The place to be if you need a good nights rest before heading into Yosemite to camp! A group of friends and I did just that this last week before heading into the NP and we could not be more happy with our stay - first the staff - now a days it’s hard to find good workers who will provide great service with a smile and the team at 5th did exactly that- from a pre arrival phone call where the person was so kind - to checking in. Also my wife left her kindle and after our 3 days in the NP the hotel was able to get it back to us! The person even called everyone who worked the day we check out to make sure we could get it back 10/10 customer service. The room it’s self was very clean and just a great design and size for our big group - everyone was able to sleep nicely and the sheets and towels were very nice quality. You know big hotels are starting to get way too expensive , they are not as Fridley anymore and honestly not worth the money - but the 5th street inn was a breath of fresh air. We will always stay here when we can when coming up to Yosemite and I highly recommend you to do the same - thank you 5th street in for a great stay!!

Our room was located at the back of the property with a flowering bush covering over the walk way. The bushes were blooming and fragrant. The covered porch had a dome shaped awning with lights. There was a table and chairs so we ate breakfast on the porch and sat in the evening enjoying our coffee. Our room was clean with a jacuzzi tub and queen size bed. Everything was very Clean! Also remember this is an 'inn' and each room is different and unique. It is NOT a 'stamped' out hotel, but it has all of the items available in a hotel room with the microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator.

This is not a didn't like, but we were visiting Yosemite National Park and the drive to the entrance was about 45 minutes, BUT the drive was very scenic and worth it. Also the town of Mariposa was fun to shop and the people we met in the restaurants and shopping were friendly and nice. We weren't meeting other tourist, but people who lived and worked in the area.

I can not say enough positives about my experience with this stay. The host/owner could not have been more helpful. He had a lot of knowledge about the area and gave great suggestions. I left a wallet in the room, and he contacted me to let me know and went out of his way to help me retrieve it (with all contents). The room was very clean, large, and comfortable. The town was also quite charming with a lot m of food options.

It is an older facility with multi generational eclectic decor, but that is part of the charm, I suppose.

Loved that it had a kitchenette with not only a stove top but an oven as well! The kitchenette was pretty well stocked with plates, bowls, cups, utensils, and pots and pans if you wanted to cook and eat a meal in. Had a full fridge with freezer, which is always a great find. They had some cans of soda and bottles of water already in the fridge that you could help yourself to, only asking that if you took one you put a dollar in the tin by the door. The overall layout was great. Having a Murphy bed was really inspired, it makes the studio feel very spacious. The place was peaceful and there were lots of things within walking distance for getting food IF you don't want to take advantage of the kitchen. It wasn't too far a walk from there to the park the town has, either. Plenty of natural light if you opened the blinds but even with them shut you didn't really need to turn on a light until toward evening. Overall very nice and clean. Having a whole private parking lot behind their location was wonderful too.

They do not have a pool and while the shower is nice, a bath tub would have been welcome. Neither of these were major detractions from our stay at all. Will also say was a little more than I would have liked to pay BUT well worth it. Would have liked it if I could have darkened the room more at night.

We stayed at the 5th Street Inn on our way to Yosemite where we had booked a two night stay at the Ahwahnee Hotel. Our room at the 5th Street Inn was more comfortable than the Ahwahnee. The service, while mostly handled remotely, was excellent; on a par with what I expected from the Ahwahnee. They even had a coffee maker in the room.

The only area the Ahwahnee Hotel exceeded the 5th Street Inn was the Ahwahnee had glass glasses in the room rather than plastic glasses and the Ahwahnee is located in one of the most beautiful places in the world. ;-)

Staff were super kind, both in emails and face to face. The room was very clean and tidy, bed was comfy and veiw from the balcony was great. The location is great, close to many bars and restaurants in walking distance.

There were no safe, kettle or ice machine. Room was a bit small for the two of us. There is no 24 hours front desk, but we could reach them when they were present and ask for things we needed.

Decided to stay at this hotel during a trip to Yosemite. It is about a hour away from Yosemite Valley. Enjoyed staying in Mariposa at this hotel! The hotel is a two minute walk from the "The Alley", a place to grab some craft beers at night. It is also within a 5 minute walk for some really good breakfast, such as Sugar Pine Cafe. Mariposa is a nice little wholesome town to stroll around in. There are several shops within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel was very clean, and the owners are very accommodating to any needs.

Did not have any issues.

The couple who ran the hotel were lovely and friendly. They did a great job of transforming two houses into a lovely Inn. Location was right in town with access to restaurants and shops. Rooms were more affordable than other options . Very nice porch sitting area. We didn't feel like we were in a chain motel, much more homey and personal. Staff pleasant and available for needs and requests.

Rooms were very nice, could have used a little more elbow room, but we were in the most affordable room. Would have been nice to have a Lobby.

I've been in several of the rooms at 5th Street inn and all of them are nice. They take a lot of pride in their inn. Winter rates are really good.

There are a lot of windows so the place gets pretty light in the morning. That's not necessarily a problem, but it's always good to know ahead of time. They're really nice quality blinds and they give you great privacy but light gets through.
