Heathmount Hotel

All of the staff went above and beyond. For example, house keeping did our laundry for us and folded it for 10 pounds per load. Amazing. The owner chatted with us at breakfast and helped with suggestions for our day. When I made a huge mistake and booked for 3 nights instead of 4, the manager had our room packed up for us (and they did a fantastic job) and helped find another room- she went so far out of her way to help with the situation even thought it was totally my fault. On top of that, the room had a new, modern bathroom, great windows, and luxurious decor with a lot of personality. The restaurant and bar downstairs served excellent food (breakfast. lunch and dinner), which was not easy to come by in Scotland if you are looking for salads you actually want to eat and vegetables that aren't boiled to flavorless mush. Kudos to the chef! Great selection of local options too, including venison and seafood and LOTS of local whiskys and gins to try. It's a popular place, but it wasn't noisy up in the rooms. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk to Bridge Street and has parking (!) which really relieved a lot of driving and parking stress. Would happily stay there again and highly recommend it, particularly for couples.

I would prefer a firmer mattress, but that's a preference- not a comment that the mattress was poor quality. My husband liked the softness. It would also be nice to get two wash cloths each day in the bathroom. But these are very small things and I am sure if I had asked, they would have provided more wash cloths because the service was fantastic.

The staff was awesome! They were genuinely willing to help. Room and the bathroom were much bigger than we expected. They were super clean and very well furnished. We wanted to stay in a quieter part of the area and that met our expectations 100%. The hotel was located in a nice and quiet neighbourhood. Not busy or too touristy. Just the way we liked it. The breakfast was very good as well.

Sound isolation between rooms wasn't the best. People at ou adjoining room were paying the TV a bit too loud and we could clearly hear it. Also you hear doors opening and closing. But none of them were bad enough to disturb our sleep or anything.

The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a very large and brightly-lit bathroom. The breakfast offered was really good, with many options to choose from - all of really good quality. The hotel is well located, within walking distance from the city centre. The staff were very welcoming and kind. 100% would recommend staying here.

The ceiling in our room was a bit low for my partner, who is 1.90m tall, so he had to keep in mind at all times not to knock his head on doors and slanted walls. But this is a very particular issue, only for the room we stayed in and involving very tall people! :)

Wonderfully located hotel to the shops and restaurants of Inverness. Not in a busy, loud area but just a short walk from the hustle and bustle. We stayed here the night before an early morning flight and the receptionist took care of our bill at check-in and gave great instructions for an easy departure. I loved that they provided parking. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

The walls were a bit thin so we were able to hear the television in the room next to ours but the noise did not go late into the evening so it was not really much of a problem. I do wish they had a mini fridge.

Our premier king room was exceptional, worthy of a 5* hotel. Very spacious, so comfortable bed and a shower/bath room in first class condition. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food in the evening and at breakfast was very good. Well cooked and well presented. Particularly good breakfast menu selection of different dishes to choose. Free secure car park in a quiet area. Bar area and restaurant also very attractive.

Nothing not to like. We had a very good night.

Beautiful clean room. Breakfast was delicious, could order off the little menu sheet. Free parking on the premises. Modern bathrooms, very clean and products provided.

Very firm pillows and bed which gave me a bit of a backache, but I’m sure it’s just preference and would work better for some people. Was under the impression from the description that a buffet breakfast supplements the baked breakfast, however we only get the menu option (which was still pretty good) and there were no scrambled egg croissant mentioned in the description. That said, the breakfast was really good and filling.

All the staff at the Heathmount were so lovely, welcoming and attentive. We stayed in room 3, it was absolutely gorgeous, perfectly clean, bed was unbelievably comfortable and huge! The room had everything you could want and was decorated beautifully. The food was amazing, lovely breakfast, dinner menu had plenty of choices and the drinks were fabulous. The hotel is in such a great location, 10minute walk to town centre and a great base for exploring the surrounding area. We would definitely stay again.

Everything was perfect

Good location . Pleasant decoration . Friendly and helpful staff .clean and tidy . Good breakfast options. Shower was great as was the bedroom .Room in attic was very quiet ( may be due to time of year)

I was worried after reading reviews about the top floor rooms that they would be too claustrophobic as I have claustrophobia. Whilst I think if you are over 5'8 the ceiling would be a bit low on the top floors the room was not claustrophobic due to the lovely decor and lighting and it was actually a very snug and cosy space which I wasn't expecting at all . The shower was also great.

Our room was extremely comfortable and was a good size. We appreciated having a decent sized bathroom and shower as well. Location was good, just outside of downtown so away from all of the loud bars and restaurants at night, but still walkable to that area (about 10 minutes walking time). The attached restaurant and bar were also both great additions to our stay. Also, appreciated that parking was included and we didn't have trouble finding a spot for our car.

The only complaint we would have is that by staying on the second floor just above the restaurant and bar, we were able to hear the music playing from below on the weekend nights which did make it more difficult to fall asleep. We did have a fan inside the room that we used and closed windows to help, but we still had some leftover noise coming through. Would recommend trying to get a room higher up!

Great Breakfast, the room had good facilities, and everything you needed for a break away. Parking was great and was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. Staff are lovely and very attentive!

The room that we had booked was in the alcoves of the hotel - although the room was lovely. My just over 6ft husband wasn't able to stand straight without knocking his heads through the doors! This wasn't a huge problem and didn't put us off the hotel - but any taller, it could be a problem.
