Firstly, our greeting from Natasha the minute we arrived was incredibly warm and friendly, she made my daughters and I feel so welcome into her home and had a wealth of knowledge about the area; where best to eat and sight seeing activities.(Wish I had of listened about where to eat but I had already booked our table for the night!) My two girls LOVED the games room and later when my friend and her daughter joined us we all had so much fun entertaining ourselves with the Foosball/Snooker tables and the darts! The GoT room was a lovely touch considering the local history with the series, and the views from both rooms were beautiful. We had the pleasure of staying in the ‘Pink room’ which had ample space for two adults and three children along with our own separate bathroom. Netflix was included on the tv - no sign in required- which was a really lovely touch and the little complementary brownies, fresh water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets were all really appreciated! All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much to the wonderful hosts for making it possible and we look forward to coming back to Carnately Lodge in the future!!

Absolutely nothing, our stay was perfect!

Tasha a lovely welcoming host we felt right at home from the minute we stepped in the door. Our dog Dave was able to stay in our room with us throughout our stay..nice big grounds so it was safe to let dave outside. Room was very comfy as were the beds and we had access to wifi and netflix. Our breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and theres a nice tea tray in rooms with a kettle to have a cuppa. Its literally 5 mins drive into Ballycastle. We will definately be taking a trip back in the next month or so.

We loved the professional and extremely knowledgable host/hostess (Tash & David. They have excellent information for their surrounding areas. We were able to reach every location with their information. The accommodations were clean and well attended. We were 3 adults and 1 child. We had a queen bed and a bunkbed with queens, it was exactly what we needed with the perfect amount of space for all our suitcases and backpacks! Our daily breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Breakfast was very fresh and cooked perfectly to our expectations. Do not hesitate to book!! This place is the absolutely top quality accommodations.

Not one thing to complain about!

I don’t even really know where to start! With down to earth owners you already have a great atmosphere to get you feeling relaxed and on the right foot for your break away. Natasha went out of her way for all the guests and her customer service was second to none. The location is just outside Ballycastle and is perfect if you are looking to stay outside the crowds of Portrush but not being too far away either, so car would be recommended. The house itself has a long garden drive and is very inviting, with picnic tables set up for guests to make use off, we made great use of these during COVID rather than going to bar, soaking in the sunset enjoying a couple of glasses and even ordering food from local Chinese takeaway, with having the dog with us. Tash was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction and food was great, also with regards to local area and what to do, she had some great recommendations, if you also need to inquire. The inside of the house is lovely and fresh. Rooms are a great size and you can tell there is love put into them. There are three reception rooms downstairs including the breakfast room, I’ll get to breakfast in a minute! A game of thrones inspired room and a games room make up the other two for guests use during the day, which includes a fridge if you want to keep your drinks cold. The beds were comfy and the sound between other rooms was minimal so found it very easy to get to sleep and woke up very refreshed. Rooms do have Netflix if you want to stick a movie on or keep the kids entertained between outtings, etc. The shower was immaculate, 5 star, you know a place is well looked after when the bathroom is gleaming! We were given set times upon arrival/night before breakfast the next day during COVID to stagger arriving downstairs. This wasn’t any issue at all and we got the full works.

This place was a dream! Everything made us feel like we were staying with friends, including being given a glass of Prosecco upon arrival (!), and we had so much fun in their games room! Bunk beds for my boys were both double beds, so they were in heaven, and the breakfast was the best breakfast we’ve ever had at any bed and breakfast. Our puppy was given so much love too, which made us feel really comfortable and happy here. Natasha, the owner, gave us some great tips about places to go, and was so welcoming. Very very happy with our stay here and would have loved to be able to stay a whole week!

Natasha was so accommodating and couldn’t have done more for us. We stayed here for a wedding that was on in the next town. On arrival we were giving Prosecco and had lovely brownies in our room waiting for us. Room was so spacious. Clean and had all the little details you would expect in a hotel. The shower was amazing, lots of pressure and super hot. Natasha made contact with us before arriving and was so friendly and accommodating because we needed an earlier check in to attend a wedding. She even booked us a taxi that came right on time to bring us to the ceremony. Breakfast was so well organised the next morning. Scenic view of the mountain from the front door. 10/10 experience.

We had an AWESOME time!! When we stayed at Carnately, we were the only guests. Even though I was not very communicative with the hosts prior to a late check in, Natasha was very helpful and gracious. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, there were snacks set out and they had thought of many “Little things.” The location was placed very well positionally, allowing us to get an early start on the attractions in the area, such as Giant’s Causeway and Carrick a Rede. In the morning, we had a very big and delicious Irish breakfast that was very inexpensive. After eating, Natasha gave us very helpful advice and some nice conversation before we headed on our way. I would recommend Carnately to anyone staying near Ballycastle!! Wonderful and personable hosts.

Natasha is a truly exceptional host. She made sure we knew about a local festival that would cause road diversions ahead of time. The room was large and very comfortable with a view of the cows in the field. She gave us great recommendations for places to go for dinner in Ballycastle and has a prepared list of attractions with driving times (extremely helpful list!) to make the most of exploring the northern coast. The breakfast was delicious and the chat was hilarious!

Best lodge in Ireland ! Our room was comfy and well decorated with a massive bathroom. Cute puppies playing outside. Nice game rooms, great cozy breakfast area. The home-made breakfast was to die for, with many delicious options. Tash is the best host you can have, friendly, funny and so helpful. She made our vacation even better, booked great restaurants and gave us the best advice on places to visit and activities to do. We will come back !

Natasha and David were wonderful hosts. We haven't stayed in a B&B in twenty years, but Carnately Lodge exceeded our expectations. Everything was spotless. Nothing was any hassle. We had kids with us and the family room was spacious with a spacious bathroom. It was spotless. A perfect base to explore the north coast.
