The Meretto Hotel Istanbul Old City0

Pleasantly pleased with the hotel, excellent location, yards away from Aksaray tram line. Hotel staff were friendly and always welcoming. Bairam the receptionist was very helpful at all times, catered for all our needs.

Breakfast offering could be improved, a little bit more variety would have been nice. Spa services were satisfactory however not a true Turkish experience you would expect to get from a real Hammam.

The hotel manager did everything to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The service and cleaning was quite good. We also liked the breakfast and the facilities in general. The hotel is located 20min walking from the main attractions and has public transport access very close, which was a big plus for us.

Because it is located in the city centre, there is street noise, but again, the manager was happy to give us an option of a quieter room. When we booked we thought the swimming pool was included in the price, after booking I could see that it would be an additional charge to use the pool. I would recommend the hotel to make it clear on the main description.

The staff was very helpful at all times. Breakfast was good AirCo in the room worked very well. Comfy mattress. We had to stay for an extra night and let us stay in the same room.

We were put on the 2nd floor (which is actually on the 1st) and as the hotel is facing a main street, it gets very noisy sometimes. The Wifi was very bad. You must consider changing it as it doesn’t work properly.

Room doesn't have automatic heating or AC, I would always have to call reception for them to turn it on or to turn it off coffee is awful, just terrible reception Staff speak or understands very poorly English while other don't understand at all The cleaning lady threw my slippers and replaced them with low quality disposable ones and the reception staff could not even understand when I tried to explain. reception manager offered to order us a taxi to the airport although we could call it ourselves through the app, but they offered because that way they could overcharge us so we end up paying more than the fair price and the taxi was late 30 minutes, it smelled awful and didn't even came in front of the hotel, we had to carry our luggage 2 blocks away till the main street

Thanks to all of the staff working on the hotel but Special thanks to BAYRAM, MURAT, FAiSAL who made my stay very happy and comfort as they are very helpful (you can communicate with them in English or Arabic). Also, Special thanks to AYNUR , she is active, helpful and very clean and her response is very quickly. She did everything perfect everyday. All staff always meet you with smiling face which makes you feel relax. The last point, one of the most important things is the location of the hotel which is 2 min to Tram and from 7 to 8 min to metro and bus stations. You can go anywhere without using taxi. Resturants, Exchange shops, supermarkets and Cafes all are very close and around the hotel. I think it meets all of my requirements. The breakfast is very good but if you stay for long time like me it will be redundant but overall it is very good. The internet is perfect. I think if I plan to visit istanbul again inshallah I will stay in that hotel.

The size of the room. This is the only issue I faced but everything else is perfect.

Great location, nice and helpful staff. They changed our room for us without asking which was nice. On one of the days my wife wasn't feeling too great so they allowed me to take breakfast back to the room even though that is not their policy. The pool although small was very nice as were the other facilities. The Spa lady and the front desk staff were lovely.

Not a great variety for the breakfast but what was on offer was tasty. The rooms are quite small. No parking, if you're driving there is limited public parking, the guys on the front desk did assist but it was a nightmare.

I am writing on behalf of me and my friends who traveled from Romania for a short vacation to Istanbul. I can tell you that this hotel is amazing from every point of view. Even though we are travelling on these harsh times, the breakfast they served on this hotel was richer than expected. Regarding location, you have 2 subway lines that are very close and one tram line that takes you downtown. There are nice restaurants near and fast foods at 5 minutes walking distance. Every day the staff was cleaning our room so by the time we were returning to it, everything looked great. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time so for sure if we go back to Istanbul we will choose to stay in the same place.

There's nothing we can complain about. Everything was above expectations. We thank everybody involved for the dedication they proved in receiving us.

The Meretto Hotel's location is perfect, just a minute walk to the tram line which takes you directly to the main sights. Price quality wise this hotel is a great pick too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and kept clean throughout our stay. Free water was provided daily. Guests receive a discount when they use the hotel's spa, which overall turned out to be a great experience.

As a coffee lover the only thing that was lacking in the morning during breakfast was good quality coffee. Only instant coffee was provided as opposed to coffee made of freshly ground beans.

The staff are very friendly and constantly check in with you. They do a lovely job! Good location near tram stop and metro station. 20 min walk to the Grand Bazaar and 30 min walk to the mosques and other main attractions. Good air con. Room was serviced every day.

Check the price of laundry first. It was unreasonably expensive and the staff woke us up at 11:30pm to drop the laundry off which was odd for a hotel. The receptionist gave us a small discount for the laundry in the end. The pool/sauna costs 15 euro per person for 1 hour. This extra cost was not clear at the time of booking. The pool is not worth the cost.

Nice and quiet room,for one person is very comfortable. I was very impressed with hotel staff who were there very helpful and very friendly,welcoming. I been very impressed with my special breakfast,vas very tasty 🙂
