Motel 6-Carlsbad, CA Beach

The property was clean and super close to the stores and beach. This Motel 6 was simple and basic which I like if your staying a few nights. I had no problems with my stay. Inside the room there isn’t much just bathroom, bed and TV with cable :)…….so you know I put on back to the future #3 (channel 37) and ordered ramen down the street. highly recommend if your looking not to spend to much. Definitely bring your own blankets and pillow. If you want to sleep like royalty. They had some sheets but I’m high maintenance I like to sleep like a king. but I will come back :D p.s they had a vending machine so I got B4 (SunChips )

Rooms were clean, they DID NOT SMELL BAD, beds are comfy, they were raised so you could actually put stuff bellow the bed, ac was on the top and away from you which is also good. and most importantly it was quiet, it was not loud its pretty peaceful.

only thing we had issues were the keys, they gave was one it was working but we needed two we went back, they made another one but came back it did not work we went back again, they made two and disabled other two. both of them worked for one day the other day one key was not working and disabled. but not a big deal we were never locked out of the room

Very friendly staff. We had an issue with our remote for the TV; they took care of it promptly and everything was good after that. Also, we extended our stay and they were great to accommodate us. Pool area was clean. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. A/C worked really well, I was able to keep my room at a pretty cool temp. Parking was easy. Even when kids were splashing around and having fun in the pool I didn't hear them. Property was clean and maintained well. There weren't any dark areas that I felt unsafe to walk in.

The mattress moved a lot, because there isn't a lip on the bed frame. Woke up to the mattress having moved over a foot from the head board. No iron, hair dryer, or shampoo in room. Had to buy shampoo from a vending machine. Also, no mini fridge. Being a motel, would've hoped for a mini fridge. No nightstand on one side of the bed. That was inconvenient to charge phone, lay glasses down etc. Coffee wasn't available after about 9 am; check out is at 11, would've liked to have coffee for my drive out.

Frustrating because the vending machines consistently charged my card $5.00 for a $2.50 bottle of soda and when I complained to the staff they said they were not responsible for the machines and there should be a label with a phone number to call. I took a photo. There was not. Happened every time I used the machine. I am due A $10 credit from the vending machine company and there’s no way to contact them.

Location is excellent and the staff I'd always accommodating to our needs. Plus, your pet friendly ways are a big reason why we choose Motel 6.

The one thing of concern is the fact that the bathtub had no slip-resistant tape in it. I slipped in the tub when I was getting out and fell. Fortunately, no harm no foul, but it was alarming how quickly my slip came about.

we had a nice quiet stay here. the room was clean. we had a lot of downtime. staff was nice and helpful. the ice machine was a good bonus. the room has cold and nice. ac worked well for us and it kept us cool.

we could have been taken care of better in the sense of how quickly we got things handled when we asked for towels. there was a lot of riff riff around outside and the place has no security guard.

Nice for Motel 6 . Its a good value, clean ,safe parking. Short walk for food or essentials.

A little bit used ? I was in back so there wherever lot of cigarette butts. Otherwise fine. No ocean view? Could have fridge and microwave, always a plus............,................ .....................,nnn?n......nnnnnnnnnnnn.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn?n??.nnn??

The pillows were of low caliber. No filling.

Great, calm location just off the freeway. Felt safe. Friendly and helpful staff. Room in good condition. Great places nearby for leisure, shopping and dining.

Could've been great with just a little more, like providing shampoo and a few additional towels for a cuadruple room. Curtains need replacing and the bathtub was missing the floor plug.

We got exactly what we paid for -- a clean, air conditioned room, comfortable bed, good hot shower with enough water pressure, relatively quiet, great location right off the beach. Front desk staff was very courteous, helpful, friendly.
