Oceanview Inn and Suites

Our reservation was correct.

Huge problem….on the web site it states “includes breakfast”……no breakfast due to the virus. The virus has been going on for 18 months yet your web site still claim to have a free breakfast. Nothing was offered, not a breakfast to go or discount ticket at a local restaurants. At all the other places we stay, they either had the web page changed or offered a free breakfast. We decided this was just a easy to mislead travelers and pocket the cost of breakfast. Very disappointing.

This hotel is beautiful, clean, the rooms are spacious and the Staff is absolutely helpful and amazing! Room with a Bay view was very nice and Christine and Diane went out of their way to accommodate us with a comfortable chair that we needed. Also Angela, Cory were extremely helpful when we booked our room and gave us several great recommendations of places in the area to visit. The Battery Point Lighthouse tour was fantastic and the Stout Grove easy hiking trail at Jedidiah Redwoods was FANTASTIC! Also drive up the Oregon Coast to Gold Beach; Ocean World great and Good Harvest Cafe as well!!

Breakfasts were good but if you need more selection for bigger appetites, you may want to go out for breakfast. Also, beds (mattresses) were good but could be better.

We stayed in a family suite. It was spacious and clean. Beds were comfy with nice bedding and plenty of pillows. Sink in the room (outside of the bathroom) speeds up getting ready for a family, and a long counter with enough space for everyone's grooming supplies. Good breakfast and guest laundry are very convenient. Bike trail right behind the hotel leads to a waterfront park and a large fun playground. The lobby and breakfast area are nicely decorated in nautical theme, feels somewhat like an old style family owned place, cozy. Close to redwood forests.

There's nothing negative to say about this hotel, only about surrounding area. There are a few nice large hotels around and a large waterfront park, but it still looks rundown, which is a common problem for small towns in remote areas. Not a place where you'd want to come out for a stroll after dark.

The room was very nice and the staff accommodating. I was originally put on the ground floor with a view and windows that I could open. However there was a homeless guy right outside my room and I didn't feel safe with the windows open. I went to reception and even though there were no rooms available, they did manage to find me a room on the 2nd floor that was very nice. The joke was though, there were 3 queen beds. I was staying there alone for 4 nights and could have tried all 3! The hotel was centrally located to all activities and the staff very helpful. The breakfast was not available because of covid but the restaurant next door gave 20% off if you were staying at the hotel;

The room was very clean and spacious with plenty of storage and the bathroom had a nice selection of toiletries. A big car park, and all-day tea and coffee making facility both in the room and in the dining area. What made this hotel stand out was the exceptional level of care from the staff who could not have done more to help us and make us as comfortable as possible. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oceanview Inn and Suites.

Nothing could improve our stay

The room was huge, two queen beds 8 out of 10 comfortable beds and pillows. Large flat screen TV, Jetted tub, Breakfast and even a nice electric fireplace, with tax came to $114. WOW anywhere else it would have been at least $150-$200. I will be back

Some of the furniture could be updated. Not worn just not modern. Can't really think of anything else on the negative side and will definitely be where I stay next time in the area for work.

Room was spacious and clean.

Bathtub faucet dripped and made noise. Breakfast options were almost entirely carb foods - breads and cereals. Only non-carb option was yogurt and there were very few left. No eggs or other proteins available when we went to the breakfast room. Also a repetitive fog horn (?) in the distance drove me crazy. That is not the hotel's fault. I had to wear ear plugs in the room.

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. I like the security of having all the room accessible from the inside and the elevator was a definite plus to access the upper floors. Breakfast was sufficient and the staff was helpful and pleasant.

The entry from the highway had a big dip and was a bit jarring entering and leaving the parking lot, but I see that there was ongoing road construction and walkway improvement going on, so hopefully that is fixed in the future.

The room is spacious. Lots of counter space. Nice to have refrigerator and microwave. Coffee is available but not very good. Breakfast is good, covers the basics. I enjoyed being able to open the window but was concerned about not having a screen. I have young grandkids and feel this was a danger for families.

Screen on the window. Maybe a Keurig coffee pot in the room. Peanut butter on the breakfast buffet. Softer bed pillows

It was clean and cheerful. I had expected from the comments on the Bookings website that it would be dated and rundown. It is dated and hardly new but very well maintained and orderly. It had an adequate continental breakfast and a most friendly helpful desk staff. The price was unbelievably reasonable.
