Great for an airport hotel. Good facilities available while waiting for check in time.

Staff appeared grumpy and unhelpful. Should smile more and make an effort to welcome guests. Cleaning staff were really friendly and polite unlike reception staff.

The whole hotel is super new looking and very stylish. The showers were the best showers I ever used. The design is very new and unique compared to all other hotels. Whenever you get there , the front desk checking you in walks around the lobby showing you the direction of stuff and explaining things such as when breakfast is and what type. Asked for a late checkout and got a checkout later than any other hotel has done. Evefuthing was honestly great.

The water supply has a slight smell

Location: Great location, just an Uber / Lift away from the lovely areas of Fort Lauderdale. If you are the type of person that prefers to walk, unfortunately the areas around the hotel are not walkable. Room: The room is spacious and well equipped, plenty of spaces to hang and place your clothes and luggages. Bed: Huge bed, not sure what size, King or Queen, but I think you can sleep 4 people without any issues. Loved the size, beddings and pillows are great as well. Bathroom: Equipped with everything you might need for a long or short stay, great toiletries, all items are from well known brands like Dove, etc Staff: Friendly and nice, helpful when asked for directions or other information.

The A/C in the room acts as a "White noise", can be annoying when it suddenly comes on in the middle of the night. Breakfast could be better, not a lot of fresh items but enough to pick from.

We were able to check in in the morning straight off our cruise, very comfortable and new. Staff were always helpful. Oddly no facilities are listed on booking.com but they have 24 hr fresh hot drinks, ice, a great little gym and an outdoor swimming pool (b.com said no pool!) Room has safe, iron, hair dryer, plentiful towels and bathroom products. Good breakfast. There's a gas station a short walk away which had provisions, fresh pizza. So despite not being able to look up the facilities before arrival they were all there. Well recommended for pre and post cruise. Short uber ride to airport. Great value.

We tried messaging via booking.com twice to check for luggage storage or early check in but got No reply. The early check in was a great relief. On arrival we were advised they don't use the b.com message service but IHG. Worth knowing that but not visible on b.com. Avid might want to promote their facilities on B.com site and not leave them blank.

Everything was good, just wish there were cups and an ice bucket in the room, and maybe some HBO/Showtime cable channels.

There was nothing not to like!

The king room was OK but a little small. We saw some rooms with two beds and they looked much bigger for the same price. Wifi was fine. The breakfast was good with lots of pre-packaged options including egg sandwiches and muffins plus fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc. There aren't many places nearby to eat so we ordered pizza to be delivered at night and we were able to eat in that room while watching some football games. They didn't have a shuttle to the cruise port, but we got a very reasonable Lyft ride for under $13 (plus a $5 tip).

We were there for two nights including New Year's Eve before our cruise from Port Everglades. It was a little pricey so maybe it was because of NYE. Also, we sent three messages via Booking.com and to their email address to find out how to get their shuttle from the FLL airport. They were never answered so we got a taxi and had a classically slow drive-around on random streets which ended up costing $23. Way too much for such a short distance. When we got to the hotel we mentioned that at check-in and they said we should have taken their free shuttle. I guess I should have called them when they didn't answer my messages.

Our initial plans were to stay the night in Holiday Inn Express at 1150 west state road 84 3315 Fort Lauderdale.Sadly that night when we arrived there our reservations was messed up. Holliday Inn said they were booked even if we had a reservation number. Very disappointed of Holiday Inn the same night, I did a reservation to a Avid hotel very close to the previous location stated. When we arrived all was as expected. The place was absolutely perfect. Especially the cleanliness in the room and bathroom. Don't go to Holiday Inn Express, Avid is way better in al aspects!!!

Cleanliness

I fly through the Ft Lauderdale airport frequently, nearly always with an overnight layover. As a result, I've stayed here a few times and its location close to the airport is key. They will call a free Uber ride for you when you request it from the front desk. The best part is the rooms are COLD, which helps me fall asleep fast and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast options are very good, with yogurt, fruit, cereals, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, juice, etc. Just grab and go.

Nothing, it's great.

First of all I believe Daniel was an Angel because after our initial meet, we didn’t see him again… We had a not so good arrival at another hotel, and calling around and being talked to rudely at some well name hotels in Florida. I called Avid and Daniel accommodated us and was so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. All of the staff was friendly I will def be booking again when I come back to Florida! Also the gym ahhhhhmmmazing the best hotel gym I’ve seen in a long long time. They have more equipment then the high end hotels sadly…. And 24 hour coffee/Tea and Hot coco station whhhhhew honey awesome awesome awesomeness!!!!

There is nothing not to like about the property. Well my husband said he wish it was more breakfast options but I don’t care about breakfast when I’m resting well and don’t have to worry about rodents!

This a great location if you are doing a layover or stay in Lauderdale and do not want the hustle and bustle and costs of the hotels near the ocean. I have used it a few times coming into Lauderdale and leaving for Costa Rica and Colombia the next day. If you rent a car you will be 20 miles from the Ocean, or 15 minutes from Hard Rock Casino. Its very nice.

There is nothing I didnt like as its not on the ocean but centrally located and is a great clean hotel and is a good base of operation as you tool around Lauderdale.
