapi..grandbazaar..arasta bazaar and ...money exchange. Tram station in sultan ahmet an not a long walk..room is cleaned daily with fresh towels loo rolls etc..can hear the Azaan which is beautiful..Hotel is reasonable price. Great staff too

At night can hear people outside also music playing in nearby restaurants..not very sound proof windows. Breakfast was okay. Bathroom door knob kept coming out. Hotel needs a bit of work done in it. I was rarely in the hotel as going on tours..if you want everything near then this is the hotel for you.

The birds make noise early in the morning, the room are actualy not on for 4 stars but for the price and 2,3 days are ok

This is my second visit and found very nice location, breakfast and staff behavior. The Hospitality of staff specially at reception and all the staff were cooperative and very professional. Breakfast was good. Great value for money. Location is very closed to landmarks like blue mosque and hagia sophia Saw the owner helping staff and maintaining quality service

Every single member of staff that I encountered was friendly, helpful and respectful. I enjoyed breakfast, a good selection to choose from. I was able to park directly outside. Great location for exploring the old city

I struggled with the stairs, but the staff were extremely helpful with my bags The shower in my room was lovely but it was only an overhead rainstorm shower without also a handheld showerhead.

The staff, especially Ozan (sorry if I'm spelling it wrong). He was so nice and helpful, providing us a lot of useful information about the town. We felt that he genuinely wanted us to have a great experience in Istanbul. The location of hotel is also fantastic, just one step away from Ayasofia and Topkapi.

Well, it feels that a renovation of the facilities would be nice. However, it's fair to say that all basic features are in place and working.

It was shown as a 4 star, but it would be like 2 stars in Spain. It would be important to have A/C in the dining facility, as it is in the upper part of the hotel and it is quite hot in summer.
