Glorietta Bay Inn

right across the street from the Hotel Del! breakfast was a very nice addition and plenty of fresh options. main part of building is actually historical in itself as Mr. Speckles who was a part of the team who designed and built the Del built this home for his family. our room was newer and close to orange street and that had a bit of road noise/traffic - but as we were not in the busiest of times it was not a huge issue. room was very nice.

traffic noise. could not figure out how to adjust thermostat so felt a bit warm in our room. we could have asked!!😊. $30 / day for parking seemed much.

The place is really neat, historical and old architecture. The pool area is really nice and the breakfast was excellent (as was the coffee machine open all day). They gave us beach chairs (may be time to invest in newer larger chairs) and umbrellas for our use.

The room we got looked absolutely nothing like the picture. I understand, always put your best foot foward but the pictures they advertise with are only about 10 of the rooms, the rest are rooms from the 90's that could use a coat of paint and some updating.

Glorietta Bay Inn is a gem of a hotel. It is in an excellent location with comfortable accomodation. There are lots of little touches around the hotel that were much appreciated during our stay. The breakfast options were good and we really enjoyed the pool. There are lots of shops and restaurants just a short walk down the street. Coronado is a beautiful island. Raj at the front desk was very helpful and gave us information and ideas for places we could visit in the area. We were delighted that we chose to stay here and would recommend it to family & friends.

We were disappointed to be given a room on our first night that had a damp smell coming from the air con unit. There was even a disposable dehumidifier box left under it. We raised the issue early in the morning and were moved to another room straight away. Another small thing that would make this hotel even better would be if other solutions could be found to reduce waste at breakfast time. The disposable plates are commercially compostable but the cutlery and plastic glasses didnt seem to be. Everything was disposed of into the same bin.

We loved the location, close to beaches, restaurants, shops and things to do. The free bus service for August was great too, all over the key places in Coronado, and right outside our hotel. Our room and bed were comfortable, clean and the air conditioner worked great.

The breakfast was OK. Needed replenishment on Frittatas and fruit, the Canadian bacon one day was like jerky. The White Cranberry and Orange juice was watered down the first day we were there, then next day it seemed to be OK. Other than that, there was a variety to choose from and we did not go away hungry. Thank you.

Breakfast was OK. For some reason the coffee pots were not operating although they were set on a cart near the breakfast area. The secondary coffee machine provided was excellent although on the final day it was not working very well. Loved having coffee available during the day.

Wasn't pleased to pay $30.00 per day for parking on site, This should be included in the rate and not an add on. Wasn't pleased with the $40.00 per day hotel fee.

Breakfast good. Location great. The pool was clean and well maintained.

Our room for the first 4 nights (ROOM 682) was not what we expected - dark, cramped, damp, and an odor. I felt we should have had better for what we were paying. The last night we were transferred to Room 450 which was a 2 bedroom suite and it was light, airy, and roomy. A big improvement!

Wonderful hotel with perfect location. Very happy with room - I had booked a room with 2 queens, but happy to find there were 2 separate rooms with their own bathrooms since I was traveling alone with my teenage daughter. Easy access to free bus stop for going to attractions. Staff was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to assist with some special requests. Finally, really appreciate that they stock Diet Coke, since the entire city of San Diego appears to be Pepsi (blakk!) territory.

Nothing, it was great all around.

the customer service was exceptional! very friendly and helpful in every way. the bed was super comfy and the space in the room was perfect! the layout was very nice as well.

other guests. slamming of doors, kids running up and down stairs, slamming doors at all times of day and night. did I say slamming doors? the breakfast served was good but hardly anywhere to sit, and again, other people. one guy playing on his phone sitting at a table for three, tables not cleaned off so that guests could sit at eating tables. nothing against the property, just other people.

We were here celebrating a milestone anniversary. The original room assigned to us did not meet our expectations based on the online photos, reviews, etc. , however after speaking with Raj, he quickly located two other rooms and allowed us to select one that was more to our liking. We ended up staying in a room in the original mansion, which was clean, comfortable and quiet. We would stay again if we were able to locate a room in the mansion section. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful.

The staff was amazing...Breakfast was good.

My room was alil dirty. The vents were covered in dust therefore the Ceiling had dust all over it. The shower had hair in it. Floor was dirty, balcony hadn't even cleaned. The chairs on the balcony we had to wipe down before we could sit in them. The a.c. was so loud. The room could use some updates. Not sure if the room I had was empty for awhile or not, but their was also a odor.
