Days Inn by Wyndham Woodland

Conveniently located off highway and next to Black Bear Diner. Easy check in and out. Rooms clean. Check in by kiosk futuristic. Front part of parking lot is well lit for security.. Despite being next to major roadways, traffic noise was minimal on 2nd floor. Continental breakfast good, but limited to cereal and grains, yogurts, milk, bagels, coffee, juice. While I was concerned about the security of my fully packed SUV, in the end it was safe in the well lit front parking area. Met a few other pleasant travelers at breakfast time.

While kept up well, building is older. Not even sure there was a elevator to 2nd floor. Air conditioner quite loud, though that may have been helpful to drown out outside noise...in the end, we slept well.

Location, staff, amenities, room had fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, coffee maker and offered cereal, toast, fruit, coffee, juice, milk in the morning. The cleaning crew was the friendliest and very very very attentive especially Sophia, I was sure to ask for her name. Another time we went to pool in morning and it was locked and she immediately had it opened for us and brought us pool towels without having to ask.

It was an inconvenience that there was no elevator. But the cleaning staff Sophia assisted in helping carry my items down the stairs, very courteous lady that went out of her way.

The room was clean. Hot water was quick. Room was quiet.

No in-person to check us in. Had to use a device to check in with a video conference with a person located in the Philippines. When we checked in she scanned a copy of my driver's licence. When I checked in there before they just look at your driver's licence. The lady also put up on the screen my room number and the wifi password. I had to take a picture of it with my camera. There was no one at the front desk when we checked in or checked out. Did not like the process at all.

I liked pretty much everything about the place. Entire facility was clean, the staff was competent, experienced, and helpful. It was a novel experience to check in to the motel without a human present. An on-line kiosk connected me by webcam to the check-in person. Parking was ample. Internet worked well.

internet was unsecured system. wish it had been a secured network. items in the room were not arranged to my best advantage. I used microwave and room refrigerator, but had to re-arrange some furniture to make a counter for spreading out food items to take in and out of microwave.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The rooms are comfortable, but the surrounding area is really really bad and made me extremely uncomfortable to park my car. The comfort inn and suites was only 15 dollars more for a suite and it was in a better area.

The surrounding area was riddled with drug deals and the back fence was cut open and when we left we could see a homeless encampment set up right behind the fence. Makes you uneasy to leave your car in the parking lot although nothing was broken into.

The staff was friendly and efficient and you can tell that the owners and employees take pride in their work. This hotel is conveniently situated, there’s plenty of parking and the room was clean.

This is an older property and it’s showing it’s age. You can tell that there’s been efforts to modernize the aesthetics and that’s much appreciated. We stayed in room 111 and I found that the tv remote needed to be within 3 feet of the tv to work. I couldn’t use the remote from sitting at the head of the bed. Additionally the electrical outlets need to be replaced. Several of them are now loose and do not hold the item you plug in tightly. This is an electrical fire hazard.

Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and everything worked properly. Loved the check-in with the Kiosk virtual helper since it was later in evening - very welcoming! Staff also make more coffee stronger and was very personable.

Just note there is no elevator - fine for me, but this might cause an issue for some. Dogs were sometimes barking which was a little annoying, but not a huge deal either as this was the exception.

Very nice staff, very accommodating and eager to please. The first room they gave me had a wonky air conditioner so they moved me to another room. Very nice room. For the price, it was better than expected. There is a McDonald’s and a Black Bear Diner in the same parking lot, so no need to drive somewhere for dinner once you arrive.

The included breakfast was not much, just some granola bars and wrapped muffins. But, for the price of the room, I can’t complain that much.

The rooms were fine. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was standard, minimal coffee and rolls. Woodland has a surprisingly good historic area with good casual restaurants and lots of restored or maintained buildings and turn-of-the-20th-century houses.

There is no elevator. We were on the third floor and carrying luggage up and down was difficult.

Everything! Location was quiet and private with plenty of safe parking. The room was well-furnished and well-lighted. The bed was super comfortable - best sleep we have had in weeks. Good shower and TV. Excellent, quiet fridge. The pool was the perfect temperature for hot weather.

No complaints about anything - we will return when next in Woodland.
