Good location. Clean. Nice view from room.Food available from bar and from room out of hours. Good range of drinks. Also snacks eg chocolate/crisps available. Plus extras such as toothpaste/brushes if you've forgotten them. We paid for breakfast as part of our price. Good mixture of choices from a cooked breakfast and or continental choice. Hotel was near the Gate head millennium bridge along the river, very picturesque.

Hotel payment were strictly card payments. Might be a disadvantage depending on your opinion. Although good location, you had to walk across the millennium bridge to get to hotel, or town centre. Newcastle very hilly.

A very cleaned room. It was very spacious and had everything what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. I consider this as a 5 star hotel. Staff was very friendly and location is great. It's hardly 2-3 mins walk from the millennium bridge and the town center. Shops, restaurants, site seeings all are walking distance from the hotel. I really liked the location of the hotel, staff, cleaning and private parking.

I think, staff should definitely ask customers before they ask cleaners to go in the rooms for cleaning. I felt quite bad when I returned back from outside that my room was all cleaned but without my consent or knowledge. I left all my cash, passport and important documents on table which thankfully was still there but I guess, receptionist should have let me know or ask my consent before allowing cleaners to go in when I'm not aware or in my room. Secondly, when I returned from a site seeing, my room card didn't work and for some reason, it was blocked by the staff. When I went to receptionist, he didn't apologize neither explained why my card was blocked and just told me, it's sorted. I think, these two things were a bit put off to be honest. Rest, everything was top top top! :)

The location was great for us good outside seating with a lovely view the staff were great welcoming friendly always smiling. The room had fantastic views and comfortable bed , the car park outside was good and felt the car was safe.

The only things I would say air conditioning was not working properly sadly told reception and they did nothing and the room smelt a bit damp . I also didn’t like the way people hung about in the outside seating area made a mess then moved on If I can be really critical and know it was not really the hotels fault but Bering awoken with the police sirens then the police and events that occurred very scary

Location, reception, Exceptionally testy food and Lisa - restaurant manager also night porter. Very comfy beds. Walking distance to town, best views from around the hotel. Very happy with location.

Booked room with river view(according to website), got back court view on the rear without any view. When intervened this was changed to front so could see bit of the river. Turned out river view were only VIPs! Molded bath tube and around the toilet, pealing bottom of the bathroom door and bathtub, around mirror, bits torn of the curtain, floor not properly hoovered and cleaned in the corners. From 4* hotel expected cleanliness top class. Cleanless would rate for 1 * hotel not 4. Bit disappointed with this. Room key didn't work frequently, buttons to the lifts also.

The view and the bed was comfortable to sleep on. The staff were friendly and helpful. Was only a 5 min walk to quayside and a further 10 into gateshead, taxis were only about £12-15 each way for the evening time. Never ate breakfast at the hotel but the food at lunch time was lovely!

The only thing that stopped me putting 10/10 was the bottom sheet, it was dirty but I had already slept one night before noticing, I asked for room to be cleaned using the card on the door and I left the cover back so it was visible but when I returned the room had been cleaned very well but the bottom sheet wasn't changed. To be honest I never mentioned this until. Checked out as it was so late by the time we got back in.

From walking into the hotel the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff just hit you immediately, I knew immediately that our overnight stay was going to be perfect .we went for nephews wedding which was at the Baltic next door therefore the hotel location was perfect only a 5 minute walk away so at the end of the long day a 5 minute walk hotel lift and in no time resting in a clean warm comfortable bed and then next morning tasty and excellent breakfast

Everything was perfect nothing at all to complain about the cleanliness the friendliness of the staff the breakfast was excellent and not to forget excellent value would definitely stay again and also tell my friends

Great location just a 10-15min walk over the bridge to Newcastle. Hotel very clean and well kept and the room was very tidy and comfortable. The bed was brilliant and we both slept great. Onsite bar and restaurant was also handy too and the staff were all very pleasant and professional.

The window in our room would not shut fully after multiple attempts so we got some noise from outside but this wasn't a major thing for us. The hotel car park is rather small and was full when we arrived so we had to therefore park a 5min walk away up a rather steep hill. This also didn't bother us too much but I can understand why certain customers may struggle with this.

Comfortable bed, clean room and tea and coffee facilities. Location was good and our room had a great view overlooking the river and Millennium Bridge and next to the Baltic Centre. With the superior package we had bottled water and Costa Coffee vouchers from the bar and 10% off food and beverages. Overall a comfortable stay and excellent value for money.

We could hear some noise and banging of doors from other guests a couple of doors down but fortunately this stopped earlyish and did not wake us up, but could have been a problem if it had continued.

We had booked a twin room with river view but this was no longer available when we arrived, so the very helpful receptionist set about arranging for up to be upgraded to an executive room (at no extra cost) to ensure we got the river view that we had been promised. This meant we had to share a super king bed rather than the twin beds we had booked but that was ok. The staff at the reception desk, both for checking in and checking out, were very friendly and helpful. Thank you! 😊

See above. There was really nothing to dislike: the room we ended up in was not quite what we booked but the consideration we were given and free upgrade made up for any problem.

The hotel was lovely and clean. Staff were very helpful and polite. The view was stunning and the one of the best I've had in a hotel room in this country. Comfy beds and had everything needed.

The parking is a bit of a nightmare. We were told there were no spaces, so we were given a map to the nearest carpark, which was fine. However, when we walked back to the hotel and checked in, we heard another member of staff say to another couple that there were plenty of spaces available. So a tad inconsistent communication between staff in the 10 minutes it took us to park elsewhere.
