The Wee Snug

Property was very comfortable for me and my wee dog excellent location very handy to everything all the essential equipment was in the property for cooking washing but as I was only staying a couple of nights it was easier to eat out a very comfortable bed I slept soundly

There is work going on at the property in the entrance hall it doesn't make good for first impression I also found the balcony my wee dog went out on to is in badly need of repair I usually take a couple of weeks up in the summer to Portrush and the balcony would put me of booking the wee snug at that time of year as you couldn't sit outside

Cleanliness was a massive issue, when we arrived it was very clear the placed hadn't been hoovered. There was crumbs on worktop, dishes on draining board, empty toothpaste tube on sink. I messaged right away to get this resolved and the owner replied with "I'll have to speak with cleaners to see what the situation is I'm in holidays in Spain at the minute" I messaged the next day to find out if there was any update, no reply. I messaged a week later to see if we could get this resolved, still no reply. Communication with owner really needs to be better. Also stairs leading into the property are quite steep and don't really suit someone with walking difficulties.

Great location across from the beach, walking distance to restaurants and pubs. It’s an apartment, so there’s plenty of room.

There was some work being done on the building, but obviously that’s temporary. Bed could have been a bit more comfortable.

The 'wee snug' is excellent. This little apartment has everything you need for a stay. We only stayed one night but would happily stay longer and look forward to booking again in future. Had a slip mishap when some belongings were left behind but this was quickly and easily sorted out by the hosts. Really can't fault the wee snug at all. Loved our stay.

The only issue is parking. But this is an issue throughout Portrush.

Close to main street, had all amenities you needed, dog friendly

Was confusing when arriving as the overall building had a different name, and couldn't see the lockbox at first, had a for sale sign on the building, so was confusing, inside the lobby the walls were covered with tarpaulin sheets, did not look appealing.

The property is a lovely quirky little place! Only a small dander to the beach. The bed was super comfy and the doggo enjoyed cosying herself up in the blankets.

The only dislike we had was that we couldn’t heat the bedroom / dining area. The heating was on, but the rooms weren’t as warm as the kitchen / bathroom. Maybe it’s something we were doing wrong. Messaged to see if there was any other heaters, and we got no reply.

The location was amazing, central to everything and easy to find. The street on which its located also has a few dog friendly cafes which was an unexpected bonus. So warm and cosy, decor amazing! Could hear absolutely no outside noise, best nights sleep ive had in a while, can't wait to return!

Every room was warm and cosy however the living room had a slight chill and seemed harder to heat up than the rest of the apartment. Wasnt an issue for us but may be for others if staying more than one night.

Great location, very clean and modern property, good size for 2 people and our 2 dogs. Had a great stay, would definitely return. The bed was really comfortable and that’s a first for any Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at! We didn’t cook, but all mod cons were available.

If we were pushed, only minor things, few light bulbs out, towels very small - bath sheets would be better, would move the shower head holder as doesn’t flow well - is in a shelf.

Excellent location close to the town centre. Easy to access and locate keys. Excellent kitchen and bathroom with a terrific shower. The sofa bed was easy to use and comfortable. Perfect location for a couple who aren’t drivers.

Not a dislike, but maybe another towel or two would have helped. The little outdoor area was very wet and quite basic but we weren’t likely to be using it anyway. Might be tricky for a tall person but not an issue with us. The head protection on the stairs is a good idea! Otherwise, a nice property.
