Hilton Garden Inn Manchester Emirates Old Trafford

Our stay at old trafford was good until we were transferred to the Hilton in inner Manchester.

We were transferred for our last night because of a water problem. The room we were transferred to was not up to the same standard being a family room and thus crowded with three beds. There was no restaurant on site which meant a ten minute walk to the shopping areas. We couldn't find a decent restaurant and had no help with this. At 78 years of age the walk uphill back to the hotel was exhausting. The end of our holiday was spoilt and i would not recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was lovely and light, airy and comfortable. There was plenty of room, and we had a great view! The bathroom was spacious, and the shower was lovely. The restaurant was excellent - breakfast was outstanding, and our evening meals were also excellent. Kayley our waitress was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of tips for what to see, where to go, and how to get around Manchester. Excellent location in relation to Old Trafford football ground and the Tram system.

Maybe some biscuits with the tea and coffee would be a nice touch. The bed was a bit hard and the sofa bed was squeaky whenever my daughter rolled over!

Decent size rooms, lovely shower rooms, very clean, hotel smells good throughout. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast - which had a variety. Despite the glitch with my Father's room, I would use the hotel again

We booked three rooms. One of the rooms, the cooler/fridge, didn't work as well as the kettle. We were then provided with a new kettle. However, due to a non-working fridge, we had to use my room to keep my father's chronic medication. The front desk offered us to keep his medication in the main kitchen fridge by the restaurant, which is not ideal, my Father would need his medication very close to him

Enjoyed a relaxing 2 night stay at the property. Good car parking opposite, nice clean room with views over the cricket pitch, we were treated to watching a match on a second night and although we aren’t cricket fans it was great to see and enjoy the atmosphere. All staff were friendly and attentive. We are at the hotel both nights and the food was excellent as was breakfast, well cooked and hot. Would absolutely stay here again if visiting Manchester

Nothing to dislike, on a design front bathroom little cramped and lighting not bright enough to apply make up or shave with. Lovely shower though

Big comfy room overlooking the cricket pitch as requested. Very close to old trafford stadium for midweek game. Staff friendly and helpful. Location very close to tram line so very easy to get around. Staff helped us book a taxi for getting to the airport at 5am. This was a massive help. The driver was friendly and clearly works with the hotel often. Rates were better than expected so very pleased and would stay here again.

Breakfast not being included is a little bit of a sore spot for me but it didnt really matter as we were so close to many places and the main line into the city.

This hotel is of a very high standard, try and book it out of season for the football and cricket as the rates are much more affordable and represent really good value for money! Try and book and room with views over the pitch as those rooms are lovely with a balcony. Room of an excellent standard with excellent facilities, comfortable beds, and the bathrooms are top spec. The Bar area looks very good, and the breakfast, whilst not cheap, is absolutely excellent with so much choice. Good free parking outside too. Highly recommended.

so welcoming, extremely helpful with my son and his wheelchair. They got us a bigger room so it was easier for him. the room was lovely, clean and had everything you would need in it…. apart from teaspoons (I always bring my own coffee but there was only wooden sticks (not a complaint though….. I’m sur if I went downstairs they would of got me one! moved us to a table to eat so my son could watch Man U on the tele (we went to meet the team the next day, all the staff made him feel really special) food was lovely. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful, Great stay thank you

Fantastic Hotel, amazing location, but best of all the night staff were awesome.....very knowledgeable extremely helpful, they went out of their way in helping me plan the best possible options to make sure the next few days went perfectly and they did, because of their advice I also saved a considerable amount of money and am very grateful for their help. Thank you to *LISA* and *MALCOM* for all your help. I am now a life time customer of this Hilton Hotel and as I travel to Manchester often will make sure all my stays are booked here. Iki Singh Virk

There is nothing that was bad

Easy to park, located at the cricket stadium and close to tram stop. Beds were comfy, large towels and good shower. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Allowed us to watch the end of the cricket from an empty balcony when the tv was out of action

Room was small so only one of us could sit on a single chair or move around. Tv was difficult to navigate and cricket channel was temperamental. Room service was mixed, either too efficient ie removed our plastic drinking bottles which we would have reused.( They werent anywhere near the bin.) Or non existent ie the soggy bathmat neatly folded expecting us to reuse although no chance of drying it

Very welcoming reception staff. Loved the seasonal decorations. Mince pies were a nice touch. The dining area was lovely. Dining staff wonderful. Food super, great fish dishes. Breakfast was best breakfast ever, wow thank you chef! Music was a good level. Lighting cosy. Bedrooms amazing especially room 325. Room 331 was smaller, but fine for a couple. Fantastic shower and products. Loved the tiles. Very clean, kudos to the cleaners! Was warm enough in room once worked out heating. Pillows and duvet were comfy. Tea and coffee in room. Hairdryer and fridge. Parked car without charge in the grounds carpark. So easy to get to the tram just at the side of building down very short lane.

On arrival I was a little worried. The outside of the building is a little plain from personal opinion, however, inside wowed me. Could use some trees or greening up on front entrance and carpark maybe if possible? You can get some amazing fake trees nowadays.
