DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wilmington

The location is terrific, near the attractions we wanted to visit and plenty of restaurants and shopping.

Better quality toilet paper please!!! How about a coffee maker in the room for early risers? Complimentary water bottles would be nice also. 😃

The staff was amazing. Very friendly, very helpful. The cookies were great as always. and the breakfast was delicious. The room was completely comfortable and clean. This was a very quiet hotel also.

The smell as soon as you enter the building

The bed were super comfortable. The location was nice. There were alot of restaurants on that street and there was a mall next door within walking distance.

There was no server onsite in the restaurant when I went in that evening. After waiting for a few minutes, I went to the front desk to inquire and she said the bartender is also the server and probably walked away. It was also very cold in the restaurant. I went back to my room to get my coat & met a Door Dash or Uber Eats rep coming out of the elevator. So I didn't go back down, I simply placed an order with Grubhub and had dinner in my room. No biggie. It was slow that night so I can understand the bartender walking away for a few minutes.

Location is convenient and parking onsite is good

The place is dated and needs to upgraded. They use Dish for TV services and when the weather is bad outside the TV doesn't work. They need to have smart tvs so people can log into their own streaming services and watch what they want. Channel offerings are very slim and there's usually nothing on.

Quiet, clean facility. Good location for our needs. Ate dinner in restaurant one night; food was good. I didn't request housekeeping, but when I asked the housekeeper for clean towels and garbage removal once, she was really kind, helpful, and timely.

Hospitality staff were rather apathetic, not really engaging or helpful. Over a 3 night stay, I requested coffee and cups for the room one time and really had the feeling I was a bother.

Yeah I liked it the hotel I would definitely like to go back to one of them when I travel again I already had reservation for one hotel and I got in there a little bit too late so I like to this one better it's very clean

The price was a little bit high but you do get what you pay for so I was very satisfied with it

Property was quiet at night, no problem sleeping. Appeared to be clean and sanitized. One of my prepaid bookings through booking.com did not go through to the property but they made good once I called customer service and my reservation was “pushed through”. Don’t know why one room reservation went through but the second did not but both were charged and confirmations were provided. A room was provided even though the property was full.

The thermostat in one of the room did not work properly. Discovered too late at night to deal with it….to have it attended to by maintenance.

We enjoy staying here to break up our drive to North Carolina.

This particular stay we ended up checking out after a few hours due to some issues with our toddler. We’ve been contacting the hotel for a refund after the nice lady who checked us out tried to stop the charge for the room but because it was booked third party she could not. Every time we call there is not a manager or someone who is able to process our refund. Booking did try to assist but because the hotel handles the payment they have to refund us.

Staff: Very, very nice, polite, and friendly. Hotel: Clean and Covid clean. They offer contactless check in and check out using the Hilton Honors app. Get the app before you book so you can add the room other wise you will have to do it at the front desk. The “complimentary” breakfast only comes if you pay for it by booking a particular room. I found that out after I got here. The restaurant is closed except for breakfast and it must be ordered in advance and picked up. No sit down and no room service. This is all Covid related. It a big place but I noticed it is very drafty (we came in February and you can feel all the cold air in the hallway. Rooms: I like them except no microwave. Modern, clean, and comfortable. Mattress is firm. TV is big (46in er). Like the hallways, the room is drafty, but the heater works very well. Overall, this is a nice place. I would definitely come back again (in the spring and summer!)

The fact that l had made and paid for the room prior to my arrival and upon arrival as told the room was not available. Disappointing a long day of travel.
