Staybridge Suites Carlsbad/San Diego, an IHG Hotel

The hotel room rate made our stay worth it. With the room rate that I paid for, they had a whole list of freebies. Free breakfast, Free dinner (with ur choice of beer/wine), free wifi, free parking, with great amenities such as the pool, jacuzzi, playground, bbq area…… and the list goes on. The room I got was the 2 bedroom suite. It was a decent size 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen. Their fridge was an A+. It’s not one of those tiny fridge that most hotels come with. Overall, it was just all worth it. I was happy I booked with Staybridge because besides myself, my whole family loved and enjoyed the hotel as well. Definitely would come back again.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good! The pool was excellent (a definite selling point for our granddaughters). We enjoyed the BBQ's and the outside eating areas. We really enjoyed being there and would highly recommend this hotel to friends!! Very clean, good location, very relaxing!!! Lots of good eating places close by. Quiet even though it was very close to the airport...must be well insulated! Hopefully we'll be able to come back sometime soon!!!

The only thing I think could be better would be the kitchen dishes. When we made a reservation for 5 people I would've thought there would be plates and silverware for 5 people. I'm sure we could have asked for more and they would gladly bring them. Also towels for 5 people (we did get more of these). Reservations for 5 should reflect 5 in the cupboards. Just a thought! Also, you might think about a little upgrade to the fold out bed mattress...pretty uncomfortable. But the other beds were great!!!

Stayed in a one bedroom suite with 3 adults and 2 kids which was nice and cozy. Both queen beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great and I liked their social nights which happened on Mon - Wed. Location is pretty good, close to Legoland and about a 30 min drive to the Safari Park and Sea World in San Diego.

Carpets were not that clean. My daughter’s socks turned black while wearing them to walk around the room. The sofa bed was awfully uncomfortable and creaky.

Loved the hotel, great when traveling with kids, they have basketball court, games, mini golf. And we loved the fire place in the beautiful garden. Very clean and front desk and cleaning workers very friendly.

One of the workers at the breakfast time, didn’t have a nice attitude when e ask for more coffee. They had a great breakfast! Just needed to be more aware when to refill the food. But other than that we love this place.

Breakfast included! Reception snacks were great! Outdoor amenities were nice - pool, basketball , corn hole, connect 4 were utilized! Didn’t get a chance to try the mini golf. Location was centrally located to Legoland and surrounding areas to visit.

The faucet in the tub to enable the shower could use a refresher: water was escaping out of the faucet when the shower was enabled. Minor issue but great overall.

While being close to the airport I never heard or woke up to a low flying plane. All of the services provided by the hotel was amazing

The walls are a little thin so you can definitely hear ya know what going on but I had more complaints about the other guest not respecting the hotel . The hotel was above and beyond for me .

We needed to be out of our house due to issues with our renovation. We needed a kitchen, beds for a family of four, and to have our dog with us. The property was exceptionally clean, quiet, and perfect for us. My kids loved the pool and the complimentary breakfast. Everything was exceptional during a stressful time for our family. We had to change the dates of our stay as our renovation finished early and the staff easily and thoughtfully helped with adjusting the dates. Staff was exceptional from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The location is really close to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend staying at this property!

I loved every single thing about this property!

The breakfast is fabulous with well prepared food and drinks. Also we enjoyed the social events hosted by the hotel at Mon-Wed evenings with drinks and snacks. The room is spacious for a family of four. The basket ball court and mini golf court add some extra fun to the stay.

The furnitures are not kid-friendly with sharp corners very close to the bed. Our kid and my wife were hurt by the corners during our stay.

Staff, location of hotel and over-all experience was great! It was nice having the kitchen and the items provided in order to prepare meals in the room.

As with any hotel, the sound of noise carries when kids are running in the halls, but honestly it only happened on a couple of occasions. Not the hotels fault, it would be nice for parents with children to be mindful of other guests. Coffee maker got water all over the counter - not sure what was wrong with it! And one of the lights at the desk was a little haywire. Not sure if they check them when they do the walk-throughs.

This place far exceeded my expectations. We had a suite with two bedrooms a main area and kitchen. The kitchen was better socked than the air bnb we had been at for the previous week. The breakfast was amazing. We weren't there at dinner time but I was impressed that they have a social time with some complimentary items. The pool was beautiful and it was by far the best hotel we've stayed in.
