Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port

Stayed there the night before catching cruise ship. Worked perfectly, and the shuttle to the port was outstanding!

The hotel offers transportation from the airport to the site. The driver was very helpful before arrival, as I called to inquire about any reservation requirements and clarity about the very close proximity of the two Hyatt Hotels. The front desk attendant was very pleasant and helpful. She extended an invitation to enjoy the breakfast offered on site - despite the fact that my room access was due to be available much later in the day. The food prepared for breakfast was very fresh; there were a variety of options for meat and meat-less meals; and the dining cafe was bright and cheery. My room was designated to sleep up-to five people. The two queen beds and pullout sofa were very accommodating. A nice variety of stores and restaurants are in the local area. NOTE: The general complex looks like a developing shopping center and the hotel is placed on the fringe.

I was very pleased with this hotel. There are no complaints. Amenities like the pool and fitness center were available; however, I did not have an opportunity to use them.

There is a free shuttle from the airport. The room was very comfortable. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there is one within walking distance

The "free" breakfast was skimpy: they ran out of coffee, and most of the food was gone when we got there - well within the specified hours advertised. We had to spend a few hours in the lobby because the check-out time is 11 am and the ships don't board before 2 pm. The batteries in the tv remote were dead, but we couldn't get them replaced

The staff were friendly and helpful. Up to date hotel with decent amenities. Room was large and clean and the king bed was comfortable. It had coffee, and refrigerator. Good location with many restaurants and shopping nearby.

Shower water pressure was not good. Breakfast was typical high carb, bad scrambled eggs. Our room faced the busy highway and you could clearly hear the road noise. The windows were surprisingly not double glazed which would have helped with the loud highway noise.

Needed a place to stay after flying into town the night before a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale, so the location and price point were right. Our flight was delayed so we got in even later and therefore only really stayed here a few hours, but it served its purpose to allow us to get some sleep and a decent breakfast in the morning before leaving.

As I mentioned, our flight was delayed, so we ended up arriving outside the hours of the free airport shuttle. It's understandable the shuttle wouldn't operate after midnight, but when I tried calling the number (three times) just to see if there could be the possibility of a shuttle, I was never able to get an answer. Fortunately someone was at the desk to greet us when we arrived to check in, but not sure, then, why no one answered the phone.

The room was clean. The keycards worked The elevators worked great, no stalling or delays The breakfast was good. Wished they had pancakes or waffles tho, but the eggs and hashbrowns were good. The bed was comfortable and tv worked well. Location was close to many shopping options, stores, and food outlets

Didn't like that there was visible mold in the crevices of the shower and on some of the tile. Only stayed one night so didn't complain. The ac unit would not work properly. There is a self-manageable monitor in the living room that usually controls the room but did not change temperature when I shifted the temp on the monitor. However on the ac unit itself there were buttons that allowed changing temperature, even though it took a while to kick in. The door of the bathroom is too close to toilet..

However cereal and bagel items could use more variety. Also wasn't happy being served cold waffles after first day. Room: was spacious and comfortable. Bed was comfy. A.C worked well. Room came with a microwave and fridge. Fitness center: although basic, it was clean and offered updated treadmills and free weights. And was available 24/7 Incidental hold was promptly release after check out.

Elevators: need to be updated. Made noise going up floors and made me nervous every time I got on it. Bathroom: door almost hits toilet when u open outside door. There needs to be more space between toilet and opening door. Key cards: sometime the key cards didn't not work when inserting into room door.

Glad there was a breakfast/ it was definitely adequate but certainly not exceptional. Luckily, we don't have big appetites at breakfast. There were the usual choices... enough for us to pick from. We would stay here again.

Very crowded area with only a few regular tables in an adjacent room and some "short' tables next to the reception desk. I believe there is room to add some extra chairs which would have been better. The line was long at the time we were there and luckily there was one table remaining.

Elevators: made me nervous every time I got on it. Needs to be updated Bathroom: no soap for shower was given. When it's raining in the area sometimes tv cut out due to connection. Might want to use a different server
