Drummond Hotel

Breakfast was excellent - able to order what you wanted and it was cooked to order. The meal on the previous evening also was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of free parking at the hotel.

Only a minor niggle, but the shower was quite a challenge. There was a fine line between scalding hot and freezing cold. It took a bit of time to get it set at the very fine line of being comfortable, but it was doable ... eventually :)

Very warmly caring hosts: we arrived by bicycle with repair needs and it rained outside: the staff immediately cleared a room for us to fix the bike, for our walk to dinner in town the lady of the house even gave us her private umbrella from her car.

Nothing serious to mention here. The place is not a Grand Hotel and facilities could also use a renovation- but we found everything as described and had a good night rest at a place with dedicated and friendly personnel.

A very warm welcome on arrival was just lovely! I was very early arriving, well before check in time so I had some lunch and when I was passing Reception, I was offered a room. I was very grateful for this gesture as my husband was having surgery in a near by hospital and I was quite anxious. My room was warm, quiet, very clean and very comfortable. Lunch, dinner and breakfast were all delicious and all the staff I came into contact with were very friendly.

The breakfast was excellent as was the service, kindness and courtesy shown from all staff from our arrival until departure. We were made to feel comfortable in this family run hotel. Our thanks to the proprietor and lovely staff.

I liked everything. BUT as everyone knows everything can be improved. My only observation would be possibly a new "Square mat" at front entrance doors and a super power hose of frontal entrance areas inclusive of steps. First impression stuff. Otherwise all's well. I must say that is only a secondary observation. My primary objectives were all happily achieved at a very acceptable cost.

The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful, we left for one night and they stored our luggage for our return, they also accommodated special lunch plans for us in their library during their busy carvery time. The building had an old time, classic charm and our rooms were modern and comfortable. Perfect venue for our little holiday in Derry. Will definitely visit again.

The staff are very friendly, the young men working there were opening doors for us and very well mannered. The young girl who checked us in was so polite and friendly, the young girl behind the bar who served us, always smiling, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really nice and the lady who served us was also very friendly and polite. The hotel is very old and beautiful, a beautiful sitting area and fire lit as you walk in to the reception.

Helpful and friendly staff. We were travelling by cycle. I contacted the hotel prior to travelling and secure overnight storage for our cycles was arranged. Rooms were spotless. Had an evening meal in the bar which was of good quality and value. Breakfast choice was excellent. We were spoilt for choice even though we did not have the cooked breakfast.

Only negative I can give is the traffic noise from the busy A2. I accept that this is beyond the hotels control. It did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

A very gracious building with quality rooms and a bathtub in the bathroom. Such a bonus when on holiday Easy parking and very helpful staff. A great breakfast. We had stayed at an airbnb in Skye the night before for 5 times the price of Drummond Hotel and everything about the Drummond was so much better.

They didn't have proper martini glasses in the bar.

Photos didn't do this justice, far nicer than we expected... Decor is exquisite & our room was very spacious & spotlessly clean... Food & bar was perfect too... Would definitely stay again!!

The only negative feedback we could give if really looking was to improve the quality of the loo roll.... Could do with something a little less basic

The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. We arrived before check in and were accommodated ASAP. The housekeeping staff were friendly and very efficient, the bar staff were very friendly particularly Joy who went over and beyond by personally making sandwiches for my husband on his late discharge from hospital. Breakfast was excellent served to us by a very friendly waiter.

The hotel is clean and comfortable but a little tired.
