We had a fantastic stay at the Pendry. Our room on the 11th floor was beautiful with lots of lovely touches. It was absolutely spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable. They upgraded our room as well because of it being our honeymoon and turned up with some little chocolates which was so nice. The staff were really helpful and location was great in the GasLamp quarter. The pool and jacuzzi were great too. Would highly recommend!!
Nothing with the hotel or room, it was just frustrating trying to go and have breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant and being asked if we’d booked (I don’t think I’ve ever booked breakfast in a hotel I’m staying in?!) and then told it would be a 40 minute wait when there were lots of empty tables so we ended up going elsewhere. Not had that before

WeThere were a few small things and not very important, but here they are. Check out time was not posted anywhere I could find. There were no menus in our room for in room dining. We were at the hotel for New Years Eve and while the hotel had different things happening we weren't able to participate because we didn't have a reservation because we didn't know. We ended up not having anything to do for new years. Which was the reason we stayed at the hotel.

I loved the room and bathroom! Truly gorgeous, and I want to go back as soon as possible. The staff was super nice. Celebrated a birthday and they brought me a special birthday treat to the room upon arrival. The shower was amazing, and the beds were super comfortable. The pool was gorgeous.
The pool was beautiful, but a bit crowded for the size. Expected it to be a little bigger. But when we went earlier in the morning the pool was empty and we had it to ourselves, which was perfect. We also enjoyed the drinks by the pool. I don’t recommend getting a cabana because they are too far from the pool and overpriced. But the reserved beds were wonderful! The cleanliness of the jacuzzi was concerning. There was spit with mucus and hair during the morning swim, which wasn’t ideal. Wish they would clean it each morning. But other than that, it was quite wonderful!

Lovely boutique style hotel. Front desk staff are excellent especially the Concierge Vito who was superb. The restaurant staff were nice but a little unfocused. Food was tasty but expensive. Pool area was really nice, but there’s a definite shortage of beds and very annoyingly there’s a load of empty beds all the time with reserved signs on. This is infuriating as hotel residents. The staff did not handle this well, but eventually we did get bad each day.

Excellent service, location and very clean rooms. Definitely a 5 star hotel look and feel from the moment you arrive. The location is excellent in the heart of the Gaslamp and seemed like all the key areas we wanted to explore were within 30 minutes. The sticker price is a little pricey, but when we arrived I discovered we got $100/day credit for almost whatever we wanted on their premises. With 3-4 restaurants/bars, a spa and a mini bar there are some plenty of options to use every penny. Loved it, highly recommend it, and will go back again!
Rooms are small, but still provided us a comfortable stay.

Loved this hotel overall but if you're with kids you need to think about the "open shower" concept (yes there's a 3/4 curtain and a sliding door, but it's easy for kids to still come in). Pool was too cold for winter time (it's ok if you have a full day of sun however). In-room dining options a bit limited, especially for kids (but plenty of restaurants in the area). Valet parking is just too expensive at $51/day.

The hotel itself is fantastic, and the staff if very accommodating! Modern rooms, nicely built etc.
The only downside is the noise - it's a very noisy location (rickshaws blasting music until 1am), loud bar music nearby, and they throw loud pool parties on Sundays. Kind of like those hotels in the Meatpacking district of Manhattan. So if you want to get some R&R stay somewhere else.
