Hampton Inn & Suites Montgomery-Downtown

Everything was just great! Location is central, the lobby is wonderful with many things to see (old switchboard center and vintage elevator layout), the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, they made our stay a treat. The room was just perfect, very clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was big and very comfortable and there was a small living area. The real treat was a little kitchenette with fridge, microwave, sink, cabinets, coffee machine etc. Breakfast was great in variety and portions. Definitely a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to feel like royals.

There is no free parking, only quite pricey valet one. However there are other parking possibilities in the area, so not a huge issue, even if you come by car.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Standard Hampton Inn breakfast fare, but we appreciate that! Room and facilities were in good repair. Room was very clean. For enjoying and touring Montgomery, the hotel's location was outstanding, central to everything. Historic feel to the building but with current furnishings inside

Room refrigerator - they didn't have one; such are very helpful when we travel Parking - we needed to use valet parking (extra $29). On-street parking seemed reasonably safe with police presence, but we did not feel it adequate for what we kept in our car.

The staff were very friendly.

They didn’t have enough staff to have the room ready on time. When we did get in the room we were left with a dirty towel from a previous guest and no toilet roll. The bed was so old that when you lay on it your head was higher than your feet and every time you got out of bed it squeaked. The property is very old. Our room had peeling paint and rotten windows. Shower was either cold or scalding hot. We did report things and the reception staff said they would make a note of it.

the front desk staff Vanessa is absolutely amazing welcoming and makes you feel comfortable at home welcome and appreciated the valet staff is absolutely amazing also so helpful and polite the breakfast was very good lots of choices and very tasty

I guess if I had to not like something the view from window of our room was just of air conditioning units not hotel fault not a big problem would be kinda cool on those windows to paint a Montgomery skyline on lower part but not a big deal

Breakfast was great! Lots of choices to eat. Staff was always very nice and helpful. Valet service staff were excellent especially Paul! Location was great, easy walk to restaurants. Love the shampoo and conditioner and body wash dispensers!!

Room had quite a bit of dust buildup on the floors next to where the floor meets the wall. Not a huge deal but noticed it when putting luggage down.

Location was great. Walking distance to restaurants and museums. Wintzels Oyster House was the absolute best food and service. Big props to the bartenders! Breakfast was ok. Muffins, eggs, sausage, cold cereal, waffles, fruit and all the usual continental stuff.

Hotel was old. Room had peeling paint on window sills and they fogged up in the morning due to the cold. It was clean but definitely time to upgrade. No extra toilet paper and one tiny trash can in the room.

We have stayed with Hampton Inn in Montgomery many times with our groups. This hotel strikes the perfect balance between classic and modern. The location is great also. We will always stay at this hotel when we come to Montgomery.

The only issues with this location comes from age. It is a double edged sword, because I also wouldn't change a thing. The hotel was called something else back in the day. I suppose I would welcome returning back to the original name.

Bed was comfortable, room was spacious and staff were very friendly and helpful. I also like the fitness center and being able to park on the street.

No microwave or fridge in room. Furniture was not dusted well, some mold in the shower. I was disappointed there was no tub in the bathroom, only a walk in shower. I asked the front desk about the microwave and fridge and she said some rooms have them and some don't. The hotel did not seem to be at full capacity so I don't understand why one of those rooms was not given to me. Also the breakfast was disappointing.

The staff, room and breakfast were very well. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Always greeted us in the morning or anytime of the day, had a very good conversations.

I wish that the cost of parking had been included in the hotel stay. I end up paying twice for Friday checkin, and once for checking out on yesterday. The Valet parking sign had only $25.00. Didn't say per day, or anything else. The guy didn't explain how much it cost either. That's very misleading to a tourist coming in from out-of-state.

Your breakfast is the best. The Food Service Manager is the best. Each time I have been at the facility she is so accommodating with my needs of not eating certain items. Your Front Desk Rep. Rodney H., is always friendly and excited to see you.

The room could use an update, window need striping and repainted, shower curtain should be replaced, Room #306, mildew. Other than those two things the rooms are comfortable and very nice to stay in. Windows need repair in both of the rooms I have stay #407.
