At checkin the front desk put an unexpected credit card authorization through for more than twice the cost of the room which wasn't cleared until four days after we checked out. It wasn't a problem for us at the time, but might have been for another party or another time.

Location is great. Walking distance from Palisade Tahoe Ski Resort. The facility also has a clean swimming pool where kids enjoy a lot. Additionally, the multiple jacuzzi are also great for the family to relax after long day skiing, cross country, snow shoes or sow boarding. Furthermore, the community building, with full kitchen is an absolute plus.

Building / facility renovation is welcomely needed. More modern upgrade would increase the better experience for many customer. Adding restaurant and activity room for kids are recommended.

Quaint and accommodating. A picturesque winter wonderland after 3’ of fresh snow. A reasonable brisk walk to the village.

Our room was on the first floor facing the pool/spa area (#124)There was a noticeable clinical odor to the room. Housekeeping indicated that the smell was emitted from the pool area. Perhaps the snow accumulation prevented proper ventilation but we acclimated and did not feel that we needed to change rooms.

Great location. Our room #316 was a great value for the price. The overall facility, being a historic property, is a little long on the tooth in some respects, especially the exterior. The main hot tub next to the pool is awesome, while the little private hot tubs weren't that hot and the decking around them needs to be rehabilitated. All in all though, I would definitely stay here again.

we had issues with our door key then entire stay, staff was helpful but was still an inconvenience wish the bedroom and living/kitchen areas were reversed

Great spot with easy access to Palisades and the village. This isn’t a four or five star hotel, but for the price, you are paying for a cozy, old-school great hotel with big rooms and a wonderful, accommodating staff. Because it is an old building, expect to hear your neighbours. I’ve stayed here three times and continue to come here as a regular guest. Thank you for wonderful experiences ♥️

temperature of the room is hard to manage. it takes a long time to warm up.

We liked the hot tub, proximity to the slopes. Location is great!

The interior is very dated. The room is a pretty small for the price.

It’s not your high-end hotel...it feels like you’re in summer camp as a teen! the location, excellent staff, cleanliness, and room size/amenities is worth the price and makes up for the dated condition of the buildings. Would definitely come back

As I said, the buildings could use some updating, but I still enjoyed the rooms and the location of the hotel to Squaw and Alpine.

this is an absolutely beautiful property! the staff is extremely welcoming. The grounds are kept so beautiful! my kids really loved the pool, hot tubs(three) My daughter used the gym. The had magarita happy hour! This is a beautiful place to stay. we are planning to go back soon
