Sandyford Hotel

I think the Sandyford is a little bit Marmite, you either love it or you don't. For us, it's perfect. Great location, staff are friendly and always happy to help, good breakfast and while the rooms aren't up to Hilton or Savoy standards, they're comfortable and clean. What more do you want? Ok, there is no elevator, but let's face it, if you travel with so much luggage that you can't deal with a few flights of stairs then maybe you're better off in one of the characterless, sterile bed farms, with hot and cold running staff that give you a snotty look if you tip anything less than a tenner for humping a bag up a few stairs... In summary, a good five night stay while visiting family in Glasgow at a decent price.

No fruit pudding at breakfast. Ok, I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel to find something to complain about!

Very good selection for breakfast. Fast, courteous sevice. Asked and received a quiet room with minimal stairs. Helpful, friendly staff. Great location to eateries and bars. Hop on/off bus right outside the door.

The bathroom was functional but could use updating. That said, it was good value.

Clean room all the things we needed. TV, Towels, Coffee, Tea facilitys, Hot strong shower. Location perfect for visiting OVO Breakfast was fast and efficent, staff friendly. Parking was near by and not to expensive. Nice area to walk around plenty of food and drink facilty's within a very short walk. Easy walking distance of the OVO Hydro, SEC and the Kelvin Grove Museum, We had a great walk in the lovley big recreational park only a street behind. The park has a very tasty Greek takeway in the middle if you fancy a GRYOS City centre shopping was walkable in 20mins.

Pillows a little bit flat and lumpy. Little bit of street noise cars etc, it is a city so expected.

It is near Scottish Event Center, near is passing public transportation line which connect hotel, airport and city center. Employed was very nice and cooperative. The hotel is modest, but inexpensive, grest relation value for money. The guy from the reception helped me about changing paper money to plastic (regular).

No elevator. Shower in the bathroom is from the above, so shower cap is necessary if you don't want to make hair wet.

Room quieter than I expected given the location. Breakfast selection good but beware of over-facing yourself with the full cooked! Nearer to Exhibition Centre Station than I expected. Near all the places I wanted to go.

Some might complain about lack of a bar of evening meals - but it is not that sort of hotel. There plenty of good eating places and a few bars nearby, especially on Argyll Street.

The guy at the reception was so helpful!

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for walks through the park and a great pub on the next corner. Bus stop beside the hotel. Quiet room was good and the beds comfy. Excellent breakfast.

Decorators were in, which should be a plus come to think of it. Looks like a fairly comprehensive refurbishment is under way.

The room was comfortable and clean, with plenty of lighting; the breakfast was really delicious and had lots of variety and the staff at the breakfast lounge was also lovely.

The room had a weird door to the attic that I wish was boarded up or fully closed off.

This hotel was clean and comfortable if a little rough around the edges but you get what you pay for and it was what we expected. Bedroom was spacious and had what we needed for a two night stay. Best thing was the breakfast room, it didn’t have that awful silence that some have. The staff were helpful, friendly and had time for everyone, this went for all the other staff we encountered. Hotel is in a good spot for Kelvingrove Museum but buses are available near hotel which will take you into the center.
