Best Western Plus Truckee-Tahoe Hotel

After staying in several lodging facilities of all kinds for the last three months, this BW+ offered different, delicious, innovative breakfasts! What a relief! The kitchen staff were really friendly and made sure we had all that we needed. The reception staff was also very friendly. Our room was clean and brightly lit by the morning sun. It was also big enough for all our stuff. The outdoor pool was absolutely fantastic! It's large, and very well heated. Unfortunately the hot tub (which looked awesome) was closed. The hotel has a small area where you can sit and read a book or watch the television, and even just look out through the large windows overlooking the pool area. The beds were comfortable. The hotel is very well located, easy to get to, and about 30 min. away from Palisades Tahoe. There is a small plaza just across the street with a Sushi restaurant and a Thai restaurant. Parking at the hotel was sufficient considering the immense snowbanks everywhere. We would definitely come back and stay at this hotel!

Not much! We missed not having the hot tub, but this was not the hotel's fault. Also even though the beds were comfortable, some feathers would poke out once in a while from the duvet mattress topper.

Mobility accessible room as requested, Well appointed and very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was exceptional, and served by very friendly staff . Only negative was no decaf coffee option on the beverage machine. Price was reasonable for the area and good value for the money.

Room was at the far end of the 2nd floor, which seemed a bit ironic for an accessible room. But there was an elevator, so it was not really a problem,

I love the Breakfast was delicious!Speaking With Lorenzo who works in the kitchen on weekends was a great conversation. He gave my family great advice on the locations. Especially in Squaw Valley. It was Beautiful! Thank You Lorenzo. Also I want to thank the Hispanic Lady who also works in the kitchen whom I don't remember but provided us with great Hospitality.Also I want to add that we loved using the clean pool!

I liked everything!!!

The hotel staff did let us check in a couple of hours early due to the winter storm. Plenty to choose from for Breakfast. The waffles are a must. There is a village right next door that has a few restaurants. Great location for commuting to Northstar.

The hot tub could have been a little hotter.

Annual Rib Cook Off event first leg. Great location. Breakfast is more substantial than bagels and fruit! Located close to eating establishments (3). Fridge and room is comfortable. Upgrades on exercise and public areas is nice.

Over past 5 years of staying here hot tub has never operated. This was first year pool was available to use. The mini mart should offer wine opener. Sell wine glasses and wine (albeit screw caps), but would think an opener would also be available.

Absolutely loved the breakfast during our stay! Everything was individually packaged. The hot meals (great selection of breakfast burritos, egg bacon potato, biscuits and gravy, etc) were also individually packaged so you can take what you need and eat it either in the dining room, in your room, or on your way to the slopes. All the drinks were in their own cartons or juice bottles, all the snacks in their own packaging, and bagels sliced in their own little baggies. As for the room, it was nice a quiet. The refrigerator was next to the bathroom, which is separated from the beds by a wall, so you can't hear it hum. We were also able to turn off the heater so the heater doesn't turn on every so often in the middle of the night to heat up the room. Otherwise, the heater, like all other hotel heaters, are pretty loud. The room was still nice and warm even with the heater off thanks to the good insulation. Location to Northstar is also pretty nice. Overall, I would definitely stay again.

Nothing when compared to our other stays in Lake Tahoe.

Room was nice. Everything worked well. Plenty of outlets for chargers, laptops, etc. Pool area also nice. Parking was easy and plentiful.

Breakfast was disappointing. Hot food was good but coffee was out of order both days, Out of bagels and cream cheese and other usual fare. Paid $4.61 for a 12 oz. Sprite in the mini store. Robbery.

Breakfast was amazing - homemade frittata, bacon, tater tots, waffles, toast, cereal and fresh fruit. Hot tub is heavenly and well-heated even in the dead of winter. Location is convenient, with restaurants within walking distance next door.

Accessible room we had was huge. Breakfast area was very nice and food was great. Food staff was very nice. Close to Donner State Park and Lake Tahoe.

The door latch mechanism was awkward to use and locked us in the bathroom twice. I told front desk when we checked out.

very complete breakfast including hot entrees. pool area situated in a good place . large hot tub and heated pool—which warm enough to swim in the late afternoon or evening.

rugs could be replaced. I know because this is winter ski property as well as summer, this is can be a problem —- due to wet snowy traffic in winter.
