Stayed one night for our 10th wedding anniversary. Our room was beautiful. Split level with a large shower room on the mezzanine along with a free standing bath overlooking the bedroom below. The initial wow factor was heightened when we saw the hotel management had left us a complimentary bottle of champagne to help us celebrate our anniversary. The room was spacious very clean and comfortable and had a great selection of tea coffee and hot chocolate with the kettle and there was a coffee maker also Breakfast was terrific with lots of quality help yourselves cereal fresh fruit and pastries and the hot food options we chose were lovely. All the staff were really friendly and the facilities were top notch. Can't wait to stay again in the future.
Having to pay £10 for the overnight car parking was a bit disappointing but otherwise everything was superb.

Absolutely beautiful! The room was stunning, a fabulous blend of industrial chic and great luxury. Loved the deep bath in the room—but the room was so large it was in a separate area so you didn’t feel it was in your bedroom (also had a great shower and properly private toilet unlike some similar hotels I could mention)! It’s well located just next to Ouseburn area with some charming restaurants and bars. Staff were welcoming and professional, we felt extremely well looked after. The breakfast was excellent with a great offer of a range of food to suit all tastes. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Newcastle
Nothing—everything was great.

This is a beautiful little hotel. It’s a repurposed old industrial building and has been imaginatively converted to make a really original boutique hotel. The location is perfect for a city stay—central but quiet. Our room was amazingly fitted out (junior suite), with an incredible view as well and felt really luxurious. L’Occitan toiletries added to the sense of being pampered! Staff were lovely and incredibly helpful and courteous without being pushy. We had breakfast and it was excellent! The bar was a lovely place to sit and it had outside space which would have been great if we’d had time, with a huge open fire and comfy seats.
Absolutely nothing—one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. We’ve used Hotel du Vin before but this is streets ahead of the others.

The location was near the quayside and made walking into the city centre very pleasant, along the river. The architecture & bridges are beautiful. We stayed in a deluxe room which was spacious with great amenities, huge shower, slipper bath looking out of the window (although we would have preferred a roll top bath) with a lovely view of the millennium & Tyne bridges. The super king size bed was so comfortable and the pillows were so soft. Breakfast was lovely and the breakfast staff were really welcoming & helpful. Parking was right outside the hotel.
Tbh, I can’t think of anything we didn’t like

A charming setting in a wonderful old building. This hotel is something special and our stay was excellent. Our room was an superior double room mezzanine, split over 2 levels. The room was beautiful with extras such as a coffee machine. Breakfast choice was exceptional with cold buffet and hot food to order. Location wise it’s about a 20 min walk to the train station and city centre but we didn’t mind this as it gave us a chance to walk by the outdoor quay market at the waterfront which is there in a Sunday. A fabulous stay, we will return.

Hotel, great location for the quayside. Friendly helpful staff. Hotel clean decoration to a high standard rooms warm and welcoming. Breakfast excellent. We would definitely stay again.
We booked an evening meal in the bistro at the time of booking we were not made aware that the menu was a set menu for NYE. My meal was very disappointing, unfortunately I had to return starter because it was burnt, the staff were very apoplectic and provided me swiftly with a replacement. I chose the fish goujons for my main again these were overcooked and inedible, I returned this also but did not ask for a replacement opting for a refund instead. The waiting staff were brilliant and again very apoplectic.

The entrance into the hotel through the courtyard and reception is very impressive, warm and welcoming with the log burner, comfy leather sofa's and a christmas tree. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking was easy at the front of hotel at £10 per night however. The room was very spacious, a bit dark even with all the lights on. The room was at the front of hotel so looking onto main road which was busy all night so needed to buy some earplugs to get a good night sleep the following night. If we stayed again would ask for room at the back of hotel. Breakfast was delicious, plenty hot and cold options. The young man waiting on at breakfast on the saturday morning was a breathe of fresh air and a credit to the company He was polite, cheerful and chatty whilst still being efficient. When we returned that evening he was still smiling and polite at the end of his 12hr shift Sorry i didn't get his name but keep up the good work and banter 👍🏼
Only negative was the noise of the traffic and the pillows were far too soft but that's a personal preference.

On our arrival we were greeted by friendly and knowledgable staff who couldn't have been more helpful, the room was perfectly adequate with good facilities. Both the bar area and bistro were excellent providing good food and service and the breakfast was so much better than normal hotel fare.
The location isn't ideal as, although convenient for the quayside, the twenty minute walk into town might mean a taxi if the weather is inclement. I also really don't like being chivied along whilst completing a review.

Amazing food. Friendly staff. Easy to park. Location great by the river and 15 mins walk to city. Beautiful decor. Clever development of the building for the hotel. Quirky design. Loved the freestanding Bath on upstairs - 2nd floor of room. Worked for me.
Room was a bit dark / no view . Difficult to open windows. I don’t have access issues but if I did, 2 floors up stairs to room and a bathroom on split level (up stairs) would be an issue. Not checked beforehand.

Using being massive hotel jumpers from newcastle I can honestly say this is probably the nicest hotel in Newcastle. Its like they've built the whole building to wow the customer. First time we stayed in the suit with Spiral stairs in the room leading to a a suspended floor with 2 baths. Huge comfy bed, walk in couples monsoon shower, great view,, I HIGHLY recommend it! This time we stayed in a junior suite and the room was nice. Verry large, bath in the room and single monsoon shower. Really clean and again all thses finer details that they just don't have to do... but they do! Like I can stress enough how much they've went above and beyond on the finer details. You just have to go and experience it to know what I mean. Most rooms (or atleast the suites) are all named instead of numbered and different and we are more than likely going to come back for a night or few to experience the rooms and get a break from the kids.. this leads us to the bad I guess
The only fault this time was. Our room was facing the road and since we were there to get a beak from the kids we spend a bit of time in the room and it was noisey. This time we were on a lower floor so the cars going past were rattling through the room. There was also either a external air con, boiler or something near our room and it was Loud also. Constant load buzzing/hum while trying to get to sleep but like I said in the positives this wouldn't discourage us booking again, we will deffo he back! but would ask for a room away from the road. And it wasn't that bad tbf, I think it's a us thing cos we went for quietness away from the little ones haha
