Location was safe. Some hostels have a drop off service to city centre, this is a big ask but would be beneficial in peak season.

Breakfast was available as an extra, too much sugar in the cereals, it would have been good to get some plain yoghurt rather than laden varieties. Too much white bread. There were some good fruit options. Some plain oats would have been nice.

Room 212 was the best and I wish to make it my second home away from home. It is really spacious unlike room 317 where I slept the first time. There is more room to move around and breathe. It can even accommodate chairs, the bunk beds are apart. This was really beautiful. I loved it.

Nothing the hostel is the best. I was lazy and had heavy luggage the first time I stayed there. My room 317 was 3 floors up and it was tiring. I came back with the same luggage or more and slept in room 212 and I was at peace. They have a luggage room to keep luggage that's not so high, but I wanted to keep my things with me just in case I need something.

The cleanliness of the environment, the kindness of the staff members. And I like the fact that there is a kitchen with a fridge, microwave etc. for self-catering. It felt like home. Ooh, let me not forget your coffee at the reception. Original. Thank you

The stairs, ooh I wish not to be booked at the level of room 317 especially when I have a lot of luggage like the time I booked there. Otherwise without luggage, then no problem with the statirs

I really enjoyed my stay here, the place is old but very well maintained. The bed is comfortable and the toilet is functional as well. I like the living room, it’s spacious and drinking coffee sitting in one of the couches overlooking the large window would be really nice. The staff were really nice as well and you can store your luggage if you arrive early and or if you’re still going to explore the city after you’ve checked out.

It would be nice if there’s a garbage bin inside the toilets, hooks for clothes and place to store your toiletries inside the shower room. The place is a bit confusing as well with a lot of stairs, so if you have a large luggage it would be very hard for you. It would have been great if the bath towel is free as well.

I have probably been in 50 hostels around the world and this is the best I have ever seen. It has 3 floors and all the amenities you can imagine: laundry service (not free unfortunately), big kitchen, big dining room, piano, two guitars (It would be better if you add the missing strings on them), ping pong table, pool table, zones to work, etc. One of the most beautiful attractions in Glasgow was this hostel for me. I regret not having been here more days.

They have only an extension of only 4 sockets to share between all the roommates.

First on arrival although I asked for lower bunk bed, wasn't reserved. It didn't show thete was no lift, and was on top floor. It was vwry inconvenient as I have some mobility issues. It must clearly show on website there's no lift and there's steps to the entrance too. If mobility is your issue may not be recommend. So I asked reception then they found empty room about bed of six, to myself although it was supposed to be full. The new room had beautiful parj view, fairly clean and modern. Basement kitchen fully equiped. TV room and lounge have beautiful interior and park view. Architecture like staircase has ornate wood curvings, skylight. Next to the Parj, lovely location. Staff are friendly.

No lift at all, even steps to the entrance so if mobility is your issue you may avoid it. Basement kitchen accessible only by stairs. There's an empty room of six, staff didn't know is available until I asked and had to move with lots of stairs. Location is beautiful but little away from City centre, usually everywhere is walking distance. But personal choice.

Stunning but musty old rabbit warren hotel with huge common facilities. Overlook Hotel alike ( The Shining - here's Johnny!). My new favourite place in Glasgow. Don't expect luxury. Do expect quirky value for money. Just lovely if you appreciate good value, friendly staff and great location. Not so good for peeps who want modern soulessness. Water in rooms not potable ( ancient pipes?) Beds a bit small but fine. Very quiet when we stayed. Located amidst million pound properties. Terrific place.

Minor inconveniences like no drinking tap water in rooms and short ( I'm tall) narrowish beds. Tired old place but very clean.

There are several facilities to use. The games room, sitting room and ping pong room were a lot of fun. On a particularly rainy day in Glasgow these come in handy if it is a long stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and changed the room to suit my work needs.

-The beds were on the small side and one of them had a lobsided mattress which caused a backache. -One of the dryers in the laundry room needs to change as it does not work.

Honestly couldn't ask for more for the price, absolutely wonderful place with brilliant staff in a brilliant location - very close to the city centre. I can only speak for the private rooms, but my room was very clean and the beds were fine.

Unfortunately the latest check out time is 10am which is quite early and you have to strip all of the bedding and bring it down to reception. Also, our sink had a faulty plug which jammed shut on the first go - although we mentioned this to the staff when we were leaving and they assured us it'd be fixed asap. Finally, there were only 2 standard plugs in the room and 2 USB ports, this was in a room for 6 people.

The room was clean and well-furnished. The facilities available in the hostel were extensive, with a hidden TV room, lounge and comfortable kitchen. After arriving in Glasgow later than planned, Joel in reception was very welcoming at reception, easy to chat to and great at giving advice on good places for dinner and sightseeing on a cold December evening. Leah was very helpful in giving me a good recommendation for breakfast when I was checking out.

Nothing of note, but one night is not enough to enjoy what is a beautiful place to stay in the wonderful West End. When I come back to Glasgow, I know where to come to!
