Beachfront Inn

The view. The view. The view. Our room was right on the beach, and the sunset/sunrise was amazing. My stay happened on the day of a dramatic negative tide, so the morning walk on the beach was spectacular. The pet-friendly room had a wood-pattern ceramic tile floor that was attractive and super clean. The room is very large and comfortable, and the bathroom was recently updated and beautiful. The breakfast buffet (included in room rate) is generous.

The room rate for this holiday weekend was really high, so my only ding in the rating is for high price. But for a last-minute booking on a holiday weekend, it was a beautiful place to land.

Our upgraded King room in the furthest left building was very comfortable with perfect ocean view and served us well for a 4-day stay.

Not all rooms are created equal. The queen room we were originally given smelled very musty and toilet was very wobbly. I inquired about an alternate at desk and was upgraded to a lovely king in different building. I note that even the King room had a visibly dirty vent right above the bed, and stained couch in two places. Otherwise, the upgraded room was perfectly lovely for our 4-day stay.

My wife loves the ocean. The view from our window and balcony was filled with beach and ocean. The slider door had a feature where it could be secured open about 4 inches, to allow the ocean sounds to fill the room while we slept. It was hard to sleep when we returned home and had to use a phone app to try and recreate the ocean music.

Everything was fine. Water pressure was a little weak, but we were on the top floor. The people running the chainsaw on the beach in early evening to build a bombfire was a little bit of a bummer but was done quick enough. I would do the same as them if I wanted to build a nice beach fire : )

Beachfront and had the most accessible bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel/motel/cottage/rental/inn. I could not have been more comfortable or impressed with the bathroom. I actually took a lot of pictures for our ADA bathroom remodel in my own home.

The bed was not very comfortable and the sheets were old and scratchy. It felt a bit like rough linen. The pillows weren’t that great either. Everything else was exceptional.

All the rooms have a great beach and ocean view. We were on the top floor and the room was very quiet. We go there to fish and leave very early but the final morning we tried the breakfast and it was way better than we expected. We were very happy with the Beachfront Inn.

We have no complaints. If we had a wish list an elevator would be nice but not really necessary.

The staffs were amazingly friendly. The check in was very fast, accurate and efficient. Our rooms were on the 1st floor (as requested earlier) and were clean. Love the comfy beds! Before checking out, we had hot breakfast and it was delicious. All in all two thumbs up!! Great job Beachfront Inn. Happy Holidays!!!

We absolutely loved the beach access. My girls have never experienced a beach as nice at this one with tide pools and starfish.

Only thing we would change is being able to have two ajoining rooms so the kids could have a space and we could have a separate space.

We LOVED the location. The ocean was right outside our sliding glass doors. Loved listening to the ocean and the smell of the ocean air. We never did take advantage of the breakfast just because we don’t usually eat breakfast. We did ask the cleaning crew for additional coffee each day and they were happy to accommodate us. I also liked the elevator. I have a hard time managing stairs so the elevator was a plus.

We brought our dog with us so she could enjoy the ocean. She is well behaved but occasionally will jump on the bed to wake us up or to play. We brought an extra old sheet with us to cover the bed spread but we had 2 beds. I think that would be something that the cleaning crew might like also. We try to keep to room as clean as we can.

I love the location. right on a beautiful beach! good food for breakfast which comes with the room. the room is lovely with everything you need. very well planned out inn.

vending machines didn’t work and the jacuzzi was broken

Beachfront Inn is exactly as suggested: right on the beach. Open the windows to hear the surf crashing, less than 100 yards from the hotel to the surf line, spectacular views of the coast and out to sea. Miles of beach to explore, as well as the Port of Brookings across the street with boatyards, an active commercial fishing fleet, and the Chetco River mouth. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with ample space to unpack toiletries in the bathroom.

Some minor maintenance issues were apparent: a broken step on the stairs to the second floor (with a traffic cone to alert guests) and the elevator was being repaired when we arrived and had to schlep our luggage up the stairs (by departure the elevator had been restored and we didn’t have to carry everything back down).
