Absolutely amazing stay! i stayed all week on a business trip as i was visiting a few of our sites around Scotland, the young lad that checked me in (Chris?) couldn't of been any more helpful if he tried, David was extremely kind and caring. i had a meeting to attend midweek and asked if i would be able to do it in the bar area, to which they said they would let me use the private bar at the other side! i am honestly really happy with the stay, rooms cleaned daily (lovely cleaner really polite etc) and the whole place was just spotless, the interior was beautiful! i would 10000% recommend staying here and will be back when i am next in the area! thanks guys

Literally nothing, as above it was an amazing experience

Location was great as dropping my partner of on the Sunday morning at Milngavie to start the West Highland Way Walk. so only 10 minutes away. Didn't have breakfast, but did have a meal and drinks on Saturday night in the restaurant and it was lovely and the staff were lovely and very helpful too. Very clean and lovely done out rooms and also the reception area, bar/restaurant/cocktail bar. Seating outside, great on a nice evening to sit out and a good size carpark too.

Nothing, everything was great :)

Lovely decor, with friendly, efficient staff. A special shout out to the tall, young man who was on the desk, very pleasant, competent and well presented member of staff. One of the public rooms was in the process of being turned into an afternoon tea and piano room, peeked in and it looked very nice. Something for the future visits. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable.

Unfortunately a group of men using the bar(only area available to get a drink) around 10.00 pm were loud and using language that shouldn’t be heard in mixed company. Im surprised that management allow their staff to endure it if it a regular occurrence. I’m old enough and wise enough not to confront six men who have been drinking. (Hopefully to excess and it’s not their normal standard of language) Would of appreciated cereal, yogurt or fruit to start the breakfast.

My daughter and I stayed here two nights before beginning our hike on the West Highland Way. It was so nice to be greeted with friendly, helpful staff and get a bite to eat at the restaurant and bar downstairs. Lovely breakfast in the morning as well traditional Scottish breakfast! Our walk to town was really sweet as we passed some beautiful countryside. I would definitely stay here again. I only wish I had more pictures for you. Slainte!!!

Nice clean rooms. The staff (owner were very friendly) and took the time to chat to you, give you pointers on the local area etc.

Not much, bit of a hiccup on the room booking but thats down to Booking.com and not the Hotel. When you book via Booking.com, the hotel get limited details of what you have booked so its not their fault if the room you booked isn’t exactly what you thought it would be. In our case the rectified this by giving us an extra room free of charge.

Location was perfect on the John Muir Way. Staff were superb, friendly, helpful. Food was excellent

I was in room 27 and the noise from the bar was pretty loud. The music in my room was actually louder than it sounded in the bar and also people noise very loud. Accept it is a Inn and likely to get noise overflow but maybe chuck some disposable earplugs in the room for those early-to-bed types

Breakfast was exceptional - we had the full Scottish and it was very tasty indeed. The waiting staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The location suited us fine as it was a stop over on our way back home.

The cold tap on the bath did not work so the water ended up being scolding hot. We just used the shower instead but it does need rectifying really.

Room and bed excellent, food in the evening was excellent

Couldn't get near the bar to order drinks due to the locals standing next to the bar. Breakfast was a slow affair, while others had a coffee, and I had to wait until breakfast was served before having to ask again for coffee. Toast was just served, but there was no option given. No refill offered for another coffee

Breakfast was good - full Scottish or smaller options. The location is a few miles out of Milngavie, but good road, no problem. There is not much good accommodation in Milngavie, and Kirkhouse Inn is a a high standard alternative, Big car park, free for guests.

We were on the first floor, no lift, but fine once we got the bags up!
