Hampton Inn & Suites Denver-Speer Boulevard

I have to say the staff were outstanding! I arrived late in the evening and had an issue with locating my credit card. The staff member was really patient and helpful. The room was large, very comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was also spotless with excellent water pressure in the shower. The room was very quiet overall. Breakfast was really lovely, again with super helpful staff making sure you managed the waffle maker correctly. There was lots of choice for breakfast and tea/coffee available all day. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown, but removed enough to be quiet. I would recommend a stay if you are traveling to Denver!

There were noisy folks in the hallways in the morning hours, but that isn't something the hotel has control over.

Overall the location, for our purposes, suited us fine. The staff and cleanliness was great, especially in the dining room during breakfast.

What I don't like in any hotel, especially one that was charging over $200 a night, is paper plates, plastic flatware and paper coffee cups. I can't tell you how much my husband dislike this trend. Paper plates and bowls have their place at a picnic, not for a hotel. And coffee from a paper cup is horrible. Why are proper china plates & bowls with metal silverware so difficult to provide? All this plastic waste is unacceptable. Set yourself apart and do it right.

The staff was amazing and it was so nice to have a ceiling fan in the room. The location was also good. We were able to walk to the Rockies baseball game.

It was nice that there was a washer and washer and dryer available to guests, however the dryer didn't dry at all. It appeared to work but after hours throughout the night, the clothes were still just as wet.

Not a "Hip and happening" or boutique hotel with a bar. But Hotel is very well maintained, clean, and rooms are as pictured. Location - very close to downtown and right off the freeway for ease of access. It's close to LoHi restaurants (10-15 min) and fairly walkable to union station or coors field (20-30 min walk), but you do have to walk across the freeway (there's walking trails). There are, on occasion, questionable homeless individuals walking around at night. Too far to walk to Larimar square or capitol building. I recommend staying here if you're visting Denver but also plan to drive around to other locations in Colorado. Primarily because there's free onsite Parking (no additional charge) - which is great since we had a rental car. The lot is a bit small and outdoors. Safety - they require key access after 8PM which is nice. 24-hour reception. Staff is really friendly/nice. Breakfast was great - hot items (variations of eggs/sausage/bacon each day, and waffles) and also cold (cereal, muffins, pastries), juices/coffees and teas. All self serve and they ask you to sanitize your hands and use gloves which is nice. Wifi is also included.

It is a small front desk. So be wary to not check out at the same time as everyone else. Lobby is also small (so can get massively crowded while waiting). The parking lot by the main entrance is also very small -- so depending on the time of day it will be hard to pick up/drop off for luggage right by the entrance (they do have carts you can borrow).

The place was super clean, spacious and very comfortable. The front desk lady Susan was incredibly helpful on multiple occasions. The breakfast was great and the gentleman serving breakfast was so kind and helpful. We really appreciated him and the cleanliness of the place.

I wish we would have asked for a room on a higher floor. We had 2 small kids with and I totally understand the reasoning of putting us on the ground floor for both noise, and privacy. I know that if I would have asked the front desk would have accommodated us in a hot second. She was wonderful!

Every day while I was gone the room was serviced and the lady at the front desk each evening was very nice. She made everyone feel welcome and you could tell it was Genuine not fake like other places I've stayed.

The hot food for breakfast needs some work. The potatoes was not very good. The eggs was also sub par. But the red velvet waffles was on point!

The staff was very accommodating, very nice. The place was clean and well stocked. The beds were comfy and cozy and we liked the all white linens because you could tell they were clean. The thermostat worked and kept the room very cold.

It was a little pricey and maybe the breakfast could be upgraded just a bit.

We stayed for one night and our experience was great. Freddy, who worked the front desk, was great and friendly. Breakfast has a nice selection.

Limited parking but we didn't have any issues. Just something to look out for.

The hot breakfast was good! The location was great! The rooms were very comfortable, including the firm beds. There was a good selection of pillows also.

They closed their office/printing self service.

a quiet room, but I was on the top floor. Very good free breakfast. The adjacent neighborhood was a nice place to walk, and there were nearby restaurants.

In the midst of a pandemic, and no one in the hotel was wearing a mask, including any of the staff members. The only people I ever saw wearing a mask for my son and me.
