Cheshire Welcome Inn

The location was perfect for my needs. The property was clean, beautifully is landscaped and very well kept. The bed linens were clean and fresh, the mattress was extremely comfortable. The room was small but had everything I needed and I felt secure and safe in it. The weather has been extremely hot and humid, and the a/c worked perfectly. The unit was a bit noisy, but I like a bit of steady noise when I sleep. I only interacted with staff briefly, but check in was pleasant and efficient and the maid I met when leaving was friendly and very upbeat. The price was appropriate for the area and amenities.

Rooms were a bit “dated” in appearance but clean, comfortable and exactly how they appeared in photos.

Location was convenient for me. I liked being able to park in front of my room door; liked being able to control the heat; I appreciated the small coffee pot. Check in and out were very easy. Room very comfortable and clean. Lovely hot shower water!

Two coffee pods - one for the evening and another for the morning would have been great, but only a very minor inconvenience. I realize that not everyone enjoys a cup of coffee before bed. Access to grocery stores and other conveniences super close. I did have wi-fi issues & it was late at night so no way to deal with it, but I believe the issue was with my laptop, not their system as my phone had no issue with the wifi.

While there is nothing fancy about this place (a one floor “motel” on a busy road), it is super clean, orderly and thoughtfully appointed with things such as a chilled filtered water spigot, mini fridge, microwave, little coffee maker, hair dryer…the mattress was very comfy. Some of the reviews for nearby “chain” hotels were not good (dirty etc) I took a risk and reserved here for a campus visit at Quinnipiac. It was great, and a short walk 2 mins (?) from a simple but good breakfast place, and a very short drive up the road from a Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. There aren’t a lot of options in the area … book it!

Exceptionally clean, well-outfitted with refrig, microwave and granite counter, clothes rack, luggage rack and dresser. Very attentive, polite and friendly desk staff and manager, who seem to be a "Mom and Pop" operation where they take pride in tidiness and attentiveness to guests, They apologized that the only available room that night was small and said that next time I stay they'd put me in a bigger room. They really seem to bend over backwards to make this budget motel a very nice experience. I rate it higher than chains like Holiday Inn Express and Marriot Grand. It's my first choice in the area.

One thin blanket on the room for September weather that turned chilly.

A fresh coat of paint and a few other details like non-carpeted flooring to spruce things up can really bring an improved perspective to an older motel. The room was clean and offered a comfortable bed with good sheets. Nice to have a fridge in the room. The manager was friendly. There was a great family run BBQ just around the corner behind the motel, and a Starbucks in walking distance.

The older motel beneath the surface of this newer version can still be seen and felt, though overall not an issue. The door to the bathroom hit the toilet when ⅔ open. Some tissues in the room would have been nice. Sound carried a lot in the building, and while the guests were generally quiet I still found that surprising. Louder vehicles that passed occasionally on the main road were audible in the room.

For the price I paid I think it was very clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you like the small town vibe this place is for you. On the main street you have restaurants, and a grocery so everything you need in walking distance. The neighborhood seems safe and nice

Please keep in mind this is not a 5 star hotel. You get what a you paid for. The decor is a little dated and the bathroom door was hard to close. You are located on a busy road during the day there is alot of traffic

The room was decent size for two double beds. For a room that wasn't overly large it had a lot of amenities in it. It was very clean, tidy. Nice that you can just walk to a good breakfast a few doors down.

I did hear people talking a bit in the next room in the very early morning hours. The heater was a bit noisy when it kicked on but fortunately did not run endlessly.

Large parking (dedicated parking lot per room), reasonable sized room, comfortable king bed. Very close to Big Y Market. Good accommodation for transit or only 2-3 nights stay.

Small bathroom, cramped sink in room instead of bathroom. A bit noisy being next to main street with high traffic.

The motel is extremely well kept and perfectly comfortably. It's not fancy but is fine for a short stay, and being able to park in front of the unit is a real plus. The staff is friendly and helpful, and there's an excellent coffee shop next door for breakfast.

The motel met all my expectations.
