Hilton Garden Inn Wallingford/Meriden

We were a family of 4 adults sharing a room with 2 Queensize beds. The room size was good. Air conditioning unit was quieter than a lot of other hotels. Did not use the pool, so can't comment. Did not use the restaurant.

The room size was good, but the hotel did not make up our room for 4 people. We had 3 large towels, 3 small pillows per bed, 2 coffee cups and 2 sets of creamer. Air conditioning, under the window was much appreciated, but the room curtains were long, so we had to leave them open all night, which was not ideal.

Our family arrived late flying into Hartford CT so our check in was not until 9pm however the receptionist checking us in was very pleasant and fast so we could get to our room after a full day of travel. The hotel is beautiful and clean any employees we ran into from front desk to the team cleaning through out were so kind and pleasant. On our last day before check out we stopped in to the business office to sharpen pencils for my 6 year old to have ready to draw on the plane rides well the sharpener in there did not work. I went to the front desk and asked if there happened to be one more on site we could use, and with out hesitation Pam went to go look only a minute later binging one back for me to use. She even visited with my little guy while I hurried to sharpen all our pencils! Super awesome staff and a lovely hotel! Should our travels find us in Wallingford again I know we will be booking here!

Love the modern, spacious lobby, complete with bar and restaurant. Easy access to highway and very clean.

The beds have a large wooden frame which extends past the mattress. Space was tight around the queen bed closest to the window and the nearby desk. Both my daughter and I smashed our shins on the bed, more than once. Boy did that hurt and left bruises. It happened easily as the eye looks to the end of the mattress, forgetting that the frame extends outward another 2 inches at least.

Staff was extremely pleasant. Location was convenient. Beds were comfortable. Room was quiet. Workout room clean and adequate weights etc.

Room (suite) had dust bunnies/webs in corners, lamps tilted, no soap on arrival in bathroom. Drink at bar was badly made; first order was wrong and the correction was terrible. Too crowded/slow to have breakfast on Saturday morning so we had to go elsewhere. Table in suite very small, tough to have that takeout breakfast on. Pool was occupied by one family for hours (they ate pizza in there as well and kids running all over the place). Elevator so slow, but stairs were fine.

Nice pool (water was very comfortable temperature), the breakfast was great, the stuff is quite accommodating, the room was great size. It's everything you could expect from that hotel

I don't think there's anything exciting in the walking distance. Otherwise, it's a nice place to spend then night when you are driving somewhere

The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. The rooms were spotless. The beds were very comfortable. There is a restaurant located in the lobby that offers a limited breakfast and dinner menu, great food. Snacks are also available to purchase. Soda machines and ice machines on every floor. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again.

The room was large, clean, the lobby gym and pool area were very clean. The fast food restaurants were within 10 minutes drive

There is not a lot around the area The only mall shopping was meriden ugh!

The breakfast was good enough - as usual in hotels with different options like scrambled eggs, bacon, oat flakes, coffee and some sweets so typical continental breakfast where

I can say what was wrong there because I have just been there for one night. Actually all I had and expected to get was OK.

The staff was top notch!! The two staff members at breakfast were the best! The new lady at the front desk was awesome! The room was very clean! The view was great!

I didn't like that check-in was difficult. There was an issue where the hotel didn't have our reservation. They made a new booking until they could figure it out with booking.com. I've never had an issue before, so hopefully it was just a mistake that someone over-looked. I also didn't like that you had to reserve a time at the pool, due to the coronavirius.

Didn't encounter anything I didn't like check in staff were friendly and professional. I had dinner at the bar and the the bartender was also friendly and professional. Room was very clean too.
