Beach Retreat & Lodge at Tahoe

Location is great. within walking distance of many things. Safeway is across the street. Loved that it was right on the lake with its own beach. Room was very quiet and clean. We were on the 3rd floor with a partial view of the lake.

Elevator was small and made weird noises. No microwave in the room: There is one in the lobby so it worked out ok. Closet is small with only 6-8 hangers, only drawers in the room were in the night stands.

It’s close to the beach, I was clean, not too loud. It was very family friendly

I wish every room could have a parking assigned it was hard for us to find a parking. Also it mentioned that their is wifi throughout the property but we were only given our keys when we checked-in and no instructions on how to get on the wifi. I tried to join a couple of times but had no idea what the password was.It wasn’t that big of a deal except my phone had terrible reception in our room so having wifi would have been nice.

The location of the property was perfect. There is shops/restaurants all around within walking distance. We had a nice view and easy access to the private beach from our sliding door in our room. The beach area had a perfect view of the lake and mountains. We loved that we didn’t have to leave the property at all, there is a sports pub in the lobby and a seafood restaurant on the pier. The tiki bar on the beach was perfect and not to mention the firepit area around the pool with complimentary smores kits. They also have a picnic area close to the beach that we definitely took advantage of to eat our breakfast with a nice view. We will definitely stay here again.

Location was close enough to heavenly village. It was nice to be close to beach.

Toilet was not flushing, reported it to front desk. Not repaired in timely manner, so we were moved to a different room. When we got to the other room, we didn’t have any wash clothes were not in room. Tried to call front desk, but no one answered phone, repeatedly. Never received any wash cloths, check at front desk several times. Very disappointed in response at front desk. Will not stay here on future.

It was cold when delivered to table. Location was excellent.

Mother’s Day and only one person waitress working and one cook. Both were overwhelmed. Waitress could use polite responses training. If a customer says thank you then the correct response is “Your welcome” never happened, not once. Cook could not get orders correct. Then the waitress wanted to argue that someone in our group ordered the plate. Not only was food delivered incorrectly but was also cold. Breakfast and not one person in our group was ever ask if the wanted a refill of coffee. Waitress was lucky that tip was included in the bill, because she probably would have got little to nothing in a tip. Our bill came to $367.00.

This is an excellent location for direct access to Lake Tahoe beach area. Plenty of stores and restaurants are within walking distance as well. The property is large and the pool and fire pits are centrally located. The elevators and stairwells are small but doable. The room was large and had plenty of storage.

The bathroom smelled a little but didn't have an exhaust fan. However, you could open the window of the bathroom. When renovations are due, I'd recommend exhaust fans in the bathrooms for sure. We loved the free smore kits at night.

Everything the Retreat and Lodge had to offer. The Pool, S'mores in the evening, Beach access, Bar on site, Restaurants, and Grocery store. All within walking distance. Peace and Quietness from all the hustle and bustle, couldn't even hear street noises. 2 mile walk to Casinos or you could rent/ride scooters.

Parking..... Was a freaking mess. Since the beach is a public beach, "local" beach goers park in paying customers spaces. The shower..... Water pressure and temperature changes Hot to Cold to Scalding Hot, when someone else is within building.

Great location as the wedding we came for was onsite, reception staff were friendly and efficient. Bed was very comfortable, room was very easy to get to and parking wasn’t difficult at all.

I was surprised there was not a microwave in the room, we had bought some microwave dinners to have during our stay but couldn’t eat them. There was no “hotel/town info book” as most hotels have that have information about the town and nearby facilities. The 3rd and last day we were there, I woke up to a swarm of ants in the bathroom leading to our trash can.

I ststayed here for 3 days overall a good stay. I would stay here again because of the good weighing over the not so good. The good: Cat friendly Close to the beach Bigger rooms than i thought it would be Nice shower pressure and gets hot fast Staff was very kind Lots of parking A elevator even outside was great to use A really big balcony to sit on Beautiful hotel overall The ac worked great Close to restaurants and shopping

The not so good: The door to my room was super flimsy The fireplace was broken but i honestly didn't get why a fireplace was in a room The bathroom had a weird musty smell Had a window in the bathroom that felt easy to break into Seemed like lots of homeless hanging around

I liked the lake view and the fireplace. I also liked that s'mores kits were provided.

That the restaurant on the Pier was closed, but that could be due to the time of year.
