Hotel Finial BW Premier Collection Oxford - Anniston

Our room was in the main building so we were set back in time by this elegant, historical building. Every floor has been meticulously renovated and restored. Our room was tastefully decorated and quite large. The bed was also very comfortable. The setting of this buidling is within a nicely gated property that is very well maintained. An absolute plus are the staff at reception. We were looking for a restaurant in the old downtown and they gave us some excellent recommendations – not too expensive, something with a bit of history and something that would serve the local cuisine.

The first negative thing was the central air conditioning control that was for several rooms. When we arrived, our room was an ice box. The only contol is outside the room and is the control for several rooms. This could have been a problem if other guests wanted their rooms to stay cold. The second negative thing was the breakfast. The setting of the main floor is very elegant with high backed chairs and low hanging chandeliers. The breakfast was served on a buffet table with plastic silverware and styrafoam cups for coffee. The buffet table was cluttered with plastic containers of jam and butter. Somewhat hectic and out of place for such a beautiful building.

Breakfast was great, the chef was also in charge of presentation of the dining area it was always clean, and well stocked. He was very cordial and polite when interacting with the patrons. Weekends he was alone and a human dynamo making sure that everything was just right. Thanks

The rooms were uncomfortable for reading or just lounging in the room. Only 2 chairs were provided. 1 was an office type chair at the desk the other was a blue velvet arm chair that was very uncomfortable.

The room was amazing! The beds were so comfy, the room was quiet even though we were close to the pool and road. The waffles were the best and so unique. We didn't have to ask for anything extra because it was already provided. We've booked again and look forward to plenty of other stays!

I would love to see a hot tub added to the pool area one day. The breakfast was so good, it would have been nice to have a variety and something different the second morning we were there.

The facility is a BEAUTIFUL home built in 1878! Rather than tear the gorgeous old home down, it was renovated in the 1980’s and has served as guest lodging for many years. The staff was great. We got a tour of the old carriage house that is used for the office to handle reservations. It is close to the downtown area but it is close enough to the interstate to not be too inconvenient. It’s worth it!

I’ve loved this place since I was a child! I’ve always dreamed of getting to stay there, and so when I saw it was re-opened- I couldn’t book this place fast enough! it didn’t disappoint- so beautiful! We stayed in the Wilson suite and everything was perfect (the room was a bit warmer and brighter during day hours and could hear talking very easily outside our room- these are our issues tho- a house this age is bound to have a few “issues” that kind of “come with the territory”). Would definitely recommend and plan to stay again in the future- thank you!

the location got a little bit “busier” at night, not sure if it was the Waffle House post partying or the fact that it was a holiday weekend? we saw a lot of cops and dispersion measures taken- lil scary. The property itself = beautiful! I wish the restaurant was still open- I ate here once or twice in my childhood and remember how well-known it was just for the food! That was really my only true disappointment about my stay. My husband mentioned the need for black-out curtains and maybe some sound proofing for the rooms in the main house, but those are varying opinions really.

Clean place, friendly staff, breakfast nice, have eggs and waffles.. Coffee is unlimited.. They have free apples all night… free cookie from morning. Location for Oxford is great, near all resturants and convenient stores.. They have a garden, small outside, with comfy seating to smokes, feels like heaven in the garden

No Uber will be available in Oxford. Make arrangements for shuttles to Atlanta airport or Birmingham through online or taxi service.

The breakfast was excellent as well as the service. The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower and bathroom facilities were excellent as well. The WiFi was fast and not a problem. The staff was friendly and efficient. The location was great, and the parking was easy and secure. The decor of the hotel was exceptional and historic. It is a beautifully restored hotel. Built in 1888 in the Gothic Victorian style, its interior is completely updated for one's comfort. Would stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved that the pool was salt water, not chlorine. The rooms were clean. The shower was a nice bonus. The main house is beautiful. The property is gated which is nice.

A full breakfast was served but most of the food was cold even with the hot plates to keep them warm. The food did not taste bad, it was just cold. Like others have said, you can hear all the noise from outside in your room. We turned the TV up to help drown out the noise but it can be a bit annoying when trying to sleep.

Very spacious and comfortable rooms, beds, bathrooms. The heat was on which was nice. The bartender brought champagne to the room for us the breakfast was the best hotel breakfast ive ever had, some items even gourmet.

The drive/entrance is somewhat hidden, no clear directions how to get out of parking lot. The elevator was iffy so we had to walk to the room and it was in the high 20s outside with winds and from the check in it was about 4-5 minute walk with luggage. The check in, breakfast area, and the actual rooms are all located in 3 different buildings, with a pool in the middle. Not much direction on location of everything or any history of the building is given by staff unless you ask specifically, although they were very nice and friendly.

Stayed here already a couple of times and I'm very happy. I leave completely satisfied each time. Breakfast ist good and rooms are nice and clean. In summertime you can use the outdoor pool. The overall experience is A+. I will definitely come back again.

Nothing. Maybe if kitchen would offer snacks for lunchtime or dinner (like sandwitches or something like that) would be nice.
