The Westin Denver Downtown

Love the Heavenly bed and covers, love the shower Westin showerhead (we have enjoyed the same one in Dallas, Costa Rica, and Denver in the last few weeks alone!) Location right on the 16th Street Mall is perfect for enjoying downtown. We ordered room service one morning, and our breakfast arrived within 5 minutes of our order!

$46 per day for valet parking when the valets were so busy we actually accessed our own vehicle most of the time - that kind of sucked. So did the lack of staff to help with luggage when we arrived. The property is also in need of a refresh, which is apparently scheduled for next year.

While on our way back home from Spain after guiding trips on the Camino de Santiago, we opted to sleep in Denver to become acclimatized to the altitude before driving up to the mountains. We took the light rail tram from DIA and walked 4 blocks to the hotel. It was perfect for that. The next day, we walked to the Budget Car Rental another 4 blocks from the hotel. The logistics all fell into place. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant which was surprisingly good.

location was strategic, 16th St. is one minute walking so many restaurants close by for example, chees cake factory, PF changs, pizza, etc., also many groceries shops around the hotel , CVS, Target . Banks as well. rooms are well equipped with enough furniture and splendid ambience with nice looking view from window which connect you always to the downtown.

breakfast are not met my expectations since it is not an open buffa it was poor set menu. house keeping are not active that much, they come up on request not as fixed daily round. sinks of bathrooms require some cleaning since bad smell come out, and the bathrooms are out of ventilation system to suck unhealthy air and bad smell to keep always the bathrooms fresh and health. corroders require some care touches : lavender odor, arts pieces, some artificial planets and so on. back door must be secured with one guard man and enough lighting since homeless men are gathering over there especially on nigh. bed is not comfortable since mattresses are so bad and not healthy for the backbones.

The room was amazing. The bed was great, the bathroom was better. The shower was the best I have ever used during a hotel stay. The hotel is an amazing choice.

Not having free WIFI sucked. I had to use cell data the whole time. I would have like to have WIFI. The other thing I did not like was the construction noise.

Security. Comfortable bed, a Murphy bed at that. In house bar. Our room had a patio, that was a bonus. Bath and shower were very nice. Very quiet, heard no disturbances. And the proximity to the surrounding area of restaurants and activities.

Going to say the price in relation to what our needs for the room were, very simple, a day at the game which included a beer fest ant to keep us off the roads. It would be nice ,maybe, to have a "locals price " for such one night stays. It would would encourage us to get downtown more.

The location, staff and the view! Couldn’t ask for better on all accounts. Brent and Marissa were particularly accommodating, welcoming, friendly and helpful.

“Ingredients”! The hours were terrible, the staff was rude and not a bit helpful. Our first morning we stopped to get a fruit cup out of the case. He told us he was closing and we were too late. I told him we’d give him the exact change and he said nope! It was right there! All he had to do was hand it to us and take the money. When asked where we could go he acted like he was too busy to answer the question. Anywhere up or down the street, he said. We were there for eight days and didn’t go back, even when they were open.

I liked the attentiveness of the staff. They were extremely professional and always polite. The location was awesome with everything within walking distance. The room was clean and the bed gave me the best sleep, just like home.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The location was great; close to Union Station where our tours left from; where shuttle to Red Rocks left from; and walking distance to Coors field and museums.

No complimentary coffee available in the morning and no umbrellas at the pool area. In that heat and sun, umbrellas are a necessity.

The location was perfect for waking to restaurants and the theatre! The room on the 18th fl had a lovely view! We didn’t use any of the facilities of the hotel!

We couldn’t walk on 16th mall as it’s under major construction!! When we checked in at 4 pm there was only a Murphy king room ready so we took it but it was comfortable! Nothing to complain about by our 1 night stay!

staff was really nice and professional . I loved the. cleanliness and professionalism. I will definitely book here again if im ever in the area.

I didn't like that I was charged $15 over my original bill there was no explanation for this charge. Other then that , this was a very nice hotel i definitely will return to stay again .
