This Hotel was phenominal. After a long road trip for most of the Summer, this hotel was probably the best out of 14 hotels. I am semi-disabled and my son is on the Autistic Spectrum, and we were treated like house guests instead of customers. It was fabulous. The lovely room had large sash windows that allowed a glorious summer breeze to cool us down after the "Hop- On Hop Off Bus Tour" which has a stop right outside - this means that one does not have to take a car into town and spend a fortune on car parking. The well stocked and immaculately maintained downstairs pub was a treat. Not too quiet but not too busy and always a local conversation to be had. We loved this place.

Please do not change anything, it is perfect like it is and we will be back.

I am very satisfied with all the places. 1. Clean and tidy room. Big enough bed and bathroom. The bath water is very warm and the environment is very quiet. This is definitely a place for casual living. 2. The environment is beautiful, surrounded by farms, small towns, beautiful bicycle paths and a small river. I am totally in love with it. 3. It is very convenient to walk from the nearest train station to the city for 8 minutes. Or reach the city center in 1 hour via a beautiful walking path. 4. The boss and clerks here make me feel warm and friendly. The bar downstairs closes at 8:30PM, a great atmosphere! Everyone here is very friendly. There is no restaurant in the bar but the staff can help you order takeaway. Thanks a lot for their help. This is my favorite vacation home, and I would like to come and live here for a while every year.

We chose this property because it was just a few miles from Stratford-upon-Avon and has a private car park. It was just what we wanted - quiet and convenient to Stratford but not in its midst. Our room (the Romeo and Juliet Suite) was large and well-appointed, with an ensuite that included an enormous tub. It is an older property, but our room was clean and comfortable. Rob, the manager was welcoming and attentive. When my husband requested ice to keep medication chilled, he installed a small refrigerator in our room.

We did not opt for the breakfast option, so we cannot speak to that service.

Rob greeted us and was very friendly and helped Carry my bag upstairs. Room was very spacious and clean. We stayed in the merchant of Venice room. Very light. Location was good for a stop over stay before travelling on. Shower very powerful. Tea, coffee and hair dryer provided for use. Easy to check in and out.

The 4 post bed, though looked beautiful, felt a bit unstable. The bathroom was a bit dated and because of this looked a bit grubby but merely cosmetic needs. Bit loud outside from what sounded like an extracter fan running regularly. The TV could do with repositioning as on the left side of the bed the post is in the way

It was a convenient location to the train station to be able to get to Stratford Upon Avon town centre and was directly opposite Mary Arden’s Farm. The staff were so lovely especially when I messaged to say we were planning on arriving early morning to catch the train in to town and asked if I could leave the car in the car park. I also asked if I could pay for the room when we arrived even if it wasn’t ready as I didn’t need access straight away and they said I could and would look out for us which was lovely. We had the lovely surprise of the room being ready and was shown to the room before we headed to town. It was a wonderful room and perfect size. When we arrived back at the hotel later in the afternoon, which was also a pub frequented by the lovely locals, the staff allowed for me to order in a pizza as I didn’t realise that they didn’t serve meals for dinner or breakfast, just a lunch like sandwiches and jacket potatoes. That’s more my fault for not checking beforehand. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay again. Value for money was brilliant too!

I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like about the property. It was great.

Atmosphere, very friendly, very clean. Warm and welcoming

No breakfast....had to get up and out to find breakfast which was 3 to 5 miles away depending on how much you were willing to pay for a simple breakfast. Stratford town centre you had to pay anything from 9 to 15 pounds plus for an egg a sausage bacon beans a tomato and A slice of toast. 5 miles plus you can get a full English for 6 pound.. If the Inn offered a very simple breakfast like a choose of baps egg bacon etc it's better than nothing

Loved the set up of the inn and Shakespearean themed rooms. Good size room and en-suite. Super easy check in and out and ideal to have the free carpark. Great bar with very cheerful patrons. Such lovely and friendly owners who went above and beyond to help with taxis, bar service and overall hospitality.

Wifi/signal didn’t really reach my room (was right on the end) but not a massive issue.

What a lovely place. Initially the location out of Stratford-upon-Avon seemed to be far, however, the hotel made up for it. A brisk 1 hour walk along the country side and canals into Stratford-upon-Avon or a quick train ride. Lovely management / staff that created a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel offers no food, however, they directed us to a vendor offering food across the road. We opted to use the same vendor for supper the next night, as it was set-up within the parking area of the hotel - such a great service to your patrons seeing that you do not offer food yourselves.

Very clean for an old place. Warm and comfortable room and en suite. Staff very friendly but left you alone if wanted. Comfortable beds and a good night's sleep. Had a bath with an over shower in the bathroom (bonus as I only have a shower at home). Price was so reasonable. Owner ensured we knew there was no food supplied. Room was at the back so no traffic noise.

Chiller fan (?) downstairs kept going off during the night which kept waking me. Wifi was only in communal areas but I was able to tether laptop to my phone, so no huge problem. Room was at the back so no view, but also no traffic noise.

Staff were helpful. Located in a peaceful rural village, way more affordable than staying in Stratford-on-Avon, yet 5-10 minute walk from station with direct train into Stratford-on-Avon, or lovely canal ride in if you bring a bicycle or fold-up :-)

They were not currently doing food (and there are no other venues in the village), though were clear about that up-front and on the website, and volunteered that they were very happy for us to bring take-aways back. Bar was shut about 8:30 pm Saturday night as well (it was apparently one of the quieter nights of the week) which was a bit surprising, though understandable. Again, the staff were entirely helpful and accommodating.
