I made reservations online under the assumption that the hotel was Wyndham Hotel as advertised and I also paid for 2 nights in advance because Booking would not book it any other way and I am a senior citizen and my life just happened to be in danger up at Ghost Mountain Resort in Shingle Springs by Pollock Pines that I had to pay $70.00 for a cab to come and get me and then I waited in Placerville for a friend to get off work to come pick me up and take me to MCCLELLAN AIR FORCE BASE late check ✔️ in and I was charged $294.00 again plus a $130.00 deposit that I now have to wait 3-5 business days for and now my bank account is $70.00 overdrawn and I have no food and I spent the night at the Amtrak station and I have to wait for you to figure out that you took the room charged from my bank account twice and left me in the hole and on the streets with no food 💔😭

I liked the immediate area (location). The few staff we interacted with were very pleasant. The bed was cozy. Might be too soft for some but I liked it.

Although we had an updated room - I would describe it as more of a makeover than a renovation. Tiny bathroom, tiny towels, impossible to turn shower on without spraying yourself right in the face. You can tell it's an older facility. The air conditioner is loud but it works. Overall it's just fine. No high end luxury lodging but perfectly reasonable lodging especially if you're in town for a soccer tournament. I didn't like that there was no light or plug in for your phone on the nightstand between the beds though. The room is smaller than the online photos make it seem. I would also say it's not as bougie as the picture make it seem either.

The breakfast was delicious staff were great!! I am a disabled person recovering from a stroke and I have epilepsy and the staff were extremely nice to me, kind understandable when I kept having problems with my key getting back into my room my husband was at work and one of your staff members was so kind enough to write the number down so that I could call one of the staff members on my cell phone if I locked out so that I wouldn't have to keep walking back to the office in the hot heat or someone could come and help me. All of the staff that my husband and I have dealt with have been extremely warm and welcoming to us. Thank you 🙏🏽❤️

The only thing for me I didn't like is that the Air Force Base is a little far out and there is nothing around if you walk out there is no park or anything to go out and walk around but otherwise it's a beautiful stay here unless there's something in here that I don't know about

I asked to upgrade to a larger room, and one that had stronger AC (it was 100 degrees when we there!). The front desk was great about that, and they were very friendly. Breakfast was pretty, and the pool looked nice, but it was just too hot for us to be outdoors. We had a King Suite, which was a really nice room.

I had wished the Officer's Club was open on the weekend. The location was fine for us. We had basketball tournaments in Roseville so it wasn't far from there, and was close to Sacramento, which was visited on Sunday and saw the California Museum, in downtown and that was great.

We loved learning more about California history. McClellan Air Force Base. Lionshead complex has a key place in American history. The marketing says nothing about this historic complex. We enjoyed the Air Museum and just exploring the campus. The bed was very comfortable. The large windows allowed us to enjoy the view of the grounds. The breakfast was very good. We will stay again on our next trip to Sacramento.

The outside garbage bins needed to be emptied near the entrance to our building. The other residents did not pick up their trash outside....

As always, it is immaculate, quiet and a lovely setting with lots of trees and greenery. Very relaxing yet reasonably close to what we are doing and seeing in Sacramento. I recommend it highly.

Booked 24 hours ahead and had 8 messages - email and text - in addition to confirmation. Two more after I left not including this questionaire. TOO MUCH! And, I felt I needed to check them all as one could have been important. I'll try one more time when I go to Sacramento but if this persists may look elsewhere for accommodation. Too big a hassle!

Tidy; lots of parking if you need to park your MV; tucked off the main street and felt safe. Feels military; I think it was previously part of the AF base, so it has a barracks environment feel. welcoming Lobby with lots of area literature/pamphlets; direct access to the lounge/breakfast room. Great deal and came with breakfast; would stay there again no problem.

Building had a strong cleaning solution smell; AC was programmed to a specific temperature, so you couldn’t adjust it. They don’t accept online bank cards; only brick and mortar bank cards like BA and WF. My suite was remodeled, but need some maintenance tune ups…leaky shower head and really slow draining. Other than that the accommodations had everything for a comfortable stay.

Generally good experience. It was very quiet which was wonderful. (I was on the 2nd floor.) Room seemed clean and the lights and appliances all seemed to work. Didn't see any bedbugs. Internet wasn't super fast but worked better than most hotels I've been at. 11am check out time was good.

I thought it was too bright in the mornings -- blinds didn't keep out quite enough light -- and I would have preferred more healthy breakfast options -- but I have those same comments at most places I stay at. I didn't mind either of these, but FYI -- shower water pressure was pretty low and the heater didn't seem to get the room very warm.

Staff were fantastic, accommodating, helpful, and friendly. I would recommend on staff alone. The grounds were easy to navigate and it has close proximity to shopping, downtown, old scrt, etc. We had an electric vehicle and the two chargers on the property worked well and made our stay easy.

We stayed in the Manor which could use some renovating. The room did the job but bed was not particularly comfortable, toilet was noisy even when not in use, and bathroom door did not close all the way from the inside. The hotel wasn’t bad, just aged. For the price we paid, use of facilities, and proximity to everything it was worth it.

Love how it is so secluded and quiet. The room was very up to date and modern.

The shutters in the room wouldnt close due to them not properly installed, so I hung a towel over the window because you could see in from outside and you would see straight into the bathroom and bed. I wasnt comfortable with that. The breakfast that was offered was horrible. The girl told me they didnt have anything hot because someone was getting the groceries, strange, but there were some things available. They did have some hashbrowns that were not very appealing. I just has a bowl of instant oatmeal. Better than nothing.
