The Belmont pub hotel is in a nice area, just south of Manchester. Small/medium car park. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Had a nice bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Normally we'd prefer a walk in shower but we actually loved soaking in the bath having just been walking all day in the Peak District. Decided to eat in as the restaurant was nicer than we'd expected, food was decent and it meant we could just walk up to bed. Had a great full english breakfast the next morning. It was only 20 min drive into Manchester in the morning to collect someone before heading up to Yorkshire for an event. Nicer to stay here than having to pay double in Manchester and extra to park in a multistorey somewhere.

The bedroom window didn't open much and it was quite a hot day.

Booked this hotel as an alternative to a Manchester Airport hotel, however still very close but with many added bonuses - free parking, breakfast included and free wifi. The hotel is set in a lovely suburb of Sale and has a fantastic beer garden which we were lucky enough to experience as the sun was shining. The meal at night was first class, very tasty and plentiful - as was breakfast the following day, very fresh and the Eggs Royale were delicious. The room was very comfortable and had all amenities you would expect from a top hotel - fridge, iron, hairdryer, coffee/tea facilities and Walker Biscuits (which are made in the town just next to us in Scotland so that was a nice surprise), fan, super comfy beds and pillows. Staff were very friendly and overall, made the start to our summer holiday journey an absolute bonus!

Given we had passports, documents and other valuable stuff for our travels abroad, it would have been good to have a small safe in the room just for peace of mind, although I did not for a minute feel that there would have been any issues as you needed to use your key card to get in to the hotel part of the building as well as your room.

Stayed overnight as was taking my mum for Coronation Street tour on the Sunday morning as part of her 80th birthday treat. Arrived on Saturday ant 3pm and sat out front in the beer garden till 8pm, had a lovely day. Spacious room with oodles of storage, comfy beds, great tea, coffee, water and biscuits. Fan was very welcome as was quite warm, no trouble sleeping. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Perfect location for coronation street only took us about 15 mins to get there, even managed a walk round the imperial war museum too which is well worth a visit (and free)

If booking with older relatives request a first floor room as there are quite a few steps both up and down to the second floor rooms.

Greeted by manager Dave and his friendly staff who were in the midst of a busy lunch service. They found us a nice table out on the terrace and we enjoyed a really lovely lunch. Fast service and the food was excellent. The J.W. Lees Bitter also a highlight, for me. Only a short (5-10 minute?) walk to the Brooklands tram stop for regular services into Manchester City Centre. Room was perfect for us and the bed comfortable. Bathroom also spotlessly clean. Everything we could have asked for. We will definitely come back to The Belmore next time we visit Manchester!

The only reason it's not a 10 is because the Tesla Destination Charger (7kW) wouldn't charge my car (BMW iX3). I had planned to charge my car overnight at The Belmore so I didn't have to take it to a fast charger for an hour or so the following day before driving home to Hampshire. It's only a minor thing, and certainly didn't have a negative impact on our stay. Dave did try his best to get the charger to work. Not The Belmore's fault; more the Tesla Destination Charger network's incompatibility with the rest of the world. It's fantastic that J.W. Lees are installing EV chargers in all their pubs and hotels but, please, install proper ones that the rest of us can use!

It's Decor, has the 'wow' factor even as you pull in! Great gardens, relaxed atmosphere, very knowledgeable and super engaging and friendly staff. Quick check in, safe and secure payment and direct and easy instructions from staff. Room was stunning, clean and very spacious. We were in the Frederich suite and it slept 5! With lovely decor touches like lamps for soft lighting, headboards, clean soft carpets and thick black out curtains, even 2 fans for the warmer weather! There was excellent coffee and tea complimentary in the room with classy bottled water and premium biscuits, great after a long drive! Two tvs, uber comfortable sofa and the mirrors in the bathroom OMG! Beds were like a dream I slept wonderfully and felt luxurious and very high end bedding and pillows, luxury wash samples available and very nice loo roll (essential). Breakfast was exceptional, both continental and cooked breakfast to indulge in, all fresh and superior quality! Individual coffee decanters, and excellent coffee (needed) every touch was luxury, quirky and served with both sincerity and a smile! Nothing was too much.....the ingredients in the cooked were top quality and locally sourced, we waited 5 minutes for our cooked breakfast and it was hot, perfectly cooked poached eggs and 2 yes 2 tomatoes and a huge flat mushroom! The portion was perfect no waste whatsoever and not too stuffed either! Well played Belmore at Sale....well played!

Nadda' zero, none it was flawless!

Location perfect. The option of later check out time. Fan's being provided in the room a plus, as I get very warm, open windows are not enough for me at the temperature it was that night. A lot of the original features appear to be left in, which is so nice, so many places have no character, either because they are newr buildings or they have been ripped out in a refurb.

Would prefer a separate reception instead of the bar and going through restaurant to the rooms. Shower door when opened after use trailed water along the floor. Not sure what could be done about that, a bit of a pain trying to mop/wipe up with only guest towel instead of cleaning type cloth. No telephone in room to contact reception staff for house keeping in this instance. Could also be a slip hazard if the wet floor isn't noticed.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were brilliant from checking in to checking out. We were greeted and shown to our room which was lovely, clean and comfortable. It had a marvellous huge bathroom with a shower and bath. We ate in the restaurant which was decorated beautifully and the food was delicious both evening meal and breakfast. The close proximity to the airport. The staff were friendly and polite. I felt really happy and comfortable at this hotel. We will most definitely be staying here again. Thankyou.

The Belmore exceeded our expectations. Firstly the location was excellent. 5 minute walk to the metro, where you can go anywhere in Manchester. Free parking which was a huge reason for booking The Belmore. (Not many other hotels in and around Manchester have this, parking is very expensive in the city) We had one of their suites named Brooklands. The room was very spacious. One room with 2 newly purchased single beds. Then a main room with a double bed. With a dressing table and mirror, so easy to do make-up and hair. Both were really comfortable with plenty of pillows, and lovely soft bedding. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Plenty of room for us and our 17 year old son. The bathroom was big, with huge bath and seperate shower cubicle. Rooms were lovely and warm. The styling of the hotel was lovely. Very homely and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Knowledgeable about the area. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend to everyone and have raved about it to our friends. When we go back to Manchester this will be our go to hotel. 5* from us!

Only one little niggle...we had to hold the shower head as the holder directed the water upwards. Wasn't too much of an issue though.

Beautiful place. Well decorated and the rooms were lovely and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Such a lovely hotel with a great garden area and bar. Missed breakfast so can't comment on food

All the staff were friendly bar the woman that checked us in. She was a bit miserable like she couldn't be bothered. I don't expect over the top or people being dramatic but she never cracked a smile once and always walked around with a face on. The window for breakfast was very short too. 08.00-09.30

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very tastefully decorated, we stayed in the superior room, which was very spacious and was at the back of the hotel so was very quiet. The mattress was so comfortable, we got a great nights sleep. We also had a twin room and a double room for our teenagers, their rooms were of the same standard as ours, the double had the best size bathroom. Very convenient for the centre of Manchester, would recommend.

When we turned up there was only disabled parking left, which was a bit of a nightmare but we parked in a disabled bay and let the hotel know and they were fine with that, but they could do with a section of the car park purely for guests. The bathroom in the superior room could of done with being bigger to match the bedroom but that's me being fussy!! and the grout could of done with being touched up as it was starting to look a bit grubby.
