Homewood Suites by Hilton Carlsbad-North San Diego County

My son and I were on a trip to visit the beaches and Legoland and this hotel was perfect for us! Lots of room, loved having a kitchen and full fridge. The daily warm breakfast was wonderful! It really made life easier for me! Room was large and quiet. We thought the pool area was so lovely and peaceful...we mostly had the place to ourselves. Hot tub was divine at the end of a full day. Cheryl at the front desk was so helpful and kind.

The hotel and rooms could use an upgrade...some things are pretty worn out. Dining chairs are stained. But that didn't bother us much! The pool needs to be heated more. It was frigid! Location is close to LegoLand but nothing within walking distance from hotel. Had to drive, but not a biggie! Sprouts and Trader Joes very close for groceries as well as some restaurants in same complex.

I liked the suite. It was a really good size. The beds in the bedroom were very comfortable. The bathroom was very large. I liked the closet. And I liked the large mirrors in the bathroom. The livingroom was pretty large as well. And lots of sitting places.

I was told by the ones that used the sofa bed that it was very uncomfortable. Also in the bedroom I found a pill under the bed, we looked up the markings on the pill and it was Sudafed, but still scary because I have a 1 year old. I feel like housekeeping should really make sure they vacuum under the beds as well and even check to make sure there isn't anything under them. Also we were told that don't have housekeeping on the weekend.

The breakfast was good, however what happened to the waffles? The managers reception? I like the BBQ and plan to use next time.

The guests on both side were rude and lack of courtesy, againThis is 3rd time had to deal with this. Didn't sleep the first night. Thankfully 2nd night I talked to front desk and she called them it was quiet. I plan on coming for 3 nights but I like would for a discount or service recovery for my troubles. I haven't made reservation yet considering trying somewhere else. I've come to this property 5 or more times not sure. And it just seems like the guests tarnishing my view of the property each time. I'm sure my business doesn't matter as much as the revenue they generate here. We loved staying here, but we may go somewhere else!

Very nice one-bedroom suite. Breakfast buffet had everything! Hot and tasty. Appreciated the privacy of a bedroom with a door that closes, instead of a partition. Rooms were clean and housekeeping staff was amazing.

Very small dining table was cramped for only two people. Bathroom sink was open to bedroom so no privacy and had noise to wakeup sleeping guests. Parking lot at night was very full but we ultimately were able to find a spot.

I like the area, and how close it was to Legoland.

We were disappointed that the pool and the spa were both super cold and not heated.

a little pricey, and we were initially given a stuffy room with a portable AC unit; apparently the regular AC in that room was not working. we asked for another room, and they managed to come up with a regular room with real AC. I just wonder how we were initially selected to get the crappy room with no discount offered or anything. seems odd that they would give anybody that room as long as there was another available.

Room was great and perfect size for our family of 5. We all enjoyed breakfast and enjoyed that the tv had the capability to add our Netflix info or other streaming devices. The staff was very friendly and the person who checked us in was very kind.

The ONLY thing we didn’t like the the fridge in the room made such a loud noise nonstop. Everything else was perfect.

Was very disappointed in the breakfast given, the guy didn't ask what we wanted just have a sack breakfast. I had to ask for a hot breakfast. Also I understand housekeeping not cleaning rooms unless requested, I did all that they remove the dirty towels and all they did was replaced them wroth clean towels leaving the dirty ones on the bathroom floor. I had to tell them at the front counter 2 times that i asked that they remove the dirty towels before someone came to get them. Also considering they come in the room they clearly seem the trash was full, please remove the full trash and leave the trash can with a empty bag.

Happy to have cooked food for breakfast but the selection was very minimal and eggs were substitute eggs, not real scrambled eggs. Would have preferred some better selections and actual eggs.

Hallways were dirty and cleanliness could improve. Although their maid service was excellent.

We are a family of 5 and the one bedroom suite was perfect for us. We had space for the kids to hang out, space to eat and warm food and everything we needed. The staff was very nice and helped us every time we asked for something (extra towels, coffee,etc). I would definitely recommend this hotel to families. Also was not too far from Legoland which was very nice!

Liked it all and will stay there again.
