Room was an upgrade and very comfortable and clean. When checking out we were charged for the free upgrade but next day after telephone call the difference was refunded. Thought the parking charges were high especially if you were staying more than one night. Would recommend for location as the town is a short walk away. Grounds would be great in summer

Staff very helpful, set up a table for us just outside dining room as we had a dog with us, even though they were very busy and stretched they did scrambled egg for 3 of our party, above and beyond. Even put a bowl of water for our dog. The air conditioning was excellent for the hottest day of the year. It was so nice to sit in the grounds of the gardens having a drink, tables and chairs were nicely spaced out.

Selection of draft lager could of been much better, unfortunately they ran out of both lagers when we were there

Very pleasant reception staff when we arrived who immediately apologised for the bedrooms not being close together. Also asked if we wanted to eat at the hotel but had to warn us that they were improving the kitchens and the menu was limited. They were also very helpful re tourist information. Breakfast was very good only on the second day they ran out of butter.

On our second night a coach party arrived and if this was the reason they ran out of butter and Marg. on the second breakfast then this is bad stock planning

We had a very nice room and it was kept nice and clean. The cleaning staff were very good and friendly on the few occasions we saw them. Breakfast had a nice selection and the location was great.

The obsession of having the air conditioning blasting out whatever the weather. On two of the four mornings it was rather cold in the breakfast room making it a bit uncomfortable and two evenings in the bar area was also cold with air conditioning blasting out.

This is an interesting review. Room and service were Very Good. Couple of small suggestions which would be icing on the cake - there were 3 adults in room and as so often the case, this is not taken into account - 2 glasses / 2 tea / coffee cups / 2 tea bags and enough milk for only 2.  Evening meal (we dined for 2 evenings) - food and service was excellent despite a more limited menu choice. Breakfast is a conundrum - not cheap and an issue with availability - for example, on last morning, no grilled tomatoes and no yoghurt. Extremely fatty bacon and cold fried eggs. Service was not an issue but lack of availability for the cost was. Easy recommend for the hotel stay and evening meal but would not recommend the breakfast at the price. Would certainly stay again but would pop into town for breakfast - we don't mind paying for a good breakfast but this fell short of our expectations.

Room smelt a little damp

We arrived early and popped in to reception to let them know we had parked - our room was already available for us. This was a real bonus. The reception staff were friendly and helpful as this is a great way of making a good first impression. Our room was large and comfortable with two chairs and a coffee table for added comfort. The fridge was a bonus (and in my opinion should be available in all hotels_. The location of our room was quiet and everything within the room was of an excellent standard.

I think it was a bit pricey but I suppose everything is nowadays. It doesn't mean we wouldn't return,...just not as often.

everything about the property was amazing. location was great, just by the station and just outside the town centre so easy to get where you need to go. room itself was immaculate and the included breakfast was brilliant, just what you need before starting your day. would highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton for anyone looking at staying in Stratford

there’s nothing bad I can say about the property, everything was great. if there’s anything it’s that the pillows were a little flat but you had enough to get comfortable.

Great location only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Stratford. Room was comfortable and although the bathroom had a shower over the bath rather than a walk in it was fine. Breakfast choice was good and the staff were happy to help eg make scrambled eggs!

The restaurant evening meal selection is very limited - it's almost as if they'd rather you ate out as there's no shortage of restaurant options in Stratford. Otherwise, paying extra for car parking is mildly irritating.

Breakfast was really poor - hot food looked tired & disappointing - scrambled egg wet and appalling, sausages small & looking grey. sadly not a patch on Holiday Inn breakfasts from whom Hilton can learn a lot. Bedroom was find & well appointed & nicely furnished, but there was mould & grime around the windows ( Rm 218 ), and no shower gel in shower dispenser. More attention needed by housekeeping. sorry to knock off 1 point for these defects
