Ocean Palms Motel

rooms seemed spacious, comfy pillows, very accommodating staff. Towels very nice and soft. close to restaurants and beach. Great to rest at the end of the day. we’d stay again.

There is no kingbed room with ada shower. the info on your site doesn’t accurately reflect the property. Looks like they are going thru an update as pillows and mattresses are new. Spackle patches in rooms. For those that like a pool, they dont have one (it is filled in with stones) It didn’t matter on this trip as it was too cold to swim anyway. Close to 101 freeway, and it’s good to just crash and rest.

We liked this room very very much. The bed was comfy; quiet part of motel; nice mini kitchen area; updated. The man at check-in is very nice. This motel is in a good location for walking to the pier and/or restaurants in one direction, and to some stores in the opposite direction.

There were only a couple things that we didn't like. When we first turned on the hot water, it took many many minutes to get any hot water in the sink or shower. This happened a few times. Perhaps it is because the room is far away from the hot water heater? It wasn't a big deal, but just wanted to let the owner know. Since CA has a water shortage we felt bad having to let all that water go down the drain until the hot water came out. Also, the housekeeping guy only came by once the entire 5 days we were there to change towels. We would have liked to have new towels a couple times.

Manager welcomed me with a friendly smile and a bottle of water. Check in process was fast and the room was very comfy. The whole city was packed for my two day stay over a hot Labor Day weekend, so the efficiency and proximity to downtown Pismo got me out and having fun in no time.

Like most places in the area, I believe this hotel used on-demand pricing which shot everything up for the holiday weekend. I think this place would be wonderful for a non holiday or midweek stay and I'll plan a little better for my next stay.

such a beautiful, clean, cozy motel! newly renovated nice updated rooms with cute wall decor. Nice clean roomy bathrooms with great water pressure, Very close to all pismos restaurants, shops, and beach. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I loved this motel however.. the king bed frame was very noisy just laying on top of it. The metal frame made it a little uncomfortable when getting on or off the bed as it sounded like a loud drum of bang.

I like the spectacular view from our room 407. The kids loved the pool. Access to the beach is thumbs up.

I didn’t like how staff member (male cashier on Sunday at 10am) handled our request for towels in the pool area. Kids have been ready to get out of the pool but no towels available. My daughter asked the front office they said it’s coming. 30 minutes after, I asked and I was told by the male cashier that people take more than enough towel that’s why they are out. Instead of saying that he will inform housekeeping or maintenance, he made unnecessary excuses. 10 minutes after, my daughter (she’s 11) asked the front office for towels, she was told that towels are still being washed. We ended up taking towels from our room so the kids can get out of the pool. It was a cooler windy day.

Hahaha, there is something special about staying and a California Hotel and listening to "Hotel California" and dancing. The IPA's I had did not hurt either...., and the weed:).

The overflow for the bathroom sink was a bit "crusty." I wiped down the floor with one of my towels and that made the floor feel cleaner but it was actually fun to do that.

I liked how they offered free parking and allowed us to park our car at the hotel before our check in time. They were nice enough to see if they had any rooms ready for an early check in which was very convenient especially for what we were doing that day.

I stayed here before and they had a pool but I understand why they probably took it out.

Totally love this motel. We are traveling with our dog they welcome us with treats and poo-bags. One of the best stops on our trip, cute beach town with plenty options to eat local and support business. Bed was 10/10, stuff 10/10, room was clean and hood smell. I mean, I can't find a single reason why to don't stop here. 100% Worthy.

Excellent place to stay from walking distance to the beach. With Available parking! as far as My first Motel. this has a Great comfortable bed compared to many hotels I’ve stayed at. and The Soap Dispensaries is Genius! good sized bottles and no small hand portion bottles other hotels give you. overall 10/10

We are simple travelers. A good bed, good wi-fi, clean facilities, a fridge and a microwave and close to the location we're in town for and we're happy. This place does that perfectly and at a reasonable price. Personal touch from the owners and you can tell they take pride in their place.
