Holiday House Palm Springs

Wow is all I can say. I went with my partner and two of our friends to this beautiful property right in the middle of Palm Springs, yet feels a world away. The hotel has anything you could need - breakfast, lunch or dinner to order, drinks or food to order right at the pool, a gift shop, a large pool (heated), hot tub, misters, calming music, mini-bar in the rooms, fires at night and separate cabanas (even shuffleboard!). The staff was SO friendly and helpful, always went out of their way to make sure everyone had what they needed. Dogs are also allowed which was great and such a fun addition to see. The rooms are huge and spotless, large bathrooms and beautifully decorated. The hotel is in the historic tennis district toward the mountains and with incredible views. Very quiet at night and really can't say enough nice things about staying here. It definitely feels mid-century, but with modern amenities. Would definitely stay here again - stayed 4 nights and did not want to leave!

Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed delicious welcome spritzers in the beautiful blue lobby, which was equal parts modern art gallery and cozy sitting room. The room we had was perfectly situated so we had a view of the mountains, plus easy access to parking, the pool, the restaurant, everything. Our room was adorable and well-equipped with a huge comfy bed, sitting area, kitchenette, and a nice bathroom with GREAT amenities such as Cowshed and Marvis products. The pool area is beautiful, with grapefruit and other citrus trees all around, misters, shuffleboard, an ice cream cart, and even a sunscreen and towel station with a nice selection of magazines. It was also incredibly quiet-- hard to believe we were in the center of Palm Springs! The hotel staff could not have been better to us: they were all just as generous and accommodating as they were chilled out, which really helped us relax and unwind. The food was delicious-- perfectly sized breakfast selection, yummy appetizers by the pool, and delicious cocktails! They bring food/drink to you wherever you are on the property with a smile and are just attentive enough so that you feel neither ignored nor bothered. It was especially nice that they never gave us a bill, but charged things to the room automatically so we could come and go whenever. All in all, everything seemed effortlessly chic, cozy, and inviting. I can't see a reason to stay anywhere else in Palm Springs and we'll be back as soon as possible!

This was not their fault at all, but a wedding party managed to sneak in a toddler on our last day. The hotel clearly states about 100 times that it is for adults only-- obviously, someone still felt entitled enough to bring a 3 year old to disrupt others' relaxed, child-free stay. Thankfully the staff quickly, quietly, and pleasantly addressed this, and arranged for the selfish young family to stay somewhere else.

- Perfect location in downtown Palm Springs. - Very large rooms with a great set-up and decoration. - Long pool, perfect for swimming, which is rare! - Nice chill atmosphere, also linked to the +21 requirement (= limited noise).

- We had a large room just upstairs from the restaurant (Room 17) - We did ask at check-in if it would be noisy. We got a negative answer from the Staff but actually, there is a quite loud ventilation noise coming from the kitchen downstairs in the room daily from 11am to 9.30pm. We got an offer to change rooms, which was a good gesture, but we had moved in already and decided to stay at Room 17. - Our overall feeling is that this specific room is not worth at all the money, while the rest of the experience is perfect with great attention to details.

We booked the Suite Sixteen which was gorgeous, Living room, dining area and small kitchen. Bed was super comfy and the bathroom was large enough for two women to move around in and very nicely done. The pool was great and we were attended to by a great staff who always had their eye out for whatever we needed! We will definitely come back again!

Maybe a tiny bit more choice for breakfast, especially in the bread category. Croissants or muffins of some sort could have been a bit more interesting. Otherwise it was great!

Loved the staff! They were very friendly and very attentive! Eric was always so nice and helpful and always above and beyond to make sure guests were happy. Loved how comfortable the place was. The decorations were tastefully done. Great outdoor area to enjoy with everyone.

A bit on the pricey side. Lighting in the room, especially in the bathroom was poor. Carpet around bed was very uncomfortable on bare feet. Blinds did not keep light out.

Perfect boutique property right in the heart of Palm Springs. Attention to detail and kind staff made this stay really special. Lots of nice touches between the decor, amenities and size of the rooms. Next time I'll bring a significant other and not my mom, haha!

The front desk staff is also the restaurant wait staff so service was painfully slow for breakfast. Kitchen also took 25+ min to get our food-- SALADs. They apologized but didnt offer to comp any thing.

The hotel was originally built in 50s, and was renovated a couple years ago, they kept some original pieces that makes you feel like you’re living in the midcentury while staying there. The staff are young, energetic and very helpful people. I loved so much their library (art&architecture). They provide very cool vacation bag (with natural toothbrush, Acqua di Parma soaps, Marvis etc) -

We like all details but the only thing since I had online zoom calls during my stay, some rooms don’t have a high speed wifi for high quality Zoom Calls but we changed to another room (close to lobby) it worked perfectly, high speed wifi. If you need just tell it to the staff they will help you.

The property is small and charming. The pool has plenty of space and always enough loungers for everyone.

The breakfast never varied at all so over five days it was an adequate selection but boring. The problem was they ran out of bagels and yogurts everyday. The buffet never gets replenished (6am-10am) and so even when you show up at 8:30, there is not much left. They know how many people are there so there is no excuse. We like to get out to the pool early (9:30?) but every morning we had to go looking for someone for pool towels. Some days it took 5 minutes, others 30. It would be so simple to have someone roll towels and leave one on each chaise early every day.

Our room was beautifully decorated and appointed with lovely art and ceramics. The pool area was a heavenly oasis with staff always available to order drinks or lunch. The staff at the hotel was exceptional.

Our only suggestions would be to broaden the breakfast offering to include some warm eggs and some cut up fresh fruit. The bread selection could have been a little better too.

The room was excellent - well appointed, clean, lots of space, the most comfy bed!! I had breakfast all 9 days of my stay there. Excellent, simple and delicious. Pool and all amenities were awesome

Loved everything about this property, accommodations, food was excellent, very well maintained, and most of all the staff (Eric and everyone) who ensure my stay was perfect.
