SpringHill Suites by Marriott Montgomery Downtown

The room was fantastic...large, comfortable sitting area with TV and workspace; at least 20' ceiling with exposed wood/beams; efficient and quiet air conditioning; standard sized/stuffed pillows on a bed that slept very well; clean and stylish bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the lobby was very cool and welcoming; and the location was perfect for walking to entertainment and dining.

My only complaint would be the glass shower door needed a rubber seal to keep the water from flooding out onto the floor.

The location is great. The decor/style is great. Giant windows & tall ceilings made the room feel super spacious.

When we arrived & checked into our room it wasn’t clean. (surfaces, mirrors, needs soap & towels…) we were told there weren’t any maids on premises until the next morning. This should never happen!! The hotel was very busy & they seemed under staffed. The next morning at breakfast someone came around to check on our stay & took care of the situation immediately. The breakfast could just be a WHOLE LOT BETTER!!

Very unique and historic building in the heart of Montgomery. Former wholesale grocery in the early 1900s then furniture outlet later on. This is what should be done with older buildings! Excellent experience, and pretty clean and great customer service!

Can’t say there was anything I disliked truly about it. But it would be nice if they had their own free parking lot. It’s all valet unless you find a street spot with a meter. It was the weekend so it was free, so no issue there.

The rooms are unique, very spacious, clean and well designed. The staff are very professional and very friendly. The breakfast was well stocked with many options. Loved the sausage biscuits! The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the downtown area and restaurants via walking. There is limited parking near the front entrance but many parking spaces elsewhere.

We did not have housekeeping visit our room for the two nights we were in town. We were out of the room from 9am until 7pm both nights. However, we don't require much and made our own bed.

Probably one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in. Very clean and the staff was very friendly. I got upgraded to the executive king suite and it was a huge room! It was right next to the baseball park and had easy access. The beds were comfortable and I slept well. Very very nice hotel and I highly recommend!

Being in downtown Montgomery, it was expensive, but it was well worth it for the location. You have to find a parking spot downtown or pay for valet.

I always try to stay at SprinHill Suites when I travel in Montgomery. Their beds are the best! I know that I will sleep well when I stay there. Also, the rooms are very romantic with huge windows, long sweeping drapes and the interesting mix of the rough hewn exposed lumber and bricks of the building that once was a cotton gin. Gorgeous facility!

Great location. I wish there were more restaurants nearby. Also would be nice to find closer free parking. It is a very expensive hotel and having only valet parking at $25/day was an added cost I wasn't expecting. I had to find alternatives on my own.

Parking options.

Building was beautiful, super quiet, exposed brick, tall windows, beautiful shower, fluffiest towels, bed was heavenly, and the TV was actually a really nice one that swiveled between the sitting/desk area and the beds. Staff was super sweet and they have a small snack shop at the front desk too. Got a beer, soda and some popcorn to chill in the room with. It is also directly across from the stadium so it was easy to walk over and watch a Biscuits baseball game thst was a spur of the moment idea.

There is ONLY valet parking at $23 per day. Circled the block too many times trying to find somewhere to park thst didn't have a meter or the valet. Gave up and parked thru the intersection on the left in a parking deck. Its was only $5 overnight and worth the short walk. The 'free' wifi was mediocre at best too. Trying to stream a simple cartoon has it glitching constantly.

This was the best experience I’ve had yet upon my visit in Montgomery. This hotel provided everything as I expected it to. Thank you for such a great experience I really appreciate the extra effort at the front desk clerk took. The breakfast was outstanding I really did enjoy the eggs and sausage. I would like to have better coffee in the room but one cannot expect that much. Thanks again for such a great stay.

My room did have some issues however I believe maintenance was doing some work prior to my arrival they left some tools and the shower door was not level which caused bath water to enter upon the floor. I cleaned it up however I did report it to the front desk and he appreciated the effort that we gave them to fix the shower door.

Rooms were amazing! Loved the high, wooden ceilings. Loved the bar. This is hotel has real style and ambience.

Breakfast was pretty minimal. Housekeeping needs to be vigilant about same room details - we had a mysterious white stain on the sofa which my hubby photographed and showed at the front desk. They were apologetic and gave him a Clorox wipe. It came off but it should have been seen and taken care of by housekeeping. Also, the toilet paper holder had fallen off the wall.
