Delta Hotels by Marriott Warwick

Lovely clean room, pillows great, air con efficient but window opens if preferred, nice big bed, good size tv, plenty of shelf storage, bathroom spotless with lots of complimentary toiletries. Lots of parking charged minimally. Breakfast was so nice!

No bags in bins which I get is environmentally friendly (there was a recycling ‘pouch’ hooked to side of room bin) but not nice for the bathroom I felt as there were no sanitary bags in the dispenser. The ironing board is stored inside and on the wardrobe door so it clonked and made a racket like something breaking every time we opened the wardrobe! Breakfast was lovely but we had to ask staff to clear a table for us as every empty table hadn’t been cleared and wiped. The staff who did this for us was not particularly friendly except to say that it was very busy. So felt like we’d put more pressure on them tbh. Could do with two coffee machines as everyone was complaining about the queue.

Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Reception staff were great and sorted out a few issues that bothered us. Quiet bedroom/corridor....slept well. Very large clear TV and range of channels. Excellent range of necessities/facilities such as coffee/tea making, hair drier, smoothing iron and ironing board.

Strange happenings with our bath towels...two of us booked in but only one bath towel provided on two nights then on third night there were no towels and the shampoo had mysteriously disappeared. Reception staff were great and sorted the problem. Although clean the bathroom had a 'tired' appearance with evidence of black mold on ceiling...could have done with a lick of paint as well and some new silicone.

Breakfast was exceptional for choice something for everybody, having stayed here before knew what to expect and there was no cutting corners on choice. Used to stay across the road at Holiday Inn Express but there nowhere near the choice of Delta and very small space to load your plate.

Very little info(none) in room, as it was a double room for two people felt two chairs in room would have been good and the hostess tray filled better, we had two t bags 4 milks all the rest was fruit teas, we went to a shop to buy t bags, milk, sugar to cover our 2night stay.oo

Plenty of parking,easy check in and the room although not the largest was nicely furnished, well decorated and a comfortable bed.Very quiet at night even with the window open.The shower room had very nice fitments,it looked pretty new,good to have bath sheets, as opposed to bath towels, and soft close toilet seats. Each member of staff we encountered was pleasant and helpful. We didn't have breakfast here,only a snack in the bar,which was a generous size, and the bar area had plenty of seating to eat or just drink. It was extremely good value and would definitely stay here again.

The car park was poorly lit at night.

Location

The electric vehicle charging points were very temperamental to use with one whole point not connecting at all. The one we moved our vehicle to showed as charging but no charge was made and so we had to go and sit in McDonald’s car park for 30mins charging for our rerun journey which was really inconvenient. The charging points require Wi-Fi to connect to the app but your free Wi-Fi didn’t reach and 4G didn’t seem to be strong enough so we had a real issue setting it up.

We had a few problems throughout the stay but every single thing was rectified quickly, I was very impressed by the customer service, I would definitely recommend the hotel, the staff went above and beyond to help you have a nice stay.

Lighting in the room should be improved, the lighting is very poor, no bedside lamps either, we made a booking for two rooms, we were given rooms opposite ends of the hotel, keep the group bookings rooms near to each other would be a lot better.

The hotel has been having renovations and unfortunately that meant we had to walk the length of the first floor to access the stairs up to the 3td floor. The stairwell carpet had paint splashes. Our room was just off the stairwell. It was nice and clean and had a small fridge which we found useful.

The cold water pressure was poor which meant scolding hot showers, when you tried to add cold the shower went off. We reported this and was told the handyman would sort it. He didn’t and we were offered the room next door. When I said it would have the same problem we were told it was just our room. We checked and it had the same problem. We stayed put as it was only only another 2 nights. We felt they just couldn’t be bothered to sort it out. The water valve only needed turning further on. Not rocket science.

The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was done well. the location was great for access to the NEC and the value for money was fantastic.

There was only one lift working which meant that you had to wait a little while for the lift, but not too much of an issue. the wallpaper was coming off the walls and there was no air con - a small plug in heater was placed in the room which warmed the room quickly. But if it were a summer day I’d be worried about the room getting hot.

We were travelling with family and booked 3 rooms. Extremely warm and friendly customer service from all staff, very accommodating to our needs. The listed facilities were great. The buffet breakfast was great, good selection for Veg and Non-Veg options. Room space was good, beds + pillows very comfortable and firm and the location was very good indeed. Lounge space and area was wonderful, and car parking available for guests.

Not all of the facilties were in working order for some of the rooms - Casting to TV available but didn't work for 2 of the 3 rooms; Loo flush not working properly on one bathroom and bathroom fittings in need of repair/ replacement. Car parking was available but was not told that this was chargeable until I was checking in - that said, daily fee was good value in any case.

Four of us stayed one night as a stop off on the way from Scotland to Harry Potter world. It was a great find, very handy, right by the motorway. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast (even lovely soft poached eggs on a buffet!). Good selection of food and drink also available at reasonable prices. Rooms on the small side but very comfortable. Definitely choose this hotel if I was passing again.
