Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Downtown/Bayside

The property was clean, modern, and well kept. The breakfast was great and had lots of different choices, even for my 4 year old who tends to be picky. Before we arrived I was worried about the breakfast based on past reviews I saw here, but it exceeded my expectations. The staff were always friendly and helpful!

The $50/night parking charge feels way overpriced. I knew going into our stay we would be charged for this, so it was not a surprise, but if there was anything I would suggest be changed, it would be the cost of parking.

Great location

We really enjoyed everything with the exception of them doing water maintenance which we were not notified of before booking and meant that the water was off an entire day from 11am till about 5:15pm. one of the days we were there. we felt like we should have had a discount that day due to not being able to use the shower, toilet or sinks in our room.

The location was excellent. Close to the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld. Walking distance to Lillle Italy and the bay was beautiful. Our room was cleaned daily. Housekeeping staff were friendly and polite. We will likely stay at this hotel again in the future. Valet was always on time and friendly.

I wasn't happy our two bedroom suite was not ready when we arrived for check in at 4PM. If im paying over three thousand dollars for 5 nights i would expect our room would be ready. We had to wait about 25 minutes before we could check-in. So we waited in the lobby along with our luggage. I think 50.00 p/night for parking is a bit steep. The refrigerator was loud. Might need replacing.

every thing us good, clean and facilities and services abd location

every thing is good, probably the water of the pool can be cleaner, that was clean but i had a sence says it can be cleaner . also on breakfast milk is run out and they told me it is ran out so i put my serial away and after 15 min , they come and fill it out. but in total is very goog hotel.

the location was perfect for what we wanted to do while in the area. The common areas were family friendly and comfortable. Very clean throughout.

The advertising of the suite I booked was misleading, I thought I was getting a one bedroom queen suite based on the description and pictures but I was given a hearing accessible suite. Check in time was 4pm and they mean it, they didn’t have a room ready for us at 3:40pm, they had to hurry and finish cleaning a room for us for 4pm check in. I was disappointed in the WiFi being as I frequently didn’t get reception on my phone. The WiFi signal was available maybe half of the time. Breakfast was great, lots of choices and well done but it ended at 9am on weekdays. Traveling with kids, it required planning to make sure they got breakfast before the dining room closed.

The facility was located in a great spot, and it was easy to get everywhere. We also appreciated all the help that the staff gave us no matter when we had a question. They were always at the top of their game and in good spirits and knowledgeable. It’s a great place to stay if a person needs to accommodate five people. Next time if we are in San Diego and it’s just my husband and me, I doubt we will stay here. During the weekend it got overrun by a lot a little kids that is out of the hotels control and not really a ding on the hotel itself. It is superb for family.

We love this hotel and return every year. We were attending a conference at the Convention Center. The hotel is in a perfect location with a beautiful view. We had two suites with harbour views. The rooms were spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The free breakfast was appreciated and had a good selection. The lounge areas were great especially the fire pits. lused the gym this time too. Loved the Peloton bikes. All the staff we met were great, very friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Alfonso for great customer service and for sorting us two rooms on a high floor and next to each other. Absolutely no negatives at all from us! Thanks for another great stay!

Breakfast was a plus in the morning and overall the pool was open and it was a great little vacation. The area is nice and would not go anywhere else. Postmates works perfect and the night life even with COVID around is still here.

The bed sheets were a little thin, would of liked a bed comforter or something a little more thick and a mention of no available parking would have been nice also. Arrived on my vacation to find out there was no where to go park and had to pay valet $45 a night just to have a place to leave my car.

We loved how spacious our 1 bedroom suite was. The person at the reception was extremely accommodating when we requested a top floor so our autistic child (who has issues with vibrational noise) could relax. We also like that you could walk either way, to the Maritime Museum or to Little Italy and explore. It was extremely close to the airport too. The hotel is modern, clean, and the onsite restaurant is great!

The only thing we didn't like was the sofa-bed. They should check those as ours was super old and noisy! You can't roll over without making a lot of noise, plus you kind of can feel the springs all over your body!

This location is not bad, walking distance to Little Italy, and not super busy. The room was spacious with plenty amenities. Breakfast was included and was decent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Kids enjoyed the games provided outside and laundry room came in handy.

Parking is valet ONLY, at $50/night with in and out privileges. Valet staff were a bit rude and made us feel rushed while trying to unload. Pool is small and only at 3ft level deep. Check out shows at 11am, and cleaning staff was knocking at our door at 730am, even with our "do not disturb" displayed.
