Holiday Inn Express - Colorado Springs - First & Main, an IHG Hotel

Staff was friendly, location was great, room was nice and clean. I liked that breakfast was until 10, most other hotels close up at 9. And check out was at 12 that's nice when you want to sleep in on weekends. You are able to walk to restaurants, and there are many to choose from. I also love the bottles of shampoo and soap in the shower. Plugs in the side table are a huge thing for me, I don't like to stand on my head to plug my phone in. Lol

Walls seemed thin, people in the hall talking was very loud. The bed was very hard. No regular coffee for the keurig. Missed a microwave. But these are not deal breakers. We'll maybe the bed. Are the mattresses the same in all the rooms as in firmness?

Convenient location - walking distance to a lot of shops, restaurants, & movies.

The Ogre that was tending to the breakfast was very rude, not just to us but others as well. You better be sure that you made it to breakfast before 8:45am in order to enjoy the good stuff like bacon & pancakes even though breakfast was over at 9:30am. The pancake bag needed to be replaced before 9am & when a lady asked for it to be replaced, the Ogre said the machine wasn't working anymore. This would've been a great stay overall if I didn't have to start my vacation days around such a nasty attitude.

Breakfast delicious, large variety of hot and cold items. Well-staffed, everyone professional and pleasant. All areas clean and attractive. Fitness room well-equipped. Room comfortable and furnished with versatile and flexible furniture and fixtures (ample outlets and lighting), full length mirrors, roomy bathroom, nice selection of tv viewing. Printing and internet available in business center (well-equipped).

Very nice Holiday Inn. Great front desk people, clean and comfortable. Quiet. Breakfast was good. The best part is that it is RIGHT next to everything- tons of shops and restaurants.

It was at least twenty-five dollars more a night Than the other Holiday Inn's in town. I think that was a bit much. Not necessary to jack up the price that much just because of location.

because of Covid breakfast was still pretty dismal. The fruit looked old and the other choices were very limiting. I'm not including that in my ratings as I think it wouldn't be fair right now, but really...fresher offerings would make a big difference I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express for years when I was working and have always found them to be satisfactory for me, I don't know when you'll be able to provide breakfast again, but for the price I paid I went out every morning to find a decent breakfast. So that was disappointing. The good news is that all the cleaning staff I bumped into were so courteous and professional, the hotel was clean...so important now more than ever and one desk staff member was a delight. It provided a relaxed atmosphere for me while I was there.

I think I just explained that. Also, my booking confirmation from Booking.com was $1018.46. My final bill when I checked out was 1,044.76 and although that's a very small difference it should matter. I called the hotel after I arrived home and the staff member who answered was quite disinterested and said there was nothing she could do to remedy this small, but important discrepancy. It was up to Booking.com

Absolutely wonderful location, staff and room! We arrived a bit earlier than check-in time and we were called when a room became available. Room was clean, beds were comfy, overall great stay and would come again. There are so many things walking distance as this is in a shopping plaza, recommend Holiday Inn Express!

This is a clean, cozy, wonderfully located Holiday Inn. It has all of the comforts you would expect, along with the location which is excellent. Tons of stores and restaurants all around.

My only criticism is that it was 20-30 dollars more a night than the two other Holiday Inn's in town, just because of location. I almost didn't book.

Modern, comfortable, quiet, well-staffed, excellent breakfast bar and pet friendly.

The pet deposit is high, but after two nights it is apparent that only guests that manage and value their pets highly are willing to pay it. The pet area was clean, and everyone leashed their dogs. No noise or obnoxious behavior observed.

The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. The staff was friendly even fir a 1 am check in.

Breakfast was not served until 7 am, for a working hotel, many meetings start at 7. The price was moderately high for the accommodation.
